  • You have a really annoying voice. Nails on a blackboard is music by comparison.

  • Where is the evidence that much of the animosity toward Obama is because he's black? Anyone who spends any time on the internet has seen hundreds of examples. Just Google "obama nigger" and see how much wretched, racist slime comes up -- I just did it and got 3,440,000 results.

That is not to say that all criticism of Obama is racially motivated. It most certainly is not, but way, way too much of it is.

  • I wouldn't necessarily call myself a Liberal, but I am extremely Progressive and I agree with most of what Ron Paul says. I think the supporters of Ron Paul and the real Progressives should try to unite and not go after each other so much.

  • Carter has criticized Obama.. in case anyone was wondering. The racism thing has to do with the same part of the GOP that goes for putting neocons in office. This part of the Republican party is comprised of the same people that never forgave the Left for Civil Rights and bailed on the Democrats in the 70's and 80's...incidently they are the Muslim haters as well.

  • Jack got it half-right here. To call Carter anti-Semitic is absurd; he's nothing of the sort. However, Carter was probably right when he said that much of animosity toward Obama is because Obama is black. Although few ever say it, many white people feel in their guts that a Black cannot really represent the interests of White America. They vaguely--but correctly--sense that their interests as whites are different than those of blacks, who have different priorites if not different loyalites.

  • Jimmy -you are a brave man.

  • Carter should have stayed relegion preacher, NEVER for presidency or any kind of political counselor.

  • The main difference between a good president and a lousy one is his sincerity to actually work for all American People. Anyone who will chronically deny that DEMOCRATS are more sincere and more genuine is just not being honest.

The current Republican top politicians don't even have the intelligence and knowledge required to lead; add their total lack of genuine concern for the American People, and you have a prescription for disaster.

Angle, O'Donnell, Brewer as leader? Are you KIDDING?

  • Well done, sir, well done!

  • People only criticize Obama because they're racist.

"9/11 is real simple lemme break it down fer ya - the terrorists attacked us b/c they hated our freedom."

    Don't be a freedom-hater. Don't be a racist. Instead conform and be a Liberal.

  • @willyrobinson Liberal=Progressive=Anti-American=Marxist no thanks i'll remain a Libertatian

  • Your video is right on the money. But Carter, being the demented liberal that he is, fits right in with the rest of his peers. Hypocrisy is their calling card.

  • Having listened to a lot of liberal/democratic/progressive radio and opinion, I have found there are very, very few liberals/dems/progressives who automatically call Obama's political opponents bigots. When a republican calmly asks will taxes be raised or will the deficit be raised, they aren't accused of racism (by and large).

It's only when a republican is yelling and using terms like "death panel" or bring up this fabricated "birth certificate" nonsense that they are called racist.

  • There is a lot of ground between timidly asking a question and hurling epithets, most of which garners the racism accusation or something else equally as absurd in response, at least in my experience.

  • Keep on believing there are truly two parties and your a fool.... they are all bought and paid for by the same people. No matter which side of the isle they sit. For the last 20yrs or more both parties have been moving this nation closer and closer to some BS european union crap. The rich dont want any competition from those who arent already priviledged...

  • Bush was one of the worst but at least he appointed good supreme court justices. Imagine what Carter would have appointed?

  • what's silly is the fact that conservatives have fought and beaten the idea of socialized healthcare for years, no matter what color of the current president. nobody was crying "racist" when clinton's healthcare plan was shot down. and we fight harder today than then because obama is lucky enough to have a democratic congress on his side, something that is sure to change in 2010 considering the awoken conservative movement. the country just doesn't want socialism.

  • Wow this video really hit the nail on the head.

Of course, some of Obama's criticism may indeed stem from the fact that he's black.

After all, he only got nominated because he's black, and all we've had shoved in our faces for the past months is that we have our "first black president."

So the irony is that his supporters set him up to be criticized on the basis of race, and now they're crying foul if any of his growing number of critics dare to mention his race (which most of them don't)

  • Even Obama is trying to play down the race card now.

  • Barak Obama: One tall fucking race card.

  • And he ain't all that tall.

  • My grandpa had the privilege of working for Jimmy Farter. According to him, the guy was an animal.

  • Well look at his brother, That's jimmie just not in the nice feel good package. BILLY BEER!!

  • Guys it's OK, he's going senile. This is what we have to look forward to in our old age. :O

  • Isn't Carter now 'anti-white' for this statement?

