  • Great video :D

  • @WrathoftheGoddess Thank you :)

  • Could make this shit up.. Oh wait, you did.

  • NO! but we do need more mens rights activist its about time men get their "liberation"

  • @themaniusedtob It's called male privilege for a reason. What do men need to be liberated from, except mandatory child support, which I, as a radical feminist support the abolishment of. Seriously what male-specific oppression?

  • @WrathoftheGoddess It's called female entitlement/ male disposability for a reason. What privilege does a US male have that a fem doesnt and how is it oppressive? Male oppression would include the following but NOT limited to; being plastered in the media and/or imprisoned for false allegations of rape with no due process, Charging males with longer prison sentences for the same crime a woman commits, domestic v laws sexist towards men, alimony,p- alienation, child custody etc

  • @themaniusedtob No field of academia supports this twisted definition of feminism. None of those things you listed barely happen, and if they do, it is a small percentage. Any area of academia you look to supports feminism, the theories and the notion that male privilege along with white privilege is still prevelant in society and feminism is still very much needed. Look it up in google scholar, you will find what I say holds true.

  • Women have less political representation for two reasons 1) women don't run for office at any level as often as men do 2) women don't vote only for other women

With women at 51% of the voting population, it is not men that prevent women from being in the office.

  • What does Feminism have to do with wage gaps? Even the US department of Labor published (CONSAD report, 2009) that there is no discrimination and that the wage gap is due to female choice.

If women want to make more in part-time work, get out of the house or office and into a truck or construction site. Then, women can start to share the workplace mortality and injury rates that men sustain.

  • Modern Feminism is a misandry bigotry agenda, & the women who run it are poor misguided humans with no souls nor empathy for other humans. Nuff said!

  • I'd totally agree with this video... If i lived in 1915, but i don't. These days in the western world, the system bends over backwards to help out women, by stepping on the rights of men. Feminism is dead & needs to be buried as soon as possible, because its really starting to stink.

  • There's an excellent by Milton Friedman that discusses this issue. We don't need feminism, we need capitalism. The Free Market punishes discrimination. The only place where discriminatory BS can flourish is in the government and idiotic government legislation.

  • There's a new term that's referred to as masculinism, and do you know why it came to be? Because there are plenty of people for equality, but not for giving women more rights. Yes, women still are oppressed in countries like Afghanistan and require intervention. However, in America, the legal system bends over backwards for them, and if you take men and women and have them do the exact same work, a woman makes more on average. I used to be a feminist, till I understood modern feminism

  • Ladies, if you want higher pay, pursue college degrees in Computer Science instead of Psychology.

1/3 of female MBAs and 1/20 male MBAs never work full-time.

  • It's a myth that the gender wag gap is due to discrimination. Are 100% workplace deaths due to work discrimination by men. No. It's choice. Check the 2009 US Dept. of Labor report by CONSAD that concludes that the income difference is due entirely to women's choices.

What isn't fair discrimination is that women pay less FICA tax into the Social Security system yet draw at least 50% more because they live longer.

  • This tripe reminds me of the "poor me" attitude of some minorities that talk like they are still being repressed by white racists. Get over it -- get off your butt -- get doing something productive for society...

  • @bwilsey by "something productive" I'm sure you mean making the top 1% even richer, right? Because certainly we should never question the structure of society, ever....

  • Lame video

  • anout voting not ALL men had the RIGHT to vote.. only men who owned land and of high status could do so.. equality? sure females have wayy more rights then men do so yeah maybe we need EQUALIST not FEMINIST

  • women have it better than men in the united states....oh and the picture of the 2 women tennis players....lol....women make the same as men BUT PLAY LESS SETS TO EARN IT !!....NOW THATS TYPICAL !

  • women have it better than men in the united states

  • @johnnyboy39 supporting feminist thought and action would improve the lives of both genders. Claiming women "have it better" is totally missing the point.

Either way you're comparing apples to oranges. Men and women both have serious problems. Feminism provides the best framework for understanding and resolving them. The attitude that feminism is somehow bad or unproductive only gets in the way, and allows both genders to be exploited.

  • @gtrabbit ...Feminism is about women getting what they want !! Its not about equality for men too !!...Women get women only govt programs , affirmative action , better treatment in the criminal and family courts..women are responsible for half of the domestic violence and yet women get the violence against women act !!..do men get this ??..no men do not get this...so tell me what do men get ?????

  • @johnnyboy39 We get plenty. Even granting your statistics (which I doubt) It would be pointless to compare-- Women have it better in some respects, but men still have it much better in others.

