  • What a great video series! Good tip about the stain brush. I used a sprayer on my deck and regret it *royally*. Sprayers are good if you have the skills to apply it evenly. I apparently don't have those skills. I'm stripping it and re-staining it.

  • @LuKasAV6 Hello and thanks for commenting! Good luck in the process!

  • Thanks this was really hefpul! You convinced me to use a brush versus roller.

  • @munton5150 Thanks a lot! A brush will give you better control and allows for greater Film thickness.

  • good job there!

  • @futbolero4152 Thanks!

  • Is it possible to add a second coat to a solid deck stain? like you have done here. I was of the impression that if you add a second coat to a solid deck stain that the second coat will not stick and would either not dry and become sticky, or would come off.

  • @WARFOX101 That's very true of a lot of stains out there, especially oil -based. I'm using Benjamin Moore ArborCoat (waterborne deck and siding stain). Its a newer stain that is superior in performance to conventional stains. It dries fast and re-coating can be rapidly completed.

  • Hey, thanks for posting this video. I just finished stripping, brightening and staining my deck and I watched your video about 10 times in the process. Really helped me a lot!
