@srajure I'm curious, srajure: why did you use the Quick Format when re-formatting both the hard drives for this video tutorial? I always use the full format.
@mrgutchman , you can avoid formatting if you have multiple partitions, you can go for quick formatting for the C drive to save time and then do a full formatting of the remaining partitions once the installation is complete. I usually adopted this approach during a reinstallation
@srajure so in other words if your computer is unable to do the quick formatting, it will do the regular (full) formatting. is it possible that after selecting the quick formatting that there will be a screen saying that it is unable to do the quick formatting?
@crazyboy9911 the problem that you are facing seems to be of bad hard disk sectors. Try to format the hard disk separately using another computer and see if it can complete the formatting process.
Hey man please respond this I have a problem on installing windows XP. Always when im done installing Windows XP the computer restarts and the windows XP install just keeps coming
It seems that the installation is not yet complete, windows restarts several times during installation, and only after the first restart, it will not boot through the cd/dvd. You should let it complete. If possible try to wipe out the hard disk, and then repartition if required, and then try to install.
Hey dude, I have formatted my pc to a complete restoration and lost everything, is there any way i could reverse that? or any trick that will allow me to just recover a specific file
formatting is done when you are prepared to let go everything on the hard disk/ or the partition which you have formatted. If you have formatted C drive, then data on your other partitions will still be accessible. There is no easy way you can get your data back after formatting. At least not in my knowledge.
When reinstalling Windows XP, do you have to purchase a new product key from Microsoft, or can you re-use the same product key as you did when you originally installed Windows?
wow, srajure, your computer seems really fast! The bar below the Windows XP logo scrolls faster than on my computer!

@srajure what are you saying about the format at 3:29, srajure? Is it "if it can't do the quick formatting, it will go for a thorough formatting"?