Anyway, you're confused about what feminism is. Those things you list are a small part of feminist action, which is publicized by mainstream media to discredit feminism as a whole. And as long as we don't follow feminist thought, it's that much easier to be exploited by media. If you're interested, read.

  • @johnnyboy39 True.

  • news flash women ARE paid the same, the fact is on average men go for tougher higher paying jobs. I don't have a problem with woman being equal, I do have a problem with women thinking they are not equal and then demanding that they should be. Look, there are men out there who don't respect women, and there are women out there who don't respect men. Same goes for blacks, gays, Jews and rich white guys.

  • if you knew where the word feminism comes from you wouldnt think it means equality for men and women. and that women get paid less than men bullshit has been proven false dont believe me, ill send the link proving it to any one that asks.

if feminists want to be lesbians fine, but cut the bullshit, cause if you cant fool ALL women how do you expect to fool ANY man

  • FYI of course I would like it if women were only getting the short stick because they "choose to get the short stick". However, that look is both wrong and ignorant and, most importantly, misogynist. Most people don't realize just how misogynist it is, and me saying anything will NOT make them realize this either. They have to 1. care and 2. think about it for themselves. If they don't care, then it won't change. Whatever. I'm only posting here because I felt bad for ramette99.

  • @ramette99 im reading some of the comments you replied to, and it's basically the same junk we all have to put up with when we support feminism. "but what about women who want to be better" "but what if a woman was part dolphin and then hit a man" blah blah blah and about a million other cases of instances fabricated in someone's head of women who are NOT feminist. does anyone even think before they bring up an example of a sans-feminist woman to support an anti-feminist stance? seriously?

  • No we don't. End of. If you want to hear more then PM me and I will send you a message explaining in detail why EVERY SINGLE POINT in this video is total cliched bullshit.

    We don't need feminism.

  • in australia women are the boss.... will you be my boss, and treat me mean ;)

  • @1GOD1JESUS hehe, yeah! :D

  • ramette99: there's a few other areas where women are under-represented. Manual Labor, Coal Mining, Truck Driving, Logging, Commercial Fishing, Construction Work, Police Work, Farm Labor, and anything else that's high stress, physically demanding, dangerous and high paying. Why don't women take these high paying jobs? sexism? no! they CHOSE lifestyle over pay, which is why they earn less over a lifetime. Not sexism.

  • @johntheother i don't know why i'm wasting my time doing this, but first off, are you even a woman? are you a woman in a science area? no, you're neither, but i am a computer engineer who is also a woman. you just don't see the sexism because, like most people, you're brought up thinking feminism is bad. wanting equality in terms of feminism is taboo. it's ridiculous.

  • @ariesneko " like most people, you're brought up thinking feminism is bad. " wrong. The opposite case is true, my criticism of modern feminism is based on my own observation of its effects. Also, if you chose to disregard or dismiss my opinion based on my sex (male) then you are a simple bigot, whose opinion I can safely ignore. Good day

  • @johntheother No, I brought up your gender because you have never lived as a woman, have you? You are talking on behalf of woman, yet you have never lived as one. This is akin to white people speaking on the behalf of black people (and don't take that out of context either). You also don't understand our hunter/gatherer society (which, btw is why we won against the Neanderthals) and how inefficient women are at remedial labour. This isn't sexist, this is biological facts.

  • @ariesneko I'm talking on behalf of women? wrong again.

  • @johntheother Your own observations are INFLUENCED by our media. You cannot tell me you live in a shed in the middle of nowhere because you are using a computer and accessing the internet. BTW, I would know about influenced observations too, because I was brought up to believe in equality yet for a very long time was anti-feminism. Then I realized that what I was against, was not feminism. It was just crazy people (I didn't understand what feminism actually was). Now, if I were sexist,

  • @johntheother just to give you an idea of how it works, then I would say women should have lower standards to become a fire fighter. To repeat myself, women are biologically different from men. We cannot form muscle tissue anywhere near as easily. Would it be fair then, to lower standards so women can do remedial labour for the same pay? No, it's not. It's not fair to victims in fire much like it is not to owners of logging businesses.

  • The Equal Rights Amendment has yet to pass.

  • Men choose hard work which pays well. This opportunity is open to women but women do not choose hard work. How many women will travel to an isolated job site to do welding on a pipeline in freezing temperatures for $80/hour? Next to none. THERE IS NO WAGE GAP AND YOU ARE A HATEMONGERING LIAR. PEOPLE HAVE WOKEN UP TO FEMINISM AND YOU ARE EXPOSED.

