She's just singing big power ballads because producers are asking her to do it the fact that she's able to sing big songs like that. If you're complaining about her doing covers then just go to every American Idol videos on YT and do just that. I bet you'll have more fun trash talking there.

Yes she would be more marketable for those countries. Charice is Asian and although she may not sell as much record as anyone in the US she did went platinum in Japan and other Asian countries. Most Filipino I guess expect too much from her. I'm not Filipino, but race does play a big factor especially if you're Asian trying to break in America. Whitney of course is black so her dominating the music market here helped her internationally because America is the backbone of the music empire.

I never was impressed by Charice. Whitney is the best ever. Celine Dion, Mariah Carey..they are special too. Charice really isn't. @Dutchmusicfan1992 wrong. in order for someone to to hit those high notes they have to have a really powerful voice so thats where your wrong. whitney again is a mezzo soprano. her vocal range extended from G below middle C (G3) to high B-flat (B5) she could belt out to treble F (F5) charice a soprano and her vocal range can go from a (G5) all the way up an (A5) she also possesses a five-octave vocal range and you say lack of power ? sorry but i dont see that as lack of power for charice

Charice is a good singer but her voice isn't as full as Whitney's. So yeah..against Whitney..she lacks power. And she lacks power to Celine as well.
