  • Coleman is a MANIAC!!!!!!!

  • The strings sound great. I can hear this influencing a lot of symphonic metal bands today.

  • As mad as a box of frogs, in a nice way.

  • Amazing.

  • ALREADY HAD THIS ONE-MADE ME LAUGH!

    AWESOME VIDEO.

  • "killing joke shows are a ceremony".....I last saw them at the lyceum,london,1982......is WAS such a ceremony that Ive been afraid to see them ever since,it moved me that much,Im scared of that intensity of feeling....then having to leave and face the world again

  • TrulyAmazing

  • Jaz Coleman is God

  • Power from the bowels of the earth

  • hear em first in 1980 and still buying their albums at 48:) massively influential band my other favourite band of all time is XTC but they faded with a whimper sadly. im so impressed KJ are still going strong and that last frame on the clip kinda summs it up for me too :) thanks for the clip mate

  • Who would have thought back in the day that Killing Joke would outlast practically EVERY band from that era...?

Saw them several years ago supporting Iron Maiden and they KICKED ASS...Bought my first Killing Joke album in 1985,Night Time, and was hooked...EXCELLENT!

  • I checked out their last album and it blew me away, their ahead of their time and always will be, great band, I love all their other albums as well

  • thank you very much to the drummer who gave me a signed copy 2 years ago , just because i mentioned to my drum teacher that i liked them :)

  • Great band!!

  • GREAT GREAT BAND EVER!!!

  • a lot of young bands would kill to have their sound so much power+melody in perfect ballance

  • youre thinking of paul raven my friend, big paul is well and alive! i have no idea what he's up to, buttt hes definitely NOT dead! Cheers! RIP Raven!

  • well Big Paul is back with Killing Joke. they have the original members now with Youth

  • killing joke are extremely inconsistent, but they sure can deliver the goods every few albums or so

  • Exactly. I remember buying their debut album around 1987 and it blew my mind. Then I bought a bunch of their other albums and was quite underwhelmed. I listened to "What's This For" and thought, "Yeah, right! What IS this for?"

  • jaz is awesome lol, did u see he used real strings? he looks better without the alice cooper make up tho. KJ is badass :)

  • how dare Jaz have opinions. Everyone should keep mum about how fucked the world is...

  • Not to Sound Like A Dick But I would Advise Everyone to not say anything about jaz 'god' coleman or even geordie, youth an big paul or raven will haunt you ;)and a quick fyi for lesleyblood: it is actualy impossible for jaz to speak too much

  • What's This for?

  • hahahaha jaz is well crazy

  • rip raven . the man .

  • reminds me of thr game killzone, helghast!

  • Jaz is the Man!

  • Great one, thanks for the post! Love the album & saw them many times live in Berlin! Even after all those years they still

    amaze me! R.I.P. Raven

  • wow they hite like a metal sound=]

  • I think Jaz'a makeup brings him to a new level. Otherwise he is just another old guy.

  • crock of shit, microbus99

  • Got my tickets yesterday for KJ in NYC in OCT. Can't friggin wait!!!

  • And what's the song at 3:43 ?

  • No-one roars quite like Jaz Coleman

  • While I think Jaz looks silly in the makeup, GAWD what a voice!!

I think I need to pick up this album this weekend. Anxiously awaiting my copy of 'Brighter than a Thousand Suns' remix CD in the mail..

  • I miss raven already! what a brilliant and influencial bass player!

  • ahahahahahahahahahah

yep killing joke are the best today and ever, what ye gonna do eh?

  • Lol, fuck'em If they can't take a joke!,thats great...I love this band.

  • I know what you mean, parrakm. However their 'cult' status does make meeting others who 'get' Killing joke all the more special.

RIP Paul Raven. Absent Friends shall live by love...

  • I wish more people knew about Killing Joke but at the same I'm glad they don't. Is that selfish? I just know if there was a giant fight that the last ones standing would have one thing in common , they would all be Killing joke fans LOL!!!

  • ask people what music they like.....and the answer will invariably be''i like all sorts of music''...roughly translated this means that they like spandau ballet and duran duran......need i say6 more?...if you dont bop the heed yer deed!

  • Great video.

One of the few bands that matter.

    Majestic!

  • R.I.P. Raven..... :-((((

  • Thank you so much

  • Cant believe the news about Raven, RIP.

