You can learn about them by reading books, the internet or by going to school for aviation maintenance. You can buy surplus military jet engines from many sources. You can find many by going to places like Russia or Ukraine where they have many old military equipment for sale. You can even buy military jet aircraft like mig 29s if you have the cash. There are people in those countries that will help you get what you need.
this one seems to be prety expensive...but who knows maybe its an old one from some old russian Helicopter... u can get them pretty cheap than if u have luck like the one has build the 3jet Truck also known as ShockWave...in most cases old jets you can get are weared down like the jets of the M1 Abrams wich came back of the desert (sand and so)
I was a jet engine mechanice for the us air force and I was able top see a lot of these things. This one looks more of the type thats use as a back up for power generation for a cargo plane.
if some do not exccept the principle of jet engine and he says jetengine donot work on the principle of 3rd law of motion. now how i can convense him. i need one engine spacialest to answer him in you tube
This guy might be making a podracer for this summer race. Well i mean you guys are totally cool! There's never enough time for us here to build such a thing
Dude... Don't stand next to a jet engine while you're starting it. If that thing comes apart it will cut you in half! Next time rig up a remote or something.
Why, Oh why don't modern aircraft use wooden pallets instead of brakes, as that one certainly seems to stop your engine going any where even with all that thrust?
No its not, it is a centrifugal compressor engine, probaly single stage, looks like a helicopter engine, axial flow engines have fan blades and vanes this has a compressor like a vacuum cleaner
I´m curious about your relationship with neighbours.

Are you going to put this into the back of your truck? That would be sweet at a drag race, hearing a turbine spool up at the tree!!

OK your right, lets call it a single shaft centrifugal turbojet and its not out of a helicopter its from a Delfin L29 jet trainer.
turbineoil 4 years ago
No its not, it is a centrifugal compressor engine, probaly single stage, looks like a helicopter engine, axial flow engines have fan blades and vanes this has a compressor like a vacuum cleaner
gcoochy 4 years ago
is that an axial flow turbine compressor wheel in there or a radial flow?
jetfueljp4 4 years ago
its a single stage axial flow
