it is important to note that Both Syria's Bashar Al Assad and Libya's Muammar Gaddafi both opposed the Iraq Occupation.. they were of the few arab nations that opposed this illegal occupation
No doubt all the american morons who think gaddafi was a dictator are from california, people are insane there, new age rubbish, mexican migration replacing americans, bunch of morons...
he was good man and a bad man ,one day the history will judge us and those who say he was a bad man,did he kill like this mad dog say no why they dont go syria fuck uk,usa, france stay away from Africa africa is for african, what is arabs league is blood western pupet organisation,
Notice that not one person who is saying good things about Gaddafi is a Libyan who lived under his rule, but people from 1st and 2nd world countries who have no understanding of what it is like to live under a crazy dictator whos power is absolut. The US may be moving towards that, but it is not that yet.
@dave19941000 How do you know Libyans aren't saying good things about him you retarded idiot. Next time you don't like your presidents policies get the help of another country to assassinate him you prick.
@crapfacejoe How do you know they are Libyans? When you look at the things Gaddafi did the only way any Libyans could have supported him is if they did not know what he was doing. Not liking your leader is one think, killing tens of thousands of your own people and then starting a civil war to keep power where tens of thousands more died because you used deadly force on protestors is vary much a nother.
@dave19941000 In that case recognize that the U.S. has killed tens of millions of people in the past 100 years in the name of what they call democracy (regime change). Gaddafi lives in a tribal society and tha'st the way he governs although the atrocities are exaggerated by the West. Still doesn't give fucking NATO right to bomb his country, spark a civil war and cause the deaths of not thousands but hundreds of thousands as was done in Iraq so they can own Libya's oil fields.
@crapfacejoe Gaddafi started the civil war, which NATO only entered after one side asked for help, which even countries that usualy oppose the US supported. Also, only 30 000 people died from the civil war, and at most only 500 where because of NATOs actions. I am not defenting the US for their actions thorugh history, but there is no way you can say Gaddafi was the right side to support in this war.
@dave19941000 You're ignorant if you think the deaths will end now. Read your history, it's just the beginning like in Iraq. That's what happens when you overthrow a nation's government by force, there is a power vacuum and it takes years and spilled blood to resolve. There was no civil war, there was an uprising supported by western powers that turned into a civil war because the West instigated it by supplying discontented citizens with arms n all kinds of military support and political cover.
@crapfacejoe Libya is politicly unstable, but it is no Iraq. There was no invasion, the people fighting the war where the people of the country. The uprisings in eastern Libya became armed, orginized and went on the offinsive, then after they asked for help it was given. There is no occupation, no military government that belongs to another country or stopping elections as they occure. Libya will not turn into another Iraq unless the Libyans want it to.
@crapfacejoe If he had won (and with the level of support he had compared to the NTC it probably would have been a defeat for him in the long run, only the war would have been longer) then history would have remembered the war as it does Rwanda, because he stated on state television that he would cleans the eastern cities of their inpure tribe (in other words, he admited that he would commit ethnic cleansing). That is what lead to the NTC and the rebellion in the first place.
@dave19941000 Discontent would never have turned into a full blown revolution had their not been international support and intervention. Same goes for Egypt, Syria and the rest.
@dave19941000 It was on the fucking right side , those who started the "revolution" shot civilians, and Gaddafi gave rifles to people to defend the country! Now why would hi gave guns to civilians if the fought against him ????????????? They didn't .....
@cocom12345 Gaddafi shot and killed civilians long before the revolution. Im not saying the NTC did not, they did shot sub-saharan africans indiscriminantly (because mercinaries from there where fighting for Gaddafi) but if you lissen to Gaddafis speeches he clearly states that he would cleanse eastern Libya of its tribes, which was followed by the begining of the revolution. Niether side was innocent, but the NTC was the lesser of 2 evils.
Every single lieder who do not obey to US was killed without a fare trial , like Gaddafi and Hussein and all other , if someone was a dictator and an criminal it should be judged by his own people and not by the foreign oppressors !
