  • One the best game in our time. This player has very good skills, almost like me :)

  • God you have to love the bad english in this game."You feel strongth welling up in your body" XD classic! "This story is happy end." "Take key for coming in." All great!

  • This was good, but not great. So, you get only one congratulation.

  • It's amazing how the NES version is pretty much spot on.

  • did all this for a female that probably wouldn't even let him do anal

  • Fucking bad ass.

  • Haha, in 1985 I was with my mom in the laundromat, and I saw this game for the first time and was like omg! the graphics and the music are awesome, played it many times. Until this day, whenever I smell that clean clothing smell from a laundromat (it could be outside of a building, I remember this game), to me, I was like, man this game matches with the smell of fabric softener, lol little did I know there would be 2 more awesome sequels! ghouls n ghosts and my fav.super ghouls and ghosts (snes)

  • Dorkybits!!

  • the knife is the absolute best weapon period. if you had actually played this in 1985 or 6 you would know this.

  • Dude, you are amazing!

  • whoever did this is a fucking G..ive been trying for 20 years to get past the buildings before the fucking caves

  • In my humble opinion as difficult as this game is,the only stage that I find really challenging is level 5,for two reasons:1. you have to use the shield which has very limited range and 2. have to deal with the two devils simultaneously who are very fast and aggressive especially with those ninja stars.

  • When I finally beat level 5 today after a million tries, the game informed me that I couldn't proceed since the shield was not equipped as my weapon; not only does that make no sense, but the game never hinted that I needed it in any way, shape or form.

So instead of getting the key for going through the ogre gauntlet, surviving the ungodly amount of red demons, and beating the two guards at the end, I got sent back to level 4 instead. **** you, Capcom.

  • @abdulmuhsee yeah that pissed me the fuck off too, i beat them flying devils with the fuckin lance and they told me that i couldn't advanced because i needed to obtain some bitch ass shield....lol...ain't gonna lie, the sheild is the strongest weapon....but capcom was wrong for that...lol

  • most impressive, good sir!

  • I want some STRONGTH damnit.

  • Anybody else ever wonder why arthur is sitting in his under wear in the middle of the night with the princess? lol

  • esse é um clássico da capcom.

    o sucesso começa por aqui.

  • every time I watch this Im impressed by the gameplay skills

  • @9:01 shield FTW!!!!

  • Music sounds very Mega Drive-like, perhaps the Mega Drive and the Ghosts 'n' Goblins arcade machine used the same sound chip?

  • @CaptainAppleManFilms Sure, you can find the info for both machines around. The arcade hardware for this game did use a Z80, like the Genesis. However, the other sound chips were different. I think this sounds a fair bit different (it's probably a higher quality, too).

  • Oh my god! I salute you! I can't believe you beat this game in 20 min without dying. You are the best GnG player. This brings back memories.

  • Love this game and the sequels.

  • How come u didn't pick up any other weapons fire one sucks

  • So what's the diff between Ghosts'n'Goblins and Ghouls'n'Ghosts? The system they're released on?

  • when you get to the screen where you can write your initials (after game over) I love the song that plays. I think no one has uploaded that song yet.

  • Does the longplay of the atari st version of this game exist?

  • "resolve you battle"? "this story is happy end"? WTF!

  • "take a key for coming in"? Let me guess... "we speak no engrish"?

  • man is this tool assisted?

  • WOW @ 10:17

  • I WISH I lived near a damn arcade so I could play this version of it! I'd love too!! :D I only own the NES version, and it is wonderfull!

  • Wow, I didn't realize what a lazy programming job the designers did with this game, what with all the duplicate bosses and requiring two playthroughs. If I ever beat the game and found out that I had to do it all over again, I would've bashed the cabinet with a sledgehammer.

  • You missed your armour pick up in the 2nd loop on the first level, when fighting the first small devil there's a gap in the fence, jump and armour drops at the gravestone before crossing the water.

  • Very impressive! When did they change the cross weapon into just a plain old shield?? Dumb political correctness!

  • You are supernatural

  • is the scrolling also jerky on real arcade machine? because smooth scrolling looks differently.

  • @marquis0r

Dont forget - YT converts all our 50/60fps videos to 25/30 ;)

  • @cubex55 that's true and i'm aware of that, but jerky even halfed can be seen. i don't get it smooth on multiple mame versions here, so i asked if the real machine is stuttering alike same way.

