Think youre insane man.. hehe.. a touch and go with the rotor head.. im struggeling with just flying normal and hovering.. pretty new pilot... nice video
I don't see your DX7 settings, I've been learning to fly on this heli and love it! can't wait to master of the skills you are showing here...looking at upgrading stock TX to DX6i which from what I see is pretty much the same as the DX7 minus a few options I likley won't need or use for a long time....can you post your TX settings?
If you can see the description where it says Flying Horizon Hobby's..etc there should be a button that will allow you to drop down to view everything that is in that text box.
Again, i want to thank you for sharing this with rest of us.
Your demo puts to rest what Blade SR can and cannot do...
So many have trashed this Heli...
I just purchased mine today after seeing your video earlier. Would have gotten it sooner, but store was closed.
Can't imagine how long it's going to take me to become proficient enough to fly 50% of what you were doing... But at least i know its something i can grow with and for $200 you can't beat it..
Thanks so very much for sharing this demo. Horizon Hobby should thank you too as your demo justifies getting this heli as beginner & intermediate trainer all for $200...
I just purchased a new trex 450 pro fully assembled from a sponsored RC pilot $400 which is a steal...
However, i'm going to get this and practice with it first in docile mode, then move to my DX7 later. Can you PLEASE share with us your setting in DX7 and any suggestions to make it more docile?
Aside from binding to maybe a DX7 and removing the flybar weights, are there any other changes to this heli? Because this is great performance if it's mostly stock! I don't fly my Raptor 50 Titan nitro heli often since I'm a little scared- it's upgraded, big, and expensive so I'm looking into getting perhaps a small electric heli to progress into mild 3d with, and take the Titan from there! The Blade SR looks about the size of the CP Pro, and that's the heli I started with so this is perfect!
@captinclutch1987 when inverted close to the ground, you pull throttle downward fast and she will respond going up fast, like flying normal (you would push the throttle stick forward) but remember when inverted your controls are inverted too.
love this heli... i just got it and only flew airplanes and cheep helis before...suprised on how easy this blade flys,,,however all i can do is hover and fly normal with it because i dont have the dx7 or experance to fly it upside down yet....
I have a Dx6i and a new blade SR. Can you give us all some instructions as to how you have the transmitter / heli setup. Obviously you are not running the stock transmitter to be performing 3D movements like that. Did you move the weights on the blades of the Heli to move quick like that.
I only started flying heli's about a month ago with the little Blade MSR. I picked up the SR a couple of days ago and it's been a nice transition. I'm glad there's finally an option for beginners that doesn't cost too much. It's nice to know that you can actually take this heli quite far before you need to upgrade. Dollar for dollar value this is hard to beat.

the msr is the only decent heli that eflite makes! the cx2, sr, blade 400 are all useless plastic junk! a honey bee would be a much better heli and is only 100 bucks rtf. it's anoying when pro's demo cheep pieces of junk because people think they will actually be able to do them. bottom line is if you want a 3d heli that wont fall appart like a plastic blade 400 your gonna have to at least get a trex 450! eflite makes toys!
What about the cp, cp pro, cp pro 2, cx3, and mcx all made by blade? I guess you left out a few during your huffing and puffing. And how do you know the Trex 450 won't fall apart like the Blade 400? I bet you don't have one. I bet you're lying if you say you do. I bet you don't know how to fly an RC heli. Be glad they make coaxials for people like you. Hey, look to the right. Look at all the thumbs down you got.

Could you please tell me your settings on the DX7?
Also, does it help the flight by removing the weights on the fly bar?
captinclutch1987 1 year ago
@captinclutch1987 removing the weights will make it less stable is all, and faster on cyclic

Come on dude, the honey bee does not compare to this. I will say that the Blade 400 doesnt impress me at all!! It is way over priced.
The Blade SR with a belt drivin tail and a nice gyro & tx setup will out perform any other heli in its price range.