@dave19941000 bullshit, there is no such thing , its an organization formed to take control , check out all NTC members will be in government or in political or in something
It takes an amazing level of western brainwashing to view this clip as proving anything negative about Col Gaddafi. In fact, it demonstrates that Libya has always been about direct democracy, self-determination and human rights. This is an inconvenient fact for those who have supported outright imperial aggression against Libya in 2011. Gaddafi lives forever: beit beit, dar dar, zenga zenga! No revolution after the Green Revolution!
gaddafi he is good actar and big liar .. two things never work toghter quran and black magic as muslims if gaddafi use black magic then he out of islam
@Noxnaxia I am Libyan. My cousin was jailed for praying fajr, my fathers cousin was beaten by police for the same. Another cousin had to quit the police because he was ordered to kill a political dissident. My friend's uncle had his entire taxi company seized by corrupt officials, his life's work. Because he protested the seizure, he was exiled and could not return to see his family.
@DarkprinX2500 I am Libyan and my story is true. We know he lead prayers, it was all for show just like how Machiavelli suggests in The Prince. He also would force people to pray Eid prayer on the wrong day, and once even closed the mosques to force them.
@Eetaq in your opinion it was all for show.. i suppose all those home videos that the NTC rat thugs stole showing Gaddafi praying at home in private were all for show too.. he could not force people to pray or close mosques.. he didn't have that kind of power.. he had no official position.. the jamahiriya made the decisions in Libya.. not Col. Gaddafi
@DarkprinX2500 lol alright. He was only the "brother leader" huh? And yet he had nearly $1 trillion seized in assets. We were paying him for being the "leader of the revolution" ay, while my aunt carried a miscarriage in her body for a month because of a failing healthcare system that didn't have the resources to treat such a case. But, I guess, the brother leader's bank accounts were more important.
@Eetaq You're lying, Gaddafi was a good Muslim, it was until the 80s, he became mad. But how does that make him different from the rioters who wanted to save the banks?
And there are videos of him leading prayers, you liar.
@soph60 I figure Libya as it stands now is much like the Wehrmacht. Extremists and collective narcissists will always be a danger in situations like that.
"DIRECT DEMOCRACY"?!? how DARE he?!? what a madman, he HAD to go!!!
You do realize that even america does not treat it's political prisoners as well as the bbc says qadafi did? america= indefinite detention with no charges and no trial. You tell me who the fucking oppressor is.
Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar Gaddafi, born June 1942 – 20 October 2011), commonly known as Muammar Gaddafi or Colonel Gaddafi, was the official ruler of the Libyan Arab Republic from 1969..... May he rest in peace and God(Allah) swt will judge him as He(Allah) swt will judge all of us.....
Many are unaware that Internal Security Act (ISA) was the policy of Great Britain that installed in her colonies to oppress those who oppose the interest and administration of Great Britain. Those accused were confined indefinitely without any trial.
@tyrecopper 'Libya's Killer'? Explain how you media whore. Sixty thousand Libyans were slaughtered in the name of making a puppet state (that's 'democratic' in your eyes). But you're not quick to condemn the likes of Obomber, Scameron and Hitlery Clinton because they wear suits. Don't chat nonsense about issues you clearly know nothing about. Piss off back to Fox News and the British Brainwashing Corporation you ignorant piece of scum.
@tyrecopper It's got nothing to do with being Libyan you prat. What a lame excuse- only Libyans may have an opinion, and just because someone is Libyan it means they know everything. BULLSHIT. Chances are you're in the West, either because daddy is doing his PhD or you're abroad thanks to a nice study grant. Oh, and you involved Britain and I'm British, and I'm against my government slaughtering other people and turning their nations into puppet states.Have some self-respect you reactionary fool.
@tyrecopper Oh, and maybe consider answering the points I raised in my initial post, that's assuming you know how to debate and express yourself. I'm guessing not, because you'd rather shut everything off and go on an ignorant insult crusade. What a pity Libya has people like you: idiots who cannot dialogue or discuss at all.
The description of the video is a typical BBC lie. Who can trust the journalists after some of them put the sensor for the NATO missle in child's bedroom at Gaddafi's house, and the missle stroke and killed Muammar's son and 2 grandchildren. The next day, in order to hide this terrible crime, Obama announced the death of Bin Laden without showing the body. The soldiers who "killed" Laden disappeared. Bin Laden is known to die in 2003. Search. Think. Analyze. Read Mathaba.net for documents.