  • This album is fucking brilliant. I listen to it constantly.

  • What's the name of the album? Cheers

  • Hosannas from the Basements of Hell

  • Really interesting band.

Jaz has never let me down.

  • I ve lost a sock.

  • Jez Coleman is a GENIUS. LOVE KILLING JOKE FOR EVER. John

  • You know when your Mum said not to hang around with a particular person as they could lead you astray.

  • what is the name of the song that starts at 3:43? it sounds amazing

  • That was "Majestic" from "Hosannas from the Basements of Hell" (5th track)

  • I wholeheartedly agree that this band has been consistently good, and even times when one thought they were going into bizarre territory they succeeded. Hahaha...don't think Jaz is a Prophet (please, think better of your brain and third eye, my friend), and was very amused by the Marlon Brando comment, but saint or sinner, he never has failed to be interesting. Ha ha ha....hey, Brando did some work the week that he died, so charisma knows no age or body type.

  • This album is second only to Pandemonium released in '94 & Invocation is possibly one of the best KJ tunes ever recorded.

  • Sorry to disagree but this album is next worst to outside the gate, and I`m one of kj`s biggest followers, the songs sound as though they were written in two minutes whilst they were practising, uninspiring music, pysche, wardance bring it on!!!

  • Have to disagree, love this album...the best of 2003.

  • Yeah their last album was the best of 2003,but this was made last year.

  • i agree 2003 album is fuckin awsum, i own alot of joke but its the best one. heavy drummer, not expected from a person from the foo fighters.

  • It was to pay back from when Nirvana stole there song as most of us know "Come as You Are". If you didn't realize how simmilar "Eighties" and "Come as You Are" sound.

  • this album was SO kick ASS! and with Dave Grohl on Drums. or maybe that was the last album. anyways... ROCKIN!!

  • Yeah Grohl was on Killing Joke (2003). This album is fucking IMMENSE, it's got metal, industrial, classical, middle eastern and punk rock!

  • Hosannas From The Basements Of Hell is THE album of 2006 period

  • Ah yeah that's the one i meant, the genres i mentioned are only ALL present on hosannas. self titled ones are both gd though.

And I agree, according to Kerrang! 2006 was all about the spineless emosexuals.

  • sieeeeee

  • Buddha Stalin?!

  • jaz has been wearing facepaint like that since the early 80's...

this album is heavy and brutal as fuck.

  • Sorry jaz and co but in my opinion the last decent album you released was "extremities, dirt and various repressed emotions"

  • In many ways you are absolutely correct.

  • I'd say Jaz seems to have taken on the role of Brandon Lee in The Crow here with the outfit. the album for me is going to take a bit of getting used to, it seems to me that it has more of a darker/disturbing feel to it unlike the 2003 self titled album with Dave Grohl

  • great album from front to back...

  • I couldn't agree more. It's also probably the most powerful record I've ever heard - and that's *without* Universe B, which is probably their best song yet! Long Live Killing Joke!

  • Mesmerising, the man is a Prophet

  • this clip is better than the album

  • I realy think Hosannas From The Basements Of Hell

is the best album of 2006...no contest!

  • Wow, that was amazing. Thank you for sharing!

  • jaz is looking a bit like marlon brando at the moment

  • Great interview!! Long Live Killing Joke!!

  • wicked!

  • The Black Jester shows us the way. Coleman deserves out unconditional respect for way the his passion has inspired us. The words Killing Joke will echo forever

  • Hear hear!

  • Iran, Russia & China have already agreed to trade oil & arms.

  • great stuff found of Killing joke and other bands!!!

    thanx

  • wow, i hope he's not right about whats going to happen with iran russia and china...we are living in extremely terrifying times...

  • Jaz is the voice of anger. Long Live Killing Joke.

If anyone has KJ DVDs, please e-mail me!

    fleurysmp3z@hotmail.com

  • Wow! This band is on fire!

  • Killing Joke is one of the few bands that has never let me down. Truly one of the greatest bands ever.

  • GREAT STUFF! WONDERFUL INFORMATION!

  • All the bands with longevity - u2 - REM-Chilli peppers ect, only Killing Joke still sound good and get better and are not in same league as afore mentioned, something wrong there.

  • KILLING JOKE ON THE MOVE AGAIN,GREAT STUFF FROM THE MOST IMPORTANT BAND IN HISTORY!!!
