who choosed this piece? i guess the teacher and the parents...this is a horrible showing off piece.
and i feel sorry for a 11 year old child. but yes, people love entertainment. asian education has nothing to do with creativity and living a own life...it's a circus and i could vomit about this ...
competions, competitions, competitions...and maybe it went good.... otherwise suicide is a adorable way out...just for tipping on a piece of wood (piano)
@maugarice I totally agree with you about the asian education. But we can't juge without knowing, asians are capable of being passionate! But I still believe you're wright about her, 11 years old, it's unheard, and coincidentally chinese!
@ayokay123 - WTF???? Will you please stop being so critical of an 11 year old who just played this fast-paced complex PERFECTLY? Her phrasing? Too much pedal?? STFU, you jealous creepy old fart who probably can't read a note of that piece. She was effen ELEVEN, you ungrateful sorry ass. My motto is: Those who have no talent, always criticize those who DO!
@PianoCriticsKiller I start my comment with "absolutely wonderful performance!...", and you go off on a mental case rant? Seriously? Talk about somebody who should STFU, yes, that should be YOU. Either that or start taking some meds. As it so happens, I do play "Flight", so back off. Wait a second, since your acronym is "PianoCriticsKiller", should I take it to mean that you exist solely for the purpose of attacking folks who leave critical comments? If so, that's one truly sad existence.
@Traumgeblubber Why is it sad? Would you rather have her rotting her brain playing video games instead of doing something that she clearly enjoys that is enriching and amazing?
I played on a concert with Poony three or four years ago. Her fingers really move that fast! She played a Mozart piano concerto, at break-neck speed in the fast movements...but with clarity and great musicality. It was a pleasure to play with her. As to her missing out on 'life', look at her face. Her heart is so connected to the music. I played at a young age myself. I stayed after school to practice, voluntarily, because I loved it. I've never regreted all the hours I spent at the piano.
@bigrabbit5354 I agree with you, I'm really ugly. This girl is really a talent, brillante, and I wish I could play like her, for sure, I'm not stupid but...she's so young, and this isn't good. How long do you think she studies at home? A lot of time, yes, because practice is something that you have to do a lot to play like this. And tho play this piece, double the time. She'll never have time to play with dolls, like an eleven-year-old child, anymore. This is my comment. (:
very good. but i need to comment on your technique. u should sit up straiter, and u should also not put your hand down on your lap when your not using it. but TERRIFIC PERFORMANCE!
this is amazing!!!!!!!!!! i love your moving while playing, and this sounded so perfectly and professional like a concert pianist. you are extremly musically and have a great technique.

Absolutely wonderful performance! ....although she should watch Kissin's performance for some hints on her phrasing. Too much pedal in the bass dept.

Everyone thinks that her parents forced her to this and thats sooo wrong. Read that on her website!
I think that even through she spends so many hours behind her piano everyday, she IS a happy girl.
She loves music and I really don't agree with all the people saying her childhood is gone. Not all people likes to play with dolls you know!

Kind of sad. So much time, spend in her childhood with nothing but music.
