@Nchubbz My old ass has taken a beating of late regarding Korn, and? Tired I remain over-analyzing and rehashing things. Oh and then the POlice. Sting, yes, and?

BY far da best canadian band. the true meaning of intelligence and progresive music. neil peart is sitting on top of his game and lee is one of da best voices in rock and his lyircs r intelligent and meaningful.. to conclude i must say GREAT CANADIAN BAND.
Everyone loves ya Geddy! And just so ya know dinglenutzz, not all 'kids now-a days' listen to shitty music, Fates Warning, Rush, Ozzy, Dream Theater, and Black Sabbath are some of my all time favourites and I'm 14 so don't lump all kids in the same group. Rush fans rock on!!! ^-^
ALADDIN GEE a say this one yah sick your a true star your gonna be rich very soon love the talent thumbs up on this one i had to take some time to leave this comment i see your name in bright lights very soon keep doing it big
Regardless of the pristine musicality, prestigious and thought-provoking lyrics, and god-like musicianship (What did you expect? It's Rush.), this is one of the coolest music videos in the history of music television.
Am i the only one who loves how the videos on rush's albums are like alll the same for the album. like how this one there like in space and junk and in movin pictures there all just recording the song
All you Rush fans dissin The Police need to be spanked. First of all Rush fans we dont knock other bands especially other three piece setups. Secondly Stuart Copeland is an amazing drummer Henry P is awesome on Guitar and Sting is well Sting. Actually he does have some nice bass grooves leaning towards reggae and Carribean timings. There no Rush we know that, but at least there was originality and it was'nt regurgitated shit like what the kids have now-a-days.
@dinglenutzz Rush was and is will always be my favorite band. The Police are my second favorite band. They are awesome MUSICIANS in their own right. Just a different style, but geniuses as well.
@dinglenutzz How could anyone, let alone a Rush fan, dislike The Police? Aside from the "trio" aspect of the makeup of the band, The Police were incredibly progressive when they were active, had narrative lyrics that were thick with imagery and emotion, and were incredible musicians. What Rush fan would look at The Police and then look away? It's a musical anomaly that simply cannot and will never be solved. Come to think of it, wouldn't it be absolutely awesome to see The Police open for Rush?
@dinglenutzz Actually songs like, "Vital Signs", "Losing It", parts of "Spirit of Radio", "The Analog Kid", "Chemistry", "Afterimage", and many other great songs of Rush's '80's era were indeed influenced by The Police and raggae.
Rush influenced the Police somewhat, and Police definitley had an influence on the players of Rush in the 80's. It's documented. The good thing is even big fancy Rush has an open mind and is influenced by namy thing and even up and commers', although now aday's that seem less and less likely. I think the boys in Rush are better actors though lol!
@dinglenutzz I can't imagine RUSH fans dissin' any other artist's. I missed the comment you are replying to. As far as to go, The Police are musical genius in their own right and I agree with you. If you are a RUSH fan then you are a music fan and all music is valid. Besides once your in love with the best band ever to walk the planet out of respect you must love all music. But The Police are great too....
@dinglenutzz According to Wikipedia Henry P played with the Police for 8 months so why mention him and not Andy Summers? It also mentions that Henry P was not a very good guitarist so why all the thumbs up?
@dinglenutzz - The line-up of The Police was Sting, Stewart Copeland, and Andy Summers. There was a different guitarist at the very beginning, but he was replaced. Andy Summers is a legend. I would also suggest that you don't diss contemporary music. Just because you don't have what it takes to find good music, doesn't mean it's not there. It's pretty easy to just sit back and listen to the classic rock station. That's fine, but there's more to life than that, especially for young people.
@dinglenutzz I totally agree with you, the only thing I have against the police is something thats not even their fault. The fact that YYZ lost to Behind My Camel for best Instrumental grammy in 1980, Thats not ven their fault though.
@dinglenutzz Rush even admitted being fans of new wave and The Police in the 80's and claimed that some of the sound off of Permanent Waves was inspired by The Police
@dinglenutzz Ok ok The Police was an 80´s band with some success and... Rush is the best band in history so.... waht´s the point? Any comparison is out of context
@camilintgomery Now while Rush is one of my favorite bands also, don't treat The Police as passe..........
Rush has sold 41 million records worldwide, while The Police as sold 50 million. Pretty good for "an 80's band with some success" , wouldn't you say? This is completely IN context, and besides........don't knock The Police, RUSH won't.
@dinglenutzz 100% Agree! I love Rush, they are my favorite band of all-time but The Police are fucking awesome. Different but totally awesome. One of the other few unique acts out there.
I think music is something you either like or dislike. but I would say RUSH tends to draw a more sophisticated crowd. I do still think the guy who said " I fucking love RUSH" said it all

@khunopie fair enough. but seriously. it is a physical impossibility to hate Rush. even if you think you hate Rush, they will have written a song that you will like.
@angrylemonvideos: Yeah, man. I didn't mean to diss The Police (they were pretty damn good), but the comparison is unwarranted 'cause Rush is in a different league altogether.
@Armando2012102 Yes, but the POlice had their place. I agree Rush has no peer. I loved them, but not in the same manner. Police and Rush in the same breath? You are correct, but then again difficult it is to compare the 1 to anyone else?