  • No. Feminism is about improving the situation of women. Making legal equality can only improve the situation of women if women are legally discriminated against. If women actually have the legal advantage, legal equality is not the goal of feminism. Of course feminists cannot ever admit that legal equality had been reached 30-90 years ago, because then they'd be exposed as the liars and frauds they are. They need to insist they're "just for equality" when they're about privileging now.

  • 1:45 uhuh and it's the father's responsibility to provide support. I don't see any legitimate complaints here.

  • 1:12"men make more money per hour than women" For equal work and performance?

  • i'm a feminist

but sociologically speaking it should be said that most of the time it's found that men don't care if women are well paid or successful

its, and this isn't really disputed, normally women who try to keep other women down.

so theres stupid people on both sides here

    lol

  • Thanks for commenting :)

interesting point, do you have any examples to illustrate your point?

  • "oooh that girls such a slut! she's had sex with 10 guys already"

"you have to protect your carnal treasure"

    lol

    just sexually speaking

women apparently hate it when they see a sexually liberated fellow woman.

  • or like in the case of when a woman gets pregnant.

she just KNOWS that it's she who has to quit the job to take care of the baby.

    its just understood.

many women are opposed to the idea of woman wrestlers.

i suppose it's because women are more social than men. we evolved that way. it must produce some feeling of betrayal seeing a woman not fitting her social stigma to many women.

  • how about the woman that favors women above men? how about that woman that disrespects men but expects respect FROM men? how about women that cries when women are treated badly and laughs when men get treated the same way?

that is the type of women that's becoming the standard in our media, on television

Yet all you speak about (as most women) is how those women are trying to keep WOMEN down. Another example of selfishness.. I hope you understand me, but I expect you don't.

  • although i hear about that all the time... i've never actually seen it.

it seems to me to be as big a minority as the men who hate women just as senselessly

i suppose i've met a woman who said stupid things like that... but i've met a man of the same caliber. and she wasn't an active feminist. she was just retarded.

    i'm a man.

lol and i don't see how its selfish to blame a gender on holding down a gender... in fact to me it would seem the opposite is true. explain yourself more please.

  • I suppose there might be some women who try to keep other women down, but I honestly haven't noticed it all that much in my personal situation.

I would never call another women a slut, because I actually don't care much about other women's (or men's) sex lives. It's none of my business.

  • Those women, the ones you describe (and thankfully they are few are far between), are idiots. Just as idiotic and blinkered as the men they accuse of the same, but in reverse. They are not feminists. Feminism is about equality and respect, and the women you describe clearly don't fit that.

  • Feminism is a hate movement. You have all the same rights and freedoms as men now and nowhere in this video can you prove or demonstrate how or where you are discriminated against. Women make less money than men because of the choices the choices they make. Women graduate from college with highly social, family friendly degrees like Sociology and Womyn's Studies where they can work in air-conditioned offices.

  • Most of the negative comments here are by people who probably have little contact with women. You don't see much women in mining, sewerage, garbage collection because they would not get hired.

It's like a train timetable, no one will wait for a train in a station at 12:00 if there isn't one scheduled to arrive.

They are not generally used as frontline soldiers because most governments are not willing. Yet when they do, they can use a weapon and stop a bullet just as well as the men.

  • I think most of the negative comments come from people who are honestly tired of a feminist era and governments who favor women above men.

Not even mentioning our media, which is overloaded with anti-male talkshows, songs, sitcoms etc.. where it's funny to disrespect a man in public but a crime to disrespect a woman.

Saying men who are addressing issues about our society are "mine-workers", is a complete unrealistic and insulting statement. It also shows your knowledge about modern males.

  • I think you lack reading and comprehension skills. You missed my point altogether. Read it again.

  • It's like this, if you start a race between a man and a woman with the woman carrying a burden and when the man gets half way to the finish line, we all agree that it is unfair. Would it be fair to simply relieve the woman of her burden and continue the race? Of course not, the race should be re-run but we can't do that. So the man has to pick up the burden for the rest of the race. Of course, the burden has to be just right, not something to keep men down.

  • Feminism is about equality? Then do you focus on women entirely? Men face injustices as well, and you haven't tried to help AT ALL. Doesn't that sound a little silly?

  • equal payments of course, no laws should hinder a sex or race from taking a job, butr leave culture alone please.

  • IF feminism is about equality, how come it oppresses men?

  • I do believe in equality between the sexes, but modern feminism has come to the point where men are made out to be worthless scum and women are godesses. Rather than trying to purposefully make women more equal then men, we should just keep equality among everybody and let the aberrations such as wage disparity and status disparity take their natural courses.