Sort of saying, doing 'what they do'. Which it is.

He is privy to inside politics much more than I. I have no way of knowing what he was thinking.

Does being 'anti-white' ingratiate you into the ALL JEWISH RUN government? Absolutely. Maybe he wants to be less marginalized, which he is.

  • Carter is crazy and must live in a box. Racism is most prominent where there are low minority populations. Last i checked down here there's a very high minority percentage. Most people interact with them on a daily basis. People fear change and what they don't know. This is how Racism is fueled.

  • Can always tell how bad a Democrat President's policy sucks by the amount of distraction they poor into the media .... Obama must really SUCK

  • Jimmy Carter should be taken to Zimbabwe. Taken to that land and forced to look into the faces of starving child, forced to look into the eyes of white farmers whose land was stolen, hold an infant in his arms and feel its heart stop beating as it dies of Cholera and know that it is his doing, for it was Carter that pressured the Thatcher Government in the UK not to recognize the democratically elected PM Muzorewa in favor of Communist Bob Mugabe who brought despair upon that land.

  • I think if people would stop trying to push their own agenda in both parties and start to work together again like how America was formed, then all of our problems would be solved. It would not matter weather the president was black or white or in between. I think we should be allowed criticisms in order to make us a stronger nation. This is not a biased statement but the truth.

  • i mean whether

  • I am a Democrat. I voted for Carter and Gore. I have an ex girlfriend that was co chair of the state Green party.

When illegal immigration opened my eyes and I began to speak in favor of less immigration and zero illegal immigration the word racist was used against me for the first time in my life.

    I understand now.

Sure, some against Obamas policies are racist, but some in favor of his policies are racist too.

Carter did good, he is making the word as silly as those that misuse it .

  • You're going after the wrong guy. I liked Southern Avenger till this. If anything, Carter is dogmatically consistent (in the Kantian sense), as he goes after all forms of tribalism, whether it is that of the Israel lobby, white separatists, or black separatists.

  • I think you might be taking Carter's words out of context. There are many legitimate grievances to be made against Barack Obama, but the intense animosity against him really doesn't make sense. Obama is without a doubt better than any of the Bushes or the Clintons that we've had over the last 20 years, so when I see a level of greater hostility directed at Obama, it does make me think that there is a racial motivation behind it.

  • wrong. the intense animosity against him does make sense. Barry Sotero is without a doubt worse than any of the Bushes or the Clintons that we've had over the last 20 years. rather, Carter is obviously a racist against whites. that is, he is a self-hating white man, because his comment that this is about race makes no sense.

  • That's because you can't seem to understand why anyone would be very irritated with the idea of the government getting any larger than it already is. It matters not his race; if he is going to swear an oath to the US Constitution and then go ahead, like most other presidents, and ignore it, he deserves criticism.

  • obmax1212, did you read my entire comment? I made it fully clear that he deserves criticism. I certainly understand why someone would be irritated with government getting larger than it already is, as I am irritated with that fact as well. No where in my comment did I make any sort of defense for Barack Obama's policies.

yakir27127 you are simply and idiot. You just copied and pasted what I said and changed it to say the exact opposite. lol

  • another Great vid, Jack

  • There is a lot of racism and bigotry in the tea-parties, though. The birther movement is most definitely encoded in racism and or vile nativism.

  • although the tea parties and birthers do have a definite racist tone to it, I'm not sure how much!!! the crowds seems to be mixed with nutty racists, anti-government folks, limited gov. supporters and people who generally dislike/hate Obama.

side note: kind of thought is funny that such strong nativism would come from non-natives...

  • You could find just as many whack jobs in anti-Bush crowds. The fact that there may be some racists or weirdos does nothing to diminish the message, and that is what people need to focus on. The media, not surprisingly, is of course twisting the situation because they love Obama.

  • While the overall message of the tea-parties is legitimate, there is a big portion of the people there who don't have a legitimate message. Seriously, I'd say at least 1/3 of the people there are either nut-jobs or racists who have no idea what the fuck they are blabbering about. And more than half of them I am sure are Republican or Republican supporters and that discredits them as well.

Until I see something truly rational come out of the "tea-parties", I will see it just as a joke.

  • Ok allot of the signs say stop spending right. Well look up Comptroler general (or our countries accountant) here on you tube and see why he is saying the same thing. Nothing should discredit a voter unless he will not listien to reason.

