what an awesome job you've done on this! spot on! funny, REAL, respectful, loving, clever. I'll be sharing this one with friends all over! Well don and thank you for the laughter!
I like to listen to this song when I'm having "one of those days" with my children. It helps to put things in perspective. The song just makes me laugh and smile. Thanks!!!
Ohh ,, brilliant :) I liked the song, I wish I'd be a good father like you are..nice work, you probably used every word in the English language hahaha 5 stars for the caring father.
Congratulations! You successfully captured the balance between the frustrations and joys of being a dad. Your video is loving and touching and funny too. I'm sharing it with my friends and I'll return often so I can be reminded that I'm not alone in facing my fatherhood challenges along with the rewards for being the best dad I can be for my kids.
Thank you. My children & I lost my husband 10 months ago. This makes me cry every time. I love the way you are with your daughter at the end. I love watching the love you have for your children. Thank you.
As I've read the other comments I see that nearly everybody else feels the same as I do upon seeing your video - You are amazing! You sum it up perfectly what it's like to be a dad through your lyrics, your voice, and your music. Well done! We need more people like you in this world! Thank you for sharing.
I watch this video once a month or so. I love it. It rings true. Your daughter entering into the video and resting her head on your shoulder near the end adds to the tender ending of the song. I love it. You are very talented. My best to you and your family.
I typed it for my husband also becuase he is deaf and couldn't hear the words. We have six children and I didn't want him to miss this. I couldn't fit it here because it is more than 500 words but I sent you a message through youtube, hopefully it worked. The lyrics may not be exact but they are pretty close.
I am a mommy of 4 little girls and one precious baby boy. This was AWESOME! Thanks for the smiles and the tears at the corner of my eyes. You can imagine we have been there and still are! This was great keep it up! :)
I am a 64 year old father of five, and grandfather of six (and number 7 may be here tonight!) and this brings a smile, and a tear to my eye. It is so real, and touching, and very special. I ditto the comments of those who hope to see you have a wider audience for this wonderful performance, such as on Jay Leno. Best of luck for the future. Keep singing and writing.
Fantastic - as a dad of 2 (soon to be 3) this had me smiling from ear to ear (even with the "crying & whining" from my ankle biters in the background) - Totally awesome job!!
As a person who loves Canon in D and was known as "daddy little girl", listening to you sing with the song, I have to declare: Love from daddy singing Pachelbel song to his daughter is the BEST VERSION EVER!!!
We love this so much it's in my favortites! I have never posted a comment before but am compelled to share with you my 9 year old daughter's comment today. She thought you were Danny Kaye! I explained to her that you are not Danny Kaye but I hope that you take that as a compliment. At our house that is probably one of the highest compliments you could get. They love him in "The Court Jester" and "Hans Christian Anderson".
I love your stuff and look forward to more fun songs. You're creative and insightful. It's great therapy to laugh at the toils and triumphs of parenting. We are first time parents of a toddler and need all the laughs we can get.
Thanks for the song from parents of three kids under 7. My wife and I had a great laugh listening to it. As Homer would say, it's funny because it's true.
he's playing in key... trust me, I've been playing violin for 8 years (I'm only 13) and have perfected this song on it and it seems like most of it is in tune... maybe there was rough spots but it seemed pretty good most of the way
I have 3 girls all under the age of 7 and this song pretty much captures what life is like every day. Loved it. The girls watch it over and over again.
you see. no one would have ever thought about writing something like this. its creative, catchy, moving, true, and funny.
i do not have a child yet but this song really gives me a good picture about what is going to happen. the imagery that you use is like i am reading a book. and when you get to the cat part and the baby starts to cry i could really see a little kid screaming. and my eyes. popped like i just saw the boogie man. your the kinda person that we need more of on youtube.
I laughed until I cried. My 3 year old stayed up until AT LEAST 10:30 last night when I finally let her in my bed. So many of your words hit home, even "Shrek" as we watched his holiday special last night. You give me hope! There is a positive side, right???
FANTASTIC!!!! STUPENDOUS!! BRAVO!! My new favorite song! Please let us know how we can get this song for itunes, would love to play it daily, it's a great pick me up and song to get my kids to go to bed! I know many people would want to buy your music as well. Great job! THANKS for singing about what parents go through and feel.
I watched this at work after a sleepless night with two kids up at varying schedules, unending returns to their beds, etc. I laughed so hard I was crying. My office colleagues thought I lost my marbles. Great stuff - thank you.
as a parent of five children I'm very familiar with his story -- excellent story-teller and singer. I hope he gets more general exposure - he's really good.

I have to give this a 10. While trying to watch it my 3 month old son started crying, & my 2 1/2 yr old son came out of his room & wanted a drink, more kisses, and wanted me to read him another book, lol. The joys of children :-)

Wow! That was really good and expressed what I hear in my groups all the time. I'm a parent educator in an Early Childhood program in Minnesota! You just were so creative! I salute you! Hang in there, Dads and Moms everywhere!!!
With the moaning, and the crying And the screaming, and the weeping When did you have time to write The song that you were singing? Though, I thank you for the time It took to write this lyric All my days do go much better With a song upon my spirit And the comfort in the knowing There are other dads just like me Blessed with God's own chosen gifts Yet wanting less excitement From the dad of 2 poor children Whose ears are often aching From their father's sad attempts At guitar music making.
YOU SO TOTALLY ROCK! I am a mommy of a 3 year old little boy...I SO get it! I love your songs! I hope to see more from you! Thanks so much for the smiles!