  • Women will have more political representation only when larger numbers of women *choose* to pursue a career in politics. Where is the systemic discrimination?

How will feminists get more women to pursue careers in science, when women themselves *choose* not to.

And if feminism is for equality as you say, where are the campaigns to get more women in mining, sewerage work, and garbage collection? You know, the sort of work that no equality minded feminist would touch with a barge pole!

  • The interesting thing is, feminism tries to create the illusion that men in political positions are there to benefit men....when in fact they are there to ensure the survival of and prosperity of women before men.

Make no mistake, women *chose* men as leaders because male leaders provide the resources women desire.

  • I'd like to ask the American feminist a question.

"How did you feel when you had to fill out and submit your selective service draft card?"

  • woamns created feministm because they want money. greedy bich

  • Do you know why you're under-represented in politics and science? Because there are more intelligent men than there are women. Intelligence is more spread out in men. There are fewer average men than women, and more men are below average intelligence than women. Since there are more intelligent man than women, this equates to more men in power positions. Feminism is Marxist, totalitarian bullshit.

  • Feminism is a joke.

    Equality is as well.

Men built this world, men will rule it.

    Fin.

  • u said it all

  • This is a man's world, but it wouldn't be nothing without a woman or a girl

  • just kidding, don't slap me ;)

  • I won't, unless you want me to :)

  • We need feminism in America, like how we need cancer. Feminism is reverse Darwinism!

  • How is that even a proper argument?

  • u said right , it is the reverse of evolution,

  • OMG a feminazi that's actually from Germany !!!

  • LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Yeah, except I'm not German

  • You're right, it is very unfair in regards to parenting. I mean, whoever read an article written about how fathers can juggle being a parent, keeping a house clean, and hold down a good career? These are written for working mothers all the time.

  • You may be surprised, but it isn't the same everywhere in the world. In South Korea, it's almost always the father who gets custody.

  • These issues are dead & the pendulum has swung too far in the other direction.

Now its all about special interests & gov't agencies making money.

  • I'm not trying hurt your cause or whatever, because one of bros is an actual femi (no offense) so he says that Selective Services should be completely random meaning they draw straws and men and women will be drafted if the time comes, do you support this I just needed a femme

femi to answer the question. With all my respects...

    ~Chris

  • I don't think anybody should be drafted, male or female, if I've got the meaning of selective services right. To be honest, I'm not sure what selective services are, but I think it might be the army?

  • I don't know what selective services are because I'm from a country where nobody is expected or forced into that kind of thing. Maybe the problem is with your government? Men do have conception rights, it's called using a condom.

  • Women do have abortion rights, it's called CLOSING THEIR LEGS.

  • You want all the opportunities, and none of the responsibilities, that is why you call it feminism. Well soldier on - in this cause of hatred and you will get what you deserve - just wait till the natural chivalry dies off, then you will get your due.

  • Wow, you know so much about me and yet we've never met! What responsibilities are you talking about? And what's this about chivalry? We don't need chivalry, only respect.

  • *raises fist in solidarity*

  • Thanks :)

  • When the very last complaint about "the evils of condoms and birth control" has been made, I will begin to feel like authentic progress is at hand. Until then, I will work against the forces that presume their righteousness in preventing the equalization of human rights, for everyone.

  • I couldn't agree more :)

  • Great video!.Equality for ALL!!

  • Thanks!

  • Equal pay for the same job is worth fighting for. In many other ways, women have already achieved equality. The fight is not over.

A lot of persons have this inaccurate image of what a feminist is. They think all feminists are man hating lesbians. While that may be true of some extremists, it is far from true of the majority of feminists. There are even male feminists out here, that see inequality, and fight to end it.

  • That's their fight against equality and women's rights, to paint all feminists with the same brush as hairy legged, man-hating extremists.

  • Off course we fucking need it!

As long as ONE woman is not equal on this planet we need it.

  • I might not disagree with you completely here Vogter, but why do we need feminism specifically in stead of, say, "Humanism",

  • It's about equal opportunities for men and women. That's what my idea of feminism is.

  • I agree fully, but why not call it "Humanism" in stead of "Feminism"? aside from the fact that Humanism is already taken by another cause.

My point is that is should not be about equal rights for men and women, it should be about equal rights for all humans.

  • It seems we are thinking in the same way, but are using different words to describe the same thing :)

I use the word feminism because I still see a lot of injustice when it comes the number of opportunities women have. Isn't it true that women's sport still isn't covered by the media? And that women are still not equal in the boardroom?