  • A sign that says "stop spending" is also absurd, especially since most of the people in the tea-parties are supporters of aggressive war and huge military.

  • No it's only 'some'...certainly not 'most'... (although the media likes to portray it that way since Glenn Beck's morons co-opted the movement.) The tea parties initially began as a protest: against the war, against the Federal Reserve, for 9/11 Truth, Unfair taxation - and Redress of Grievances not being granted (under the bill of rights, if your petitions are not acknowledged, you have the right to withhold all taxes until they are acknowledged...) Now it's a divisive propaganda clusterfuck.

  • and your facts come from?

  • Israel will destroy the World

  • SA,

Keep speaking your individual voice and calling out those who love to give collect labels for groups of people

Those intent on pushing a greater collective will for society through governmental force LOVE to give labels as it helps them to fit their altruism they push for.

Keep calling them out and pointing this out.

"There are no irreconcilable conflicts between selfishness and altruism, between economics and ethics, between the concerns of the individual and those of society."

    ~Mises

  • I'm finding it easy to agree.

    Excellent.

  • Sitting in an American Government class in college I can't help but laugh when my professor says that the 2 worst presidents in American history, Lincoln and FDR, are actually the 2 greatest presidents because they were "tyrants but they gave their power back". Then he went on to the whole economic/Great Depression situation and I was seeing red. I couldn't help noticing how reassuring it sounded to have the govt. take care of things. Thanks to people like SA I don't have to buy the brainwashing

  • Excellent as usual SA.

  • This is all based on partisan fascism.

If you don't agree with the party in power, you must be racist or unpatriotic. It's the same move that was pulled by pundits during the last administration.

I'm pretty sick of this. WE need to take our country back from the far left and far right fringes of this country.

  • I couldn't agree more, Libertarians and middle ground Repubs and Dems need to stop the party hate started by the fringes of all parties. It will destroy our country if we don't halt it. It is sad that we have to split up the fringers like children at a playground.

  • @jsh78: A right winger agrees with me?! LOL.

No offense, it just doesn't happen too often. You're absolutely correct. The name calling is childish. First Bush was Hitler, now Obama is Hitler? When did Bush or Obama decide to kill off 6 million+ people for having "inferior genes"? It's getting ridiculous and the heat coming from both sides is starting to become uncivil and quite frightening.

I'm glad I stopped watching BSNBC and subscribed to SA. Finally found some REAL conservatives.

  • I'm actually down as an Independent tho I admitt my right wing leanings (more of an older Constitutional right not modern neocon). I Despise the current Progressive? liberal tilt and Neocon right tilt. The answer lies in between with us (the majority of americans or middlegrounders) Both far sides think they are right and everyone else is wrong. It's sad really. When has working together to make things better for the whole ever been a bad thing.

  • "When has working together to make things better for the whole ever been a bad thing"

Jesus Hosanna Christ, I've been asking that SAME question for 5 years now! You're right to question the "progressiveness" of the new liberals. Doesn't seem very progressive at all. And NeoCONS are just that. Cons.

Americans have been string puppets for these jackasses on the hill for a while now. Might be time for a new American Revolution.

  • Already happening. More people are informed and demanding more of the gov. The smarter the people the harder it is to pull the wool over their eyes. We also need to vote those out of office that need it. I Believe we can fix the mess without violence and would only push back under extreme conditions.

  • No, the 'birther' movement is not silly, silly.

  • Great video and much needed I'm just glad it was you with a smart, to the point video and not some idiot. Great job again Jack keep up the good work.

  • Jimmp "The Dipshit" Carter is living proof that "you can't fix stupid". To the contrary he actually has gotten dumber with age, it is hard to imagine he could have gotten dumber than he was in 1976-80 but clearly he has. Pathetic little joke of a man.

  • I wonder why the main steam media does not report on these horrific crimes ?? and why they try really hard to find the 4% of white criminals to report on and past there picture on the TV . all the while avoiding the most horrific and heinous crimes committed by the ethnic minorities ?? If we want to talk about race lets talk ! and not just take a rev. Wright point of view on it !!!!

  • Another weaselly offering from the SA (I wonder if he wears Confederate tights and cape?). Taking issue with Carter's claim that the shrillest condemnation of Obama has a racial component, SA apparently asserts that if that is so then Carter is an anti-Semite. Nice logic, retread. You can't PROVE there's racism or not, so it remains a matter of opinion. But I guess Carter is not entitled to his like Joe Wilson is.

