I was in this exact same condition in June of this year (2011) from a spinal cord compression. I vividly remember the first day I got up on the parallel bars, and this is exactly what I looked like. I needed two people to physically place my steps for me. I am now walking with a cane (although still SLOWLY) and still improving. If you are a SCI victim watching this, DONT GIVE UP. It doesn't seem possible at first, but you will get better if you keep working on it, and make good use of time.
