  • I´m curious about your relationship with neighbours.

  • Are you going to put this into the back of your truck? That would be sweet at a drag race, hearing a turbine spool up at the tree!!

  • where did you learn about turbines? how did you do to get it?

  • @turbopiloto

You can learn about them by reading books, the internet or by going to school for aviation maintenance. You can buy surplus military jet engines from many sources. You can find many by going to places like Russia or Ukraine where they have many old military equipment for sale. You can even buy military jet aircraft like mig 29s if you have the cash. There are people in those countries that will help you get what you need.

  • @HDaviator Thank you very much

  • 600 lbs? That's not much more than my OHV, hmmm a few modifications, special engine mounts....

  • I modified my bigbike by changing the engines with that......

  • that's loud

  • Just tell the neighbors it's a leaf blower.

  • Should be wearing double hearing protection. Just my opinion. cool vid!

  • why doesnt the thing fly off the palete?

  • @HEMAS13 Its at idle

  • Small dick complex?

  • so thers wher i left my lighter

  • why didnt you do full after burner?

  • Isn't standing that close to a running jet engine just a *tad* dangerous? o.O

  • @minersmith Not really if you know what your doing.

  • if i had one i would put it on a dune buggy

  • nice engine!..u can put it in ur ass??..

  • hope you got a chain on that thing

  • it be funny if it sucked him in,lol

  • @lindz4nicky no it wouldn't

  • honey i'm home!

hello sweetie, oh what cha got in the in trunk there?

oh nothing, just a jet engine...

  • You need to mount that baby on a boat!!!!

  • awesome. this would make for a really cool shop safety poster.

  • OK... whats the point of having such a thing when you dont strap it to something with wheels?

  • why the hell do you have a jet engine in your backyard

  • this R O C K S!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is Motorlet M701 turbojet, very good engine :)

  • super-fantastic!! glad i found this section of u tubers!! just need an aircraft to go w/ it!!lol!!

    take care & wrench safely!!

  • Is the the thing infront of the hole is the motor?

  • so it wouldn't be a good idea to anchor it down properly? Your gonna be flying a 30 mph skid one day

  • Good for you, congrats! Would I have the same oppurtunity to get a jet engine I start it the same way and enjoy :) Shake hand!!!

  • L-29? thought L-39

  • Thats awesome!!!! Good Job bra!

  • Who doesn't want their very own jet engine?

  • where did u get it???

  • Wow what a nutter.

  • Ear Protection? - Idiot!

  • i'm going to walmart tonight to get one of those bad boys, THEIR HAVING A SALE!!! JK

  • couldbt have had too much power, it was only sittin on a skid!, now thats brave! it shoulda blown away

  • I agree very brave. At least he kept it at idle though.

  • DElfin L29 nice Czech Aircraft ;)

  • nice were did you get it from?? or did you make it ??

  • What a brave man ..without ear protection devices.

  • What a stupid man. Smart enough to get it all to work which is great...but not quite smart enough for the basics..

  • wow this is big

  • im working on a trent 1000 at british aerospace

  • cool but this must have put you as homeowners assocation enemy number one lol haha realy cool tho

  • how much an engine like that costs?

    can

  • this one seems to be prety expensive...but who knows maybe its an old one from some old russian Helicopter... u can get them pretty cheap than if u have luck like the one has build the 3jet Truck also known as ShockWave...in most cases old jets you can get are weared down like the jets of the M1 Abrams wich came back of the desert (sand and so)

  • Is it tied down? I'd be afraid that even idle thrust would push it off the pallet.

  • i say strap it up on a street car have jet boost on that baby yahhh cool

  • Maaaaaaaaate! Where do you guys get these way-cool toys from ???

  • aircraft junkyards are your bestest friend....all kinds of crazy stuff there, i have a radar screen from a tanker jet :D

  • That thing is a monster.. so cool

  • Pucker Factor?

  • Personally, I'd be hangin back for a first run up..

    But thats just me.

  • Its a crate engine! hahaha

  • haha. Does not look like it would be an easy swap in my car though. lol..

  • is that a rell 1

  • hahahahahaa brilliant!! a jet engine on your backyard?? i want one too!!

  • you might wanna give that to me please :D

  • Comment removed

  • yo i want one too T_T

  • where the hell did you get that?... I WANT ONE

  • Then stop watching them.