  • I am a leftist, and I support the State of Israel. Jimmy Carter is not an Anti-Semite just because he criticize certain policies of Israel. As for Barack Obama's critics, having conservatives criticizing his policies is not racist either. So I agree with the Southern Avenger that Jimmy Carter and other liberals are as out of line to call mainstream conservative criticism of Obama racist. Are there some racists from the right amongst those critics? Sure. But they are a noisy minority.

  • People who call other people racist or anti-Jew do not want to talk about the issues, they just want to call people names.

  • Couldn't have said it better myself, ucjb2. Those who do what you describe are simply afraid to talk about real issues, nothing more. Sometimes there are legitmate racial issues to be discussed, but not usually in mainstream discourse. It's time to end the excessive proliferation of identity politics and actually start treating everyone as equal before the law and our government despite many differences (and similarities).

  • Excellent video!

  • Poor Jimmy. He has never been the same since the October surprise.

  • I don't think Carter is an anti-semite..not at all. He seems like a nice enough guy. He is just an idiot. He was useless as president, and he serves even less purpose now.

  • At least Carter knows how to swing a hammer, unlike J.W.Bush. But does that make him one of us? All we want is freedom. All the leaders want is for their group of looters to be in power.

  • Well put.

  • There is a racist aspect to the bullshit obama has to put with. I've never heard bush's religion, citizenship, or patriotism questioned. All you have to do is READ THE SIGNS AT THE TEA party protests to know that race is a factor with some of these people. And no its not isolated to a few nuts either. Republicans whined and cried that we everyone should support the president during war time. So much for that. A lot of these protestors don't even know what communism is. Go to china.

  • nowaveshow - so you have never heard anyone on the Left describe George Bush as a southern white conservative religious fanatic, who represents "everything wrong" with "50% of America?"

I live in a Blue State, I hear such statements on a daily basis, and I fail to see how that is substatially any different from racism.

  • Bush was anything but conservative. Expanding Government (the executive branch especially) immensely isn't conservative in the least. We haven't had a true conservative in office in a long time. First bush wasn't conservative either. The parties no longer represent viewpoints but havens for all different types of people.

  • According to a Bush staffer, Bush even admitted that he redefined the Republican party & that there was no conservative movement during his time in office. I'm skeptical of trusting this person, but if this is true those who say Bush is a conservative can shut their mouths since he allegedly admitted he's not one himself. Also, people should stop using the terms left, right, conservative, & liberal because they have become so overused & diluted it's sometimes hard to discern meaning from them.

  • >Bush was anything but conservative

Bullshit. He was supported by all self-described "conservatives" cut taxes for the upper class, "strong on defense" invaded Iraq - nearly ALL "conservatives" supported - stopped partial birth abortions.

Now that Bush turned out to be a liar and a failure all the "conservatives" are pretending he wasn't "conservative" enough.

Bullshit. Ever hear of the "No True Scotsman" fallacy? You people sound like Communists "true communism was never tried!"

  • Conservatives and Neocons are entirely different species. Bush and his ilk are neocons (actually Extremely liberal with regard to spending, preemptive war and corporate welfare...) None of those policies you mentioned are conservative. A conservative would not have gone to war w/Iraq, would not give billions annually to Israel, or ok spying on Americans... the list goes on. The term was hijacked. I'm an anarchist, btw, and think the whole circus is bullshit. At least get the terminology right.

  • Minarchism can work the problem is keeping everybody educated and understanding of what the state is and what powers it should have. Ideally I think Anarchism would work the best but it would appear at this point that it will take a very long time before people are ready. We've been chained for so long that living without them has become impossible for most people to comprehend.

  • How is invading other countries and putting legislation through like the patriot act that expands government power to new bounds conservative? You understand what the word means right? Ron Paul is Conservative. Bush is a Liberal rallying under that flag.

  • Neocon, Bush is a neo con or new conservative. Spending and warrinf when he promised not to do either.

  • And that still doesn't make him a conservative no matter if he calls himself that or not. The definition clearly states what a conservative is. Bush was a Big Government liberal just like Obama.

  • oh yeah that's what I'm saying. Bush is as conservative as Obama which is not at all.

  • I don't know what you are talking abiout because I heard Bush refered to as a white christian all the time (and it was not being used in a positive way). I would argue that probably less than 5% of those people protesting are racists (thought even that is too much). That being said, a far great % of these people are indeed morons and have no idea what they are talking about.