People dont understand that this man is protected by a higher power......dead or alive...we cant take the resources from people...we will be punish by God....believe it or not...bless the poor
Even in 1976 he knew about the NWO ...now Libya is destroyed, and there new leader is a CFR and wall street puppet. Western democracy, is false democracy. and if you try n live different you get NATO, knocking down your door. the TV is a weapon of MASS DECEPTION. imo.
@Mannycom420 As always, everyone blames the New (Gay) World Order and the C-Fucking-R. Are you too crazy to believe your own government? ALways the fucking NWO? What, you wanna join them or something?
@Mannycom420 How dare you write that. Don't you realize that we Westerners have spent Billions trying to convince people otherwise. Now you come along spoiling everything by proclaiming Truth!? Shame on you! And what gives you the right to write that our "pro American", "pro Christian", pro "morally decent", and "family value oriented" TV and Media in general is deceptive even if they tell a few Lies, once in a while!? On a regular basis!?! We are a Free people and you "will" believe that!
@Mannycom420 You said everything I wanted to say, and just look at how Gaddafi used his wealth to buy a gold plated car and put his parents in a huge palace. Where are the documentaries on US political prisoners? Or the US Central Bank or I mean Kabbalistic Federal Reserve.
I think Gaddafi himself was a good man and not evil. And the government pre-civil war were corrupted without Gaddafi knowing it. And these corrupted people are now back in power after Gaddafis death.
@13dachronic I agree. He looked puzzled when the beggars (youtube) said their medicine wasn't available in the free hospitals....after he delegated power in '77 it could be that some departments were corrupted and/or neglected. This guy did everything possible for his people....and almost every interviewer alludes to the possibility of him being ousted - indeed there were countless attempts. Anyone would be paranoid under those circumstances.
LIBYA wasn't a REVOLUTION it was a regime change or coup d'état BY the western imperialist ZIONISTS bastards BACKED by UN with the help of NTC(NATO TRAITORS COUCIL) and of course the so called "rebels" (RATS)
"We support the popular movements, the freedom of the people... And they want to oppress their people, therefore they accuse us when they face popular revolution"
Words that every Libyan rebel would agree with. His fate served him right for being a total ****ing hypocrite...
@zzukizzz The proof about the currency is that Gaddafi addressed the African UNION and told them about the new gold currency and then that signed his death warrant , go to my channel and watch RT on the issue or go search for the video where he speaks to the Africans. Stop emailing me because you are closed minded and it doesn't matter what I write you refuse to see the truth. Time to move on with your propaganda, you sound like the media.
@barthoedemaker Then why aren't there any elections in Libya, unlike the nations ruled by the "dictators in suits"? Can't they elect a leader other than the Mad Dog?
@alcatraz109 cause it doesn't work, look what happened to western world..going out of control now. By the way he had direct democracy installed, so if you had a complaint or wanted to see something changed you could go to the commission and report it.
@alcatraz109 No they can't elect anyone: in Britain, Scameron did not get the majority, yet he's the Prime Minister. You seem to think that people in suits who are white and Western are perfect.Kindly go jump off a cliff. Oh, and calling him 'the Mad Dog' shows just how much of a slave your are to governmental propaganda, especially when Reagan was a war criminal himself.Gaddafi was a 'mad dog' because he overthrew Western puppetry in his nation and got its independence back. Damn you're stupid.
You don't have to be Libyan to know a tree by the fruit it bares and you know a man by the deeds that he does. Any one with half a brain that watched Gaddafi's UN speech would know he was for humanity and loved people. Go to my channel and watch the videos to get an insight of how he loved his people and the world. He was all about power to the people.
@zzukizzz The west has always had it out for him and threatened him over and over that they were going to send the CIA to stage a coup. Lockerbie was never proven that Gaddafi had any thing to do with it and it was proven that an agent put the bomb on before take off. Why was the west after him all the time, because he didn't play by their rules and wanted Libya independent of the world bank and greedy corporations. They always wanted to run Libya and steal Libya's wealth.
@zzukizzz Libya war was about a coup that the CIA planed out, because he they thought he was a threat to the world bank. He was going to bring in a new currency and he wanted to give the resources over to his people and that's why his own government turned on him, they wanted to keep the power. Gaddafi never put airstrikes on his people and he always let the people decide how to run their country. If his rebels or police shot on any one, it was people that had guns and were rioting some Al-Qaeda
He always smokes, and I know he definately drank whiskey. Either this documentary was repeating propaganda he gave them, or Gaddafi corrupted as he got older.
