@Shaymin44 :4 lights is just connection problems, make sure everything is connected correctly and if it is and its still not working then buy a new av cable(different colored wires that hook up to tv) and your xbox should work.

sipply u can do 1 make it over heat unplug it. then it will self reset like my blender VITAMIX. let it cool for 30 min replug all internal hardware. 2 control flow of AIR use stiff laminated thin box material like the stuff sand paper comes in(cut to fit). Finally the best solution rip those FN heat sinks out and replace with WATER COOLING. yes water cooling is the best way to go. 1 it eliminates the use of the fan(junk it)=Quieter. 2 REQUIREs a Creative Mind and descent SKILLS.

Well, I'm not a fanboy (owning a Wii, PS3, PSP Slim, DS Lite, PS2), and I can see how 360 is a good console, but the "no games" thing right now is a load of crap.

About 2 years ago, yeah, it was true, but now it's finally starting to pick up steam with some good titles.

I can promise you that I do want a 360, but only when they fix the hardware issues. I can put PC's together and the like, but I don't particularly enjoy it, and I don't want to have to do this every time it breaks.

I found that on my gpu, the rdram cache surface is LOWER by about .0018" or so. I only have cheapo industrial white thermal goo to work with, and I've reapplied the goo a good few times. Each time It would work for a week or so, then red ring again. Today I just noticed that the goo wasn't "smooshed" on the rdram surface, which made me think to check if there is a space. I fit 3 layers on tin foil cut to fit perfectly with a tiny amount of goo in between each and it's going again.

Also, I don't buy the "heat causes vibrations" bit. Fans, hard drive, dvd rom drive, ect can cause vibrations, as typical with moving parts. Heat can make things expand but I've never heard of it causing vibrations. BTW my box is still working, has only been about a week since I added the foil though.
