If i was a cop. i'd shoot the guy in the front in the foot, he'd fall, i'd pile up the suspects. handcuff them both, sit on them, then wait for backup...
i imagine it would be hard to aim at the suspect's foot while running at the same time and end up killing him instead, good cops think carefully before they shoot and dont unless they absolutely have no choice, plus the suspects werent armed anyway.
The officer should have secured the building before hugging the victim in the event multiple offenders were still in the building . A back up unit shoukd have also be disptached

Well it's kind of a trade-off. In a rural area there's a lot less of a chance that someone is going to break into your house in the first place, but if they do it's going to take longer for help to get there. I am currently living in the city after having lived on the outskirts of a small town, and I hear about way more break-ins on the news here in the city.

it happened to me wen i was 12 and i am 14 now. but it was pretty scary i was home alone and 2 guys broke into my house i climbed out my window and went on my roof,and called 911 on my cordless phone.luckily they didnt see me.
A lot of cops have tasers these days, but that's new in a lot of areas. I remember seeing a report on my local news just a couple of years ago about how cops in my area are starting to use them. The report said the cops have to be shot with the taser before they can use it, so they know how it feels.
As long as tazers do not hurt, but stun a suspect--cops should be able to use them. I live alone, and any time I have to head out by myself at night- I often wish I had a way to defend myself. Tazers or mace, or stun-guns might help in protecting oneself.

We havea farm that is 7 miles outside the nearest city. I was always afraid growing up that someone was going to break in and that it would take forever for someone to come (especially because our then neighbor was harrassing us over property the former owners let him use but we didn't because we knew what he was using it for) we installed a gate and a buzzer that lets you know when someone is coming down the driveway (its a mile long)

In a rural area there's a lot less of a chance that someone is going to break into your house in the first place, but if they do it's going to take longer for help to get there. I am currently living in the city after having lived on the outskirts of a small town, and I hear about way more break-ins on the news here in the city.

how old are you? because i would guess you were old enough to know that police only have the right to fire when people are in great danger or when it is the last resort and the only necessary thing to do

it happened to me wen i was 12 and i am 14 now. but it was pretty scary i was home alone and 2 guys broke into my house i climbed out my window and went on my roof,and called 911 on my cordless phone.luckily they didnt see me.

He nailed the first guy buy pushing him down!! He should have shot the other one in the blue shirt as he was running to keep him from escaping!!
Cops should carry tazers or stun guns, to keep suspects from getting away! Not to hurt them, but to stop them in their tracks!!!
If that cop had a stun gun, he could have shot those 2 guys, and they would have collapsed so he could cuff them!!

A lot of cops have tasers these days, but that's new in a lot of areas. I remember seeing a report on my local news just a couple of years ago about how cops in my area are starting to use them. The report said the cops have to be shot with the taser before they can use it, so they know how it feels.

As long as tazers do not hurt, but stun a suspect--cops should be able to use them. I live alone, and any time I have to head out by myself at night- I often wish I had a way to defend myself. Tazers or mace, or stun-guns might help in protecting oneself.

We havea farm that is 7 miles outside the nearest city. I was always afraid growing up that someone was going to break in and that it would take forever for someone to come (especially because our then neighbor was harrassing us over property the former owners let him use but we didn't because we knew what he was using it for) we installed a gate and a buzzer that lets you know when someone is coming down the driveway (its a mile long)