While I muse why our corporate dwarf did spearhead the attack upon him (together with our true Nemesis, the English); it cannot be that we do now return as independent great power on the world stage, after we have abandoned the Suez channel in 1956 and disbanded our crown colony Algeria due to American pressure; so this must be some kind of American scheming, maybe as a reaction on the bad critics for the press work done for the invasion of Mesopotamia in 2003. Who knows?
Poor Libyan coxcomb! I assume that he belongs to the sort of Oriental tyrants that will never learn that the oil in their countries do not belong to them or their people but to the Americans and the international oil corporations! So I guess he will have to learn it the hard way now and he has not a single friend in the world: Even the Russians and Chinese dumped him and resisted the temptation of denying the American attack quest before the UN as they have done in Mesopotamia.
The time is now coming when western people are waking up from their huge propaganda machine called mainstream media, only because due inflation they are running out of money it's they ther are starting to use their brains a little bit.
@zzukizzz Where is you proof that he was a tyrant to his people from BBC and other propaganda BS? You are just going on hear say which clearly states your ignorance and knew nothing about Gaddafi. If you want to see the propaganda that was done by the media visit my channel for info and have an opened mind. There are two sides to every story and if you want to know the truth follow the trail What did politicians and banks gain from the Libyan war? First thing they did set up the central bank
@selinalips23 May he rest in peace, and may his life's work count for something. I don't believe that it was all for nothing; and something good will rise up out of the dust when it settles. Keep hope alive. Gaddafi's legacy will forever live on in Africa.
His eyes, showed purity of his personal mind and thoughts, but not like other politicians.
There are many Bush, Obama, and so on, but there is only one Gaddafi in the world, nobody can remake his life and his achievements, because he did all at the position of nation, not politcles.
American think they are Democratic. bull shit they are governed by Zionist if there was no oil in Libya they will never think to attack it like Pakistan a Great nation who develop the cure for all this tyranny of west. A greeting and respect for the Great Leader in true sense Gaddafi from Pakistan
speaking as a white christian - Qaddafi was the greatest leader for his people in my lifetime. Those dogs who hid behind the jew controlled NATO claiming a righteousness for their deeds is a false victory.
May they ROT in HELL together with any so-called christians who participated.
Gaddafi actually understood what the west was doing to the arab people.
And he wanted to create a pan African alliance, which is needed of they are ever to stand up against western imperialism. What happened to Gaddafi is a tragedy for the Libyan people.
@zzukizzz Do you know how the real world works and how propaganda is stage to set someone up? This war was never about humanitarian mission, it was all about taking out Gaddafi, because he wanted all Africa united and was going to bring in a new currency made out of Gold. That would of brought down the world bank. For years the west have been demonizing Gaddafi, with propaganda media. Go watch 2 million Libya people out in the streets on July 2011 the green movement, and tell me he was a Tyrant
@zzukizzz The west labels every one they try to discredit delusional, its a label you give when you don't have an answer or to steer people away from the truth. What do you know or understand about Gaddafi and what he stood for? Did you read his green book? The only thing you now about him is from the BS propaganda media. There was not proof that he did air strikes on his own people. If that were true then why didn't he continue to fire on civilians through out the war?
Gaddafi was a great leader to the Libyan people, He gave them free medicare, free education, free elect, no income tax, no interest on loans, 50,000 to newlyweds, 5,000 to parents of newborns, he helped Africans and set up a water system out of the desert. The west demonized him because he didn't want central bank in his country. He was never understood about his principles and what he stood for, which was power to the people. RIP Gaddafi the world will remember you and what you did for Africa.
@BadAzzKid100 You forgot to watch his speech at the UN and realize that it took a lot of courage to make a speech like that. Any one with half a brain would realize that he love humanity and he was a man of the people. There was never any proof that he shot on his own people, other than the Al-Qaeda rebels that were put in by NATO and the CIA. The Libyan war was based upon a coup to take him out, so the world bank and corporations could get their greedy hands on Libya. Go to my channel for info.

