  • wow, srajure, your computer seems really fast! The bar below the Windows XP logo scrolls faster than on my computer!

  • @mrgutchman , it has been fast forwarded to make the video short

  • srajure, do you have an Indian accent?

  • @mrgutchman , yes. I am an Indian living in Poona, India.

  • @srajure I'm curious, srajure: why did you use the Quick Format when re-formatting both the hard drives for this video tutorial? I always use the full format.

  • @mrgutchman , you can avoid formatting if you have multiple partitions, you can go for quick formatting for the C drive to save time and then do a full formatting of the remaining partitions once the installation is complete. I usually adopted this approach during a reinstallation

  • @srajure what are you saying about the format at 3:29, srajure? Is it "if it can't do the quick formatting, it will go for a thorough formatting"?

  • @mrgutchman , yes

  • @srajure so in other words if your computer is unable to do the quick formatting, it will do the regular (full) formatting. is it possible that after selecting the quick formatting that there will be a screen saying that it is unable to do the quick formatting?

  • @mrgutchman , yes I remember having seen such message during formatting

  • @srajure i used to think you were saying "total formatting"

  • You are a good man, Srajure! Thank you!!!

  • @ChickPoacher you mean his accent? sounds Indian to me

  • Why does mine stop at 34!!! everytime... and it take 2hours to get at 34. anyway please help me!!! i did every thing right..i need some help.

i really cant afford to buy a new computer @this time..

  • I LOST ALL MY DATA?!?!?!?!?! :O :O

  • @max00slo , how did you loose it? what were you trying to do?

  • it just says to boot from floppy, and when you pop in the cd, it reads it as a non-systen disk

  • wow I did it !! thank you for your help I learned something new!!

  • hey i press f12 and then i select boot from cd but it just goes to the windows xp logo and logs me in

  • hi....when i install xp....to my old computer......

while loading setup it say file act20.tb corrupt...

    press any key to exit....

    help me...

  • I Lost My CD , DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHERE CAN I GET THIS CD?? WHERE CAN I BUY IT?? PLEASE HELP!!!

  • @CabyMC1 ebay?

  • @crazyboy9911 either that or your cd is bad, try downloading new windows from piratebay or something

  • @crazyboy9911 the problem that you are facing seems to be of bad hard disk sectors. Try to format the hard disk separately using another computer and see if it can complete the formatting process.

  • @srajure i think he is using pirated windows installer better buy original windows BOOT :C

  • all its saying is disk read error

  • Hmm, for some reason its easier to listen with your accent.

  • Hey man please respond this I have a problem on installing windows XP. Always when im done installing Windows XP the computer restarts and the windows XP install just keeps coming

  • It seems that the installation is not yet complete, windows restarts several times during installation, and only after the first restart, it will not boot through the cd/dvd. You should let it complete. If possible try to wipe out the hard disk, and then repartition if required, and then try to install.

  • @samioa that is easy...throw your pc to pool until it drown...hahaha

  • Hey dude, I have formatted my pc to a complete restoration and lost everything, is there any way i could reverse that? or any trick that will allow me to just recover a specific file

  • formatting is done when you are prepared to let go everything on the hard disk/ or the partition which you have formatted. If you have formatted C drive, then data on your other partitions will still be accessible. There is no easy way you can get your data back after formatting. At least not in my knowledge.

  • dali zna cod za winowxp

  • you didn't show the repair part which i wanted to see

  • awesome thnx dude

  • i insert the cd to reformat, i restart my computer but nothing happens.

i go into the BIOS set-up but there's no option for booting with a CD.

=[ Right now I'm infected with antivirus 2008 XP. Please help. =] Thank You.

  • yeah Ihave the same problem and it won't work for me either.

  • ok, i got to to start windows xp instilation

now and press enter or watever but then it says

"setup cannot find any hard disk drives on your

computer" ffs i know i have a hard drive

    plz help asap

  • at the begging it does not say

"press any key to boot from cd"

    plz help!

  • thanks you this worked for my problem.

  • Brilliant Video, look at the others, and a gentleman as well, really helpful;

  • When reinstalling Windows XP, do you have to purchase a new product key from Microsoft, or can you re-use the same product key as you did when you originally installed Windows?

  • you can use the same product key

  • No, it is not possible to do it without the XP installation disk

  • i dont have a windows xp repair installation... can u please help me?? how do i reinstall xp without the xp repair installation disk??

  • Just go to a electronics store that has a Computer repair section and ask them for a restore disk.
