Susan Hayward became my favorite movie star after I saw this movie of the same title. She was remarkable lipsync all of the songs in this movie. They don't make movies like this anymore. Jane Froman was such a grand lady and certainly deserved this movie of her life. Great posting.!!!
A baby sitter in the early 60's, I stumbled upon a 78 recording of Jane Froman, and played it over and over again until I knew all her songs. So for most of my life I have enjoyed remembering the songs and snging them. A truly remarkable talent by a beautiful and classy lady.
@CLUBZ316 what I don;t understand is: why the guy who introduced the film with a song in my heart dsaid that Jane froman was paralyzed in a plane accident on her way to a uso show in europe... she only had a badly broken leg....
Freyja, both of Froman's legs were severely injured and she suffered other serious injuries in the crash. She had 39 - that's thirty-nine - operations over the years as a result of her crash injuries. She wore a metal brace on one leg for the rest of her life, but gave 95 performances for WWII servicemen on crutches. She resisted repeated recommendations over the years that it was necessary to amputate her leg. She was a gutsy person who overcame far more than "only a badly broken leg."
@chrysochou thank you for telling me this information... the only thing that I don't understand is why the movie host on amc( american Movie classics )
said that miss froman was paralized because of the air crash...
Thank you sooo much for this "exclusive"-version for me..its amazing...LOVE IT... though i didnt knew the singer and this song... but when i heard first tunes i falled in love with this music!!!*****
Thanks again and again my friends, all the best, Judie :)))
IMO, the most magnificent female vocalist of all time --- intonation, vibrato, sonority, etc.

I agree with the other reviewers here. . . . Jane Froman OWNS this song, now and forever. It gives me chills of delight every single time I hear it.