  • Well I guess I'm a racist, gun loving, tea party going, non-birther, Mexican, freedom loving Patriot?

  • Why is a Mexican worried about American taxes?

  • Well, the higher the taxes equals you paying for Subsidized Corn that, thanks to NAFTA, floods Mexico which in turn disenfranchises Mexican farmers. Those poor farmers then flood to America, they are then lured by Socialism and that destroys their Conservative values. Many become Marxists and join La Raza.

I could go on and on.

    Viva la Revolucion de 1776.

  • ""...Many become Marxists and join La Raza..."

    If we're lucky.

Don't forget the ultra violent, uber tribal, super racist latino street gangs. In Cali the members of the latino gangs out number the whites blacks and Asians gangs combined!

    You win.

  • I don't know if "I" win. But OK.

  • We need more white gangs.

  • and white rappers

  • Agree w/ SA again! Obama himself said that he didn't believe Wilson's outburst was any way race related.

Don't forget t it works both ways.

Limbaugh ( talking about the white kid getting beat up black kids- which was fucked) somehow had manifested due to Obama's Presidency saying "in Obama's America the white kids now get beat up with the black kids cheering."

Are we to believe that a white college guy killed and stuffed an asian girl into a wall is because white Limbaugh is on the air?

  • I hate to have to point this out but by using the race card and not talking issues the Democratic political hacks are going to make it very difficult for another minority or a woman to become President.

Why? Because independents are being taught that if they disagree with a minority President's agenda they will be dismissed as nothing more than racists. And their political concerns will be ignored.

  • Comment removed

  • that pathetic old man is smoking too much crack

  • Now Bill Cosby has been put out there by the Democrats..thinking, well he is their generation.. it is a game they are playing to shut the protesters down. It is a lie.

  • But the strategy could work. Imagine being a protester, chanting your talking point catchphrase when suddenly, BAM, Jello pudding all up in your face. The cake may be a lie, but pudding is forever.

  • you may as well just hang this argument up. anyone that automatically jumps straight to racism, won't listen to reason anyway. the sad part of it is, it really discredits any real racial issues that we have currently or in the future.

  • Well, Carter is actually somewhat right. Barack Obama being black is a very significant cause for a lot of the anger directed toward him. and that ESPECIALLY true for the bithers.

  • No it's not. Most people could care less of his color. It's his policies.

  • Yes, but the racists in the bunch aren't exactly a small minority. According to Jabba the Rush, there's no such thing as a white racist anymore. I beg to differ. Now I don't believe that the majority of tea party protesters are racist, but I think at least 30 percent are, and that's too much.

  • I totally agree with you on that....I'm a libertarian (also black) and I don't support Obama but I also realize that many of his critics are critical of him because of his race. Someone like Ron Paul is strictly critical of his policies since he was bashing Bush for the same thing....that's why I love Ron Paul.

However, Joe Wilson's "You Lie" was purely racist since the man also vote for illegal immigrant healthcare in 2003....google "joe wilson voted illegal immigrants" and see tons of hits.

  • I agree with you that criticism of Obama is more partisan than anything else. But what is wrong with our country is political correctness of BOTH the far left and the far right. It is too easy at times to label someone a racist, and some on the left like resorting to that very easily. On the social conservative right, if intolerance against gays or other movements that limits freedom are challenged by the left or by the libertarian faction of the right, they are labeled ANTI-Christian.

  • Wow you have me in awe. now only if both sides could act as well informed and unbiased as you we could fix this country. I know alot of libertarians in my area and none are as Far right as you state. I'm not saying they do not exist. I'm just saying there are more layers to the party then you might think. Great post tho!

  • I never said I had a problem with the libertarians. In fact, I generally respect libertarians. The people on the right I was criticizing were the social conservatives of the Republican Party and the Christian Right faction in particular.

  • Oh I'm not being a dick at least I hope I did not come across like that. Your one of the most level headed Liberals I have met on line. I hope I did not offend you.

  • I was not taking any offense to what you said at all; I was just clarifying somethings I was saying. For me, I decided not to ever engage in raw partisan hackery anymore, because no side is without flaw, while there are sincere people on both sides that means well. That's what I meant, so don't sweat it...

  • Your a good guy and I wish more people took your lead. You are of course both sides have their goods and bad it is just to bad not allot of people realizer this. Have a great one.