  • Why does he disapear and float when he is hit? This seems faster than normal too.

  • this is truly one of the most amazing things ive seen ever. this game is the hardest thing i ever played, ever.

    you're one sick man awesome

  • Seriously, who throws shields at his enemies XD

    Arthur! He's awesome

  • 10:15

YES! I beat you, Satan! Now to...

"This room is an illusion and is a trap devised by Satan."

    Oh, F**k...

  • Is it harder the second time around?

  • I've got level 6 mastered except for the damn Lucifers. What is the strategy?

  • strongth is welling up in my body! although i did name my penis strongth :)

  • This is my second time witnessing this dude's skills. The first was shinobi longplay. Man you are god.

  • After all that - it gives you an asian translation of a congratulations screen

  • The end boss is a little lackluster wouldn't you say?

  • You guys play these games like it's an art form. I enjoy watching them. Keep it comin.

  • Isn't this red demon the main character from Demon Crest?

  • @RaSan69 Sure does look like it doesn't it?

  • @RaSan69 yep. demons crest was a spin off of the ghost and goblins series and showed more the other side of the story of ghost and goblins . =) do u have another questions? ^^

  • " Congratulations

    This story is happy end.

Being wise and courageous knight that you are, you feel strongth welling in your body"

    Classic :)

  • Way to go Arthur!

  • My mistake, this looks like the US rom. A little harder than the world 2 version

  • Very solid play, but this is the easiest version of the game, (the world set 2 if im not mistaken).

It would be absolutely stunning to see someone pwn the world set 1 rom or even the japanese version. I like to think that such warriors exist..

  • yes!!! excellent gameplay!

  • Congratulation!

    This story is happy end!

  • @MrPhillz : That's just like in the first Metal Gear. "The truck have started to move"... LOL There was no patching games back then.

  • Oh man this game was sooooo hard! I think I never got past 2nd level... cool seeing it played through like a pro!

  • "you feel strongth welling in your body"

  • HAIL SATAN!!!:P

  • "This room is an illusion and is a trap devised by satan."

    WHAT

  • I was thinking the same thing, dude.

What is this I don't even.

  • "This room is an illusion and a trap devised by Satan" ROFLROFLROFL LOL OMG o.O

    Um... Yeah.

  • this story is happy end! =)

  • Who is taking his girlfriend on date to graveyard ?!

  • @piwbenzyna Emo's xD

  • @Arktik83 wrong goths do

  • @piwbenzyna gothics and wannabe vampires . -__- (maybe knights like arthur =/ )

  • @piwbenzyna nobody!

  • @piwbenzyna Arthur does

  • @piwbenzyna And in thier underwear to!

  • The music for this game sounded better on the Nintendo. somewhat it sopunds like sounds from SEGA genesis.

  • I appreciate you ran through the game twice to get the real ending. This game is by far the hardest game I've ever played.

Too much for Arthur rescuing the princess already in his undies expecting to get some, just for that very same princess putting back his armor with a chastity belt attached. O_o

P.S. Gotta love those flying burritos! :D

  • " THIS STORY IS HAPPY END " LOL that's just WRONG LOL

  • Ah, got to love Engrish.

It's too bad developers back in the day didn't have the sense to get a proper translator...or have the sense to actually ASK someone who spoke native English if what was being said made any sense.

  • TAKE A KEY FOR COMING IN !

  • this is happy end!

you feel stronght welling in your body? O_O

  • Nope this is the 2nd of the Ghost games...It is Ghouls´n´Ghosts from '88 not the first one from '85.

  • Check out time-index 00:01. Says clearly "Ghosts'n Goblins", MCMLXXXV (1985)

  • Now lets see a Silver Surfer NES longplay!

Dont think I have ever seen anyone beat Silver Surfer NES.

  • without the invincibility code at least

  • KyperTrast did one.Search for it. :)

  • @TheJojo909 Don't hold your breath. It's too unplayable.

  • I love how you go all the way through one of the HARDEST games ever made, only to have to do it over a second time.

  • you feel strongth.

  • Good to see someone beat this game, I could barely make it to Level 3.

  • so in the begining, why was he in his underwear? seems kinda kinky.

  • This is not Ghouls N Ghosts, it's Ghost 'N Goblins.