Notice that not one person who is saying good things about Gaddafi is a Libyan who lived under his rule, but people from 1st and 2nd world countries who have no understanding of what it is like to live under a crazy dictator whos power is absolut. The US may be moving towards that, but it is not that yet.
dave19941000 2 months ago
@dave19941000 How do you know Libyans aren't saying good things about him you retarded idiot. Next time you don't like your presidents policies get the help of another country to assassinate him you prick.
crapfacejoe 2 months ago
@crapfacejoe How do you know they are Libyans? When you look at the things Gaddafi did the only way any Libyans could have supported him is if they did not know what he was doing. Not liking your leader is one think, killing tens of thousands of your own people and then starting a civil war to keep power where tens of thousands more died because you used deadly force on protestors is vary much a nother.
dave19941000 2 months ago
@dave19941000 In that case recognize that the U.S. has killed tens of millions of people in the past 100 years in the name of what they call democracy (regime change). Gaddafi lives in a tribal society and tha'st the way he governs although the atrocities are exaggerated by the West. Still doesn't give fucking NATO right to bomb his country, spark a civil war and cause the deaths of not thousands but hundreds of thousands as was done in Iraq so they can own Libya's oil fields.
crapfacejoe 2 months ago 3
@crapfacejoe Gaddafi started the civil war, which NATO only entered after one side asked for help, which even countries that usualy oppose the US supported. Also, only 30 000 people died from the civil war, and at most only 500 where because of NATOs actions. I am not defenting the US for their actions thorugh history, but there is no way you can say Gaddafi was the right side to support in this war.
dave19941000 2 months ago
@dave19941000 You're ignorant if you think the deaths will end now. Read your history, it's just the beginning like in Iraq. That's what happens when you overthrow a nation's government by force, there is a power vacuum and it takes years and spilled blood to resolve. There was no civil war, there was an uprising supported by western powers that turned into a civil war because the West instigated it by supplying discontented citizens with arms n all kinds of military support and political cover.
crapfacejoe 2 months ago
@crapfacejoe Libya is politicly unstable, but it is no Iraq. There was no invasion, the people fighting the war where the people of the country. The uprisings in eastern Libya became armed, orginized and went on the offinsive, then after they asked for help it was given. There is no occupation, no military government that belongs to another country or stopping elections as they occure. Libya will not turn into another Iraq unless the Libyans want it to.
dave19941000 2 months ago
@dave19941000 Naive to say there was no invasion. Qaddafi would still be in power without NATO's bombing, military and political backing period.
crapfacejoe 2 months ago
@crapfacejoe If he had won (and with the level of support he had compared to the NTC it probably would have been a defeat for him in the long run, only the war would have been longer) then history would have remembered the war as it does Rwanda, because he stated on state television that he would cleans the eastern cities of their inpure tribe (in other words, he admited that he would commit ethnic cleansing). That is what lead to the NTC and the rebellion in the first place.
dave19941000 2 months ago
@dave19941000 Discontent would never have turned into a full blown revolution had their not been international support and intervention. Same goes for Egypt, Syria and the rest.
crapfacejoe 2 months ago
@dave19941000 It was on the fucking right side , those who started the "revolution" shot civilians, and Gaddafi gave rifles to people to defend the country! Now why would hi gave guns to civilians if the fought against him ????????????? They didn't .....
cocom12345 2 months ago
@cocom12345 Gaddafi shot and killed civilians long before the revolution. Im not saying the NTC did not, they did shot sub-saharan africans indiscriminantly (because mercinaries from there where fighting for Gaddafi) but if you lissen to Gaddafis speeches he clearly states that he would cleanse eastern Libya of its tribes, which was followed by the begining of the revolution. Niether side was innocent, but the NTC was the lesser of 2 evils.

They always wanted to run Libya and steal Libya's wealth.
freedom44ify 3 months ago
@zzukizzz Libya war was about a coup that the CIA planed out, because he they thought he was a threat to the world bank. He was going to bring in a new currency and he wanted to give the resources over to his people and that's why his own government turned on him, they wanted to keep the power. Gaddafi never put airstrikes on his people and he always let the people decide how to run their country. If his rebels or police shot on any one, it was people that had guns and were rioting some Al-Qaeda