  • Exactly

  • why not make one and post a video of it here and we'll see how smart you really think you are

  • I was a jet engine mechanice for the us air force and I was able top see a lot of these things. This one looks more of the type thats use as a back up for power generation for a cargo plane.

  • im gonna have to agree with abys on this one i clicked on it thinking it was going to be cool, so yall stop being fucken assholes

  • if some do not exccept the principle of jet engine and he says jetengine donot work on the principle of 3rd law of motion. now how i can convense him. i need one engine spacialest to answer him in you tube

  • stop moaning about my wood pallet, it does the job. anyway

the engine puts out 200lbs of thrust at idle and it weighs

600lbs so it aint going to come of

  • @turbineoil LMAO!!! That come back jus made my day!

  • @turbineoil Now at full throttle......that'll be a different story lol

  • This noise is very but very similarly to that of the Boeing 737-200 jeje... Regards.!

  • like hes lighting a bbq, crazy bastard

  • don't stand infront of the intake

  • COOL! I like this! Engine from L-29?

  • Every man needs a jet engine to play with in his backyard.

  • i totally agree! *high five*

  • RIGHTEOUS!!! :-)

  • @taofledermaus hahaha exactly! But what to do if you don't have a backyard? Does a balcony also count?

  • @taofledermaus And put his wife in front of it

  • This guy might be making a podracer for this summer race. Well i mean you guys are totally cool! There's never enough time for us here to build such a thing

  • No ear protection either....

this guy is going to make the Darwin awards

  • uh....is it resting on wood bails? thats no good man, anchor it down. Jet engines can produce many times more thrust to its weight ratio.

  • Dude... Don't stand next to a jet engine while you're starting it. If that thing comes apart it will cut you in half! Next time rig up a remote or something.

  • You sould think that that thing would come right off that little pallet that he's got it sitting on.

  • "You sould think that that thing would come right off that little pallet that he's got it sitting on."

    engine never went above idle

  • engine didnt even make it TO idle.. it was a hung start... if it had made it to idle, it woulda come off the pallet and walked around the yard.

  • would this engine fit a ladda

  • How can i make a jet - engine !???=o

  • easily, send me a message and ill give you some links

  • Looks like a pod racer engine from star wars

  • where do you think they got the idea for those racers?

  • Yea, try pulling the chalks from an L-29 while the engine is spooling, talk about noisy, and dangerous...

  • im TIRED of seeing home made jet engines I wanna made one NOW!!

  • Wouldn't this engine start moving away since it isn't tied down?

  • Why, Oh why don't modern aircraft use wooden pallets instead of brakes, as that one certainly seems to stop your engine going any where even with all that thrust?

  • 1,700lb. isn't much compared to 50,000+ lb. thrust from modern turbofans.

  • Wow, Czech engine in action!

  • maybe you flattened their house!!!!

  • how do you get on with the neighbours

  • they have all left for some reason, no idea why

  • @turbineoil lol

  • @cazwales He blows their leaves when it comes fall time.

  • lol where did you get the l-29?

  • Ok thanks my friend, I wouldn't stand so close though

  • OK your right, lets call it a single shaft centrifugal turbojet and its not out of a helicopter its from a Delfin L29 jet trainer.

  • No its not, it is a centrifugal compressor engine, probaly single stage, looks like a helicopter engine, axial flow engines have fan blades and vanes this has a compressor like a vacuum cleaner

  • is that an axial flow turbine compressor wheel in there or a radial flow?

  • its a single stage axial flow

  • This is M-701 Motorlet jet engine with radial turbocompressor.

  • a vacuum cleaner not vacuuming!

  • little qeustion about that

where did u get it from cuz it is awesome

  • not sure, I dont know what rateux means

  • impulse or rateux?

  • nice looking jet..'rolling stock'

  • i'd love to tie that up like a rocket pack put it full throttle and just start flyin all over the place lol!!

  • i want one of those id put it on somting and start it up lol

  • Awsome! your neighbors must love you! I am still trying to get my hands on a JetCat :)

  • Impressive!!

  • engine was only run up to idle and produces 200lb of thrust engine weighs 700lb so no need to tie it down

no ear protection needed its not noisy honest.

  • hi,was the jet engine tied down in anyway? and were you using ear protection!!
