  • 5 people should be locked away at Gitmo for not liking the KING. Commies!

  • i want to be back to the past to go to this concert

  • Man, that guy could realy sing a country song!!!

  • Such an emotional song...sung here with a smile ?!?!? and a pathetic attempt at being professional. Elvis had his good moments...but by Christ...he had his bad ones only too often.

  • @Prolinium Clown! You just had a very bad moment.

  • @Prolinium Few things more annoying than an armchair critic, you've just bagged a person widely regarded as one of the greatest entertainers in the world. That you describe it as 'a pathetic attempt at being professional' shows what a bullshit artist you are.

  • @Prolinium Actually, you may have your interpretation of this song all wrong. Have you ever thought about that? Have you ever seen families rejoice after a person in their family dies of a terminal illness? That's because their family is so glad they no longer have to suffer. Just as that is a good emotional release, so can leaving heartbreak be a great emotional release. Think about it.:)

  • he looks like shit here :(

  • @ashofley In that case he was the most adorable and lovable shit on earth..

  • He looks fat in here.. I like much better in 1970 were he was so adorable. hehehe but his not change at all. the voice is still the same.. ELVIS 4ever....

  • He's the true Essence of cool!!!! TCB MAN TCB!!!!!

  • If people still are fasicnated when they hear Elvis sing and still new young people are among the audience- i think thats a good proof that Elvis really was something special unique, something you never will find again when speaking about a fantastic voice, a voice you can hear over and over again.

  • I was at this concert.....was at 3 in Greensboro

  • Even though somebody gets more later recognition for something i created and sounded better, i don't hold jealousy or bitterness resentment towards them. If God had planned for their lives to take a better and more popular path than mine then so be it. That is not my right or business to curse or question God's plan for anybody else's life. He will be the final judge of every human beings life He created.

  • i will always love you Elvis....your're soooo gorgeous!!!

  • i will always love you Elvis....your're soooo gorgeous!!!

  • Engelbert singt dieses Lied wunderbar! Es ist sein Song und absolut perfekt

  • Engelbert was a differnt singer and a beautiful one and a beautiful man, Tom Jones sang more in the feeling that Elvis put in a song. And don't forget Jim Morrison and Janis, Ricky and all the rest , great in their own way. Love them all, Johnny Cash was one of the original, don't you think and what about the killer.

  • @veubank That is the way all of them deliberately wanted to sing. Distinct rather than plaguerize the other singers style. Music would be boring and dull if every singer sounded the same which it is too much today rather than originally distinct.

  • beautiful! which sums up who elvis is! :)

  • such a great voice

  • Magnificent...

  • AFTER ALL THESE YEARS I STILL SEEM TO BE REDISCOVERING THIS WONDERFUL AWESOME SINGER

  • Elvis could make ANY song fantastic. Look at what he did for Blue Moon of Kentucky. Bill Monroe hated him because Elvis took his song to #1, then after Elvis, Bill decided to 'jazz' it up a little from his original version and that's the version we here on classic country radio....the one he re-did after Elvis sung it. Elvis was a natural talent! He made EVERY song so cool to listen to and its as if the songs are still new to this day.

  • @samphillipsstampusa Actually, it was said the Bill Monroe LIKEd Elvis's version better than his own.

  • for all his pain, he sure liked being on stage... thank god he was here during my lifetime. he seemed so gentle, a sensitive soul. a showman, cuz that was the 70's way to be on stage.

he lived his life as it came. what else was he suppose to do? GOD gave him to us...

i wisht intervention was available. but hey, it is now, and we just lost Michael Jackson, Anna Nicole Smith....

artists are just made differnt. sensitive and giving

  • The Best!!!! The only King forever !!!!!!!

  • @CSTANCHIK You got that right:)))

  • @CSTANCHIK im with ya they are just jealous because he has great hair, hes good lookin, and i bet the people that hate him are ugly probably i dont have a reason to hate elvis

  • @CSTANCHIK you got that right

  • I love who ELvis changes Engelbert's song to a Blusey, raunchy version that Elvis could do,

  • @andyjohnD Elvis could take any song and make it his own with that great voice

  • i ll never forget you ...elvis

  • Thanks for sharing this vedio to all his fans. He is so beautiful.

  • When Elvis was on the stage he sang to each person in an individual way it was like you were the only person in the arena he was amazing , I would love to see him live again.

  • GOT TO SAY IM SOO JEALOUS LOL

  • you make me feel very envious,if there was just 1 entertainer that i could have seen, then it would have been elvis.

  • me, too. i am 29 years old and none of the celebritys today are interessting to me. MJ even wasnt!!!

Elvis charisma is unbelievable... even on tape

  • Awesome.. i was at this concert. Thanks so much for sharing this

  • was it a good show

  • yes it was, just wasn't as close to stage as I would liked to have been

  • What was it like being at an Elvis concert because i realy wish i could of gone to one but i wasnt born.

  • damn it, me too...

  • how it was? :D

  • Well...what I can remember it was awesome.

  • I am an old timer, and attended many Elvis shows in the 70's, in Vegas and around the country. One thing I remember that sticks in my mind, is whenever Elvis hit the stage, the entire auditorium lit up like daylight from all the flash bulbs from cameras going off. I never saw this at any other entertainers show.... Elvis would stand there and the place would go crazy and light up like daylight.... amazing. A once in a lifetime phenomena.... good memories.

  • what was it like being at this concert how did it feel?

  • You could just feel the love and electricity in the room waiting for Elvis to hit the stage.... when he did, the whole auditorium lit up like daylight from the flashbulbs from camera's going off... He had Charisma with a capital C. Elvis was an entertainer, and put on an excellent show.... good memories. You had to be there.... something you will never forget.

  • Absolutely , like nothing I had ever experienced in my life before...it put you on such a high is was beyond any understanding!!

  • wow!!!!!!! it sounds amazing . thanks!

  • Wunderfull and charming

  • wondefulr!!

  • At last the best version of release me, with the footage of Elvis on tour this kind of video is better then photography, I approve pretty lady you deserve a lot of stars.

  • Love this song and i love him thank you

  • Great to see this,thanks ThreeD2007

  • Brilliant!!

    ☆☆☆☆☆

  • My Boy My Boy, I just adore this man....

  • you were at this ????holy cow.that must have been unreal.wish i saw him. what "memories" you must have. i love how he does the ending completely different then humperdink.

  • I was at this show, He sang Hurt, 2 times, back to back that night.

  • Sorry, but this show and the recording took place April 14th, 1972 at Greensboro Coliseum. Elvis didn´t sing "Hurt" at this time, he started to include it in his program not before March 1976. There are only a very few concerts in '77 were he sang both in one show. So maybe you were at a show in 1977? For example on February 18th in Columbia SC, or February 21st in Charlotte NC and on his last show in Indianapolis. Do you remember him singing "Release me" and "Hurt" together in one show?

  • :-D @mysterytrain78

    That is fucking correct!!!

  • I think it is awesome to see that someone esle was at this concert. Its hard to believe it has been thirty seven years ago.

  • my favorite version thanx.

  • Thank you!

  • I love Elvis so much! I was fortunate to have seen him 3 times as a child. I wish someone had a video of him in Charlotte NC on March 9, 1974 as this was the day I was kissed on the cheek by Elvis!!

  • 31 years already!
