ahh, thanx - i was trying to do this line/cut technique, and was getting nowhere - your vid is the only one i've watched so far that tells us to move between the layers to be able to select and cut the image - it was doing my crust in - thanx 8 )
How do you make a fking picture of your character in white? What an idiot... PS. if you use the magic wand you select a part of your char and the whole background.
#1 do it have to be in green? Also i was following it.its fine.im just alil confused.once i open my pic.I outline trace around my pic correct?after im down tracing over the pic i want cut out.I add a new layer.....?Then i go to magic wond. The prob with me is the layering factor.I just want to simplely cut out one pic.thats it.and save it.
It actually does not matter what color you outline it in, because that outline won't even show. It's basically creating a barrier around your desired area of your image, so that it will copy what's inside that barrier. If you just want to save it, then just follow my instructions on cutting it out and go to file-> new-> Ok, and it should make a new canvas. Just paste it there and save it exactly like that. I'm not sure if thats what you mean, but I did my best.
Okay sorry for being really late, and not explaining things very thoroughly, if you guys are having trouble with this, then try looking at the video text more carefully again. If that doesn't help, make sure when you outline your image in green, make sure there are no gaps, or spaces, because then, the magic wand will catch other parts of the image. Sorry if I didn't answer any other questions, just look over the video again.
your figure doesn't have a background to begin with, so I don't understand exactly what you've accomplished; it look like you cut it out of a white background and pasted it to a green background? Thanks for taking the time though
It doesnt have a background because i already cut it out of the regular screenshot, and pasted it on a white background, and accidently saved it like that. Its kinda confusing to explain, but it really doesnt matter if you have any kind of color background, this technique works either way.
I play RF too!
