Video reminds me of the Designers Republic. The way stuff keeps getting bleached out and the logos flashing up. (i think D.R. did the art work of the jet engine inside the Tri Repetae sleeve)
It's off Draft 7:30 - largely unpopular, understandably, but personally my favourite album of theirs taking all things into consideration (not that it has all of their best work, rather just certain ideas that I enjoy as a collection). I was impressed by the way it sounds so abstract to begin with, then develops into music that's in fact enjoyable and satisfying once you're familiar with its beats. There's something there and cleansing in it's discord. A nice change from all else once a while.
Don't you also love the unorthodox approach to how they program their rhythms. For example, I actually figured out Tapr is programmed to play in 10/8 time. And it's an AMBIENT track (or at least it's supposed to be). Fucking genius!
Draft 7.30 is one of my favorite albums as well. I always recommend that people skip Confield and just buy this album. Draft 7.30 is more looser and much less of a sonic mess than Confield was.
@jdoget07 Maybe give Confield another chance, as with most Autechre albums, it takes a while to really get into. Albums that continually speak to you and reveal things you hadn't noticed before are the best :d
Look pal, let me get one thing straight...I LOVE AUTECHRE!!! Absolutely obsessed with them! That doesn't mean I think they're PERFECT! It really takes a while to get into you say? I'm not an idiot you know. Sheesh why are you so cliche? Confield was a mixed bag for me. It had some brilliant tracks (ie-VI Scose Poise, Uviol) and some awful tracks (Pen Expers drives me nuts) and then it contains the ONLY Ae track I've always hated: Eidetic Casein.

I just voiced my opinion. I'm not trying to write a novel here... Its a fucking youtube comment, not the autechre bible.

Swing and a miss. It's 6IE.CR from Draft 7.30
It does have the end of motion picture soundtrack off Kid A by Radiohead at the end for the last 30 or so seconds though.
