In frueherer Zeit wurde dieser jezt schon lange Zeit genannte deutscher Grosser Zapfenstreich oft "Russischer" genannt, wobei auf die Kabinettsorder Friedrich Wilchelms III. von 1813 verwiesen wurde. Nach der Schlacht von Gross-Goerschen war der Pruessische Koenig von russischen Zapfenstreich so ergriffen, dass er diesen uebernemmen haben soll.