  • The feeling is mutual. You are too my right obviously on a few issues here and there, and that's what makes America wonderful. Many years ago, I used to have a political chip on my shoulder and chastised anyone different from me. Those days are gone, and I really try to balance what everyone says. For example, I tend to oppose gun control and actually got sold on the idea of the Fair Tax. Other than that, I am left-wing across the board. I believe we are both free thinkers which is good.

  • Ok so we need more of us. LOL I'm funny that way coming from a Repub father and a hippy liberal mother. I'm more middle ground then anything. I like allot of What Ron Paul says and a few others. I oppose gun control as well and have been looking into the "Fair Tax".

  • Gotta agree with you there PsychoPunk. I oppose most measures of gun control and I think Fair Tax is the best tax reform I've ever seen. VAT Tax also.

I don't think it's really a left-right thing though. It just makes sense.

  • That doesn't make him a racist. It makes him a hypocrite and him being a hypocrite should be a surprise to nobody.

  • The Zionist ASH-KHAZARI Israelis are the worst Anti semitic people on Earth

  • Wilson was shock at the allegation made about Thurmond. A lot of people were. It seemed very unlikely that he had a mixed child.

  • So you think that all those people out there in DC last weekend would enthusiastically go for nationalized health care, cap and trade, and permanent deficit spending if the president was white? Really??

  • Actually they would have stayed home if it had been a BLACK republican enacting the socialism. The fact that he was liberal and BLACK just pushed it over the hump.

then again Carter wasnt refering to all the protesters out there. Cos I have been to afew tea parties myself and I know am not racist.

  • Possibly... there is indeed - a huge take over attempt by the republican party to recast the tea parties as a republican effort - however, lets not forget that tea parties were first organized by a much more non-partisan Ron Paul. Does that mean tea parties would not happen? They would - although they would be smaller and less often - probably more like "End the Fed" tea parties instead

  • There is a corrsponding DEm effort to recast them as part of the 2 party divide. Ain't so.. both parties are out in space..the country is in trouble..and THAT is the populating factor of the crowds.

  • priceless. I'm almost as sick of Americans being accused of being racist as I am with hearing that everything is Bush's fault.

  • Everything IS Bush's fault. It's what he gets for not letting Duke sell the secret family recipe.

We now return you to your more serious responses. :-)

  • uche007us - the point is that the race card is being used by the establishment to discredit the Right, who are by and large voicing very legitimate grievances at the tea parties.

They are just demonizing the opposition like they always do.

  • The right wing is using the race card just as much as the left. Rush's statment that the white kid on that bus got beat up cause hes white. Or that Obama wants to give blacks free money. Or that the healthcare bill is reperations. So please right wing douche bags are using it to.

  • warcraft1920 - I am not defending idiotic statements by Rush or anybody else.

The fact is the Left is currently in power, and the Right is currently the opposition.

The parallel is when George Bush called people "Un-American" for opposing his wars.

The pattern is always the same - the ESTABLISHMENT demonizing the OPPOSITION to its various totalitarian agendas.

  • Actually opposing big Government is what we do. Bush is unamerican.

  • Let's agree not to use the race card because playing it would divide us further. We must be careful when we use it.

  • Great video. Couldn't have put it better myself.

  • I was very dissapointed in Carter when he said this. Thanks for acknwoledging this SA!

  • I want to know when Jimmy Carter is going to meet his Maker...

The man just does not know when to shut his mouth.

  • I wouldn't call a sign that says Impeach the Kenyan "allegedly racist." There is some real racism out there. But I agree with everything else.

  • He wasn't saying that wasn't racist. In fact, he said it was.

Just that the media focuses on random nut jobs like that to undermine other people who hold far more rational views.

  • How is that sign racist? Isn't it just inferring that he isn't an American? As much of a nut job that person must be to think that, I don't find anything racist about it, just misinformed.

  • Touche. His father was a Kenyan as well, so I suppose it isn't too off base. But referring to him by his father's nationality and his own racial lineage is sort of asking for trouble.

You didn't see people holding up signs in regards to McCain during the election saying "Don't vote for the Irishman". Yes, McCain is Irish (I think), what's the point?

  • very true, for the most part

  • Jimmy Carter is one of four post World War Two American Presidents I don't despise.

This disappoints me coming from a man who doesn't think we should have fought the civil war.
