  • now WHY cant they put this on NETFLIX stream... DAM.

  • I like the sound of Slims beads on his braids. They are soothing.

  • Slim is gigantic

  • PANDEMIC!!!! GOT THAT PANDEMIC!!!

  • Slim kind of looks like Pusha T. Just realized.

  • @Krowsnose yup. that's true, I wrote a comment about the Clipse in the stinkum and omar video, but forgot to mention that slim def look's like pusha. Hell hath no fury is a fucking classic.

  • @Krowsnose a 6'8 Pusha T

  • fuck dem co-op niggas n marlo

  • Prop Joe knew that Avon was easier to talk to than Marlo so blamed the problem on Avon when there was beef between Avon and Marlo. Joe was advised Marlo was cold and still played around with him. Joe brought his death upon himself.

  • welcome new day co-op "tomorrow's success stories start today" at the Holiday Inn

  • @MachineGunMouth them co op niggas wasn't gangsters all except Big G . The rest was just about a easy dollar . But right If they hadn't bagged Avon, Wee-bey and Slim would gotten rid of Chris and Snoop . Which leaving Marlo defenseless . The show would of shifted back to Avon Vs Omar

  • to me these co-op nicca is a bunch of bitches. avon woulda never rode marlo dick like the rest of these cats. marlo was str8 shitting on them and they aint do nothin, but these suppose to be gangsta's?

  • @MachineGunMouth You have to understand tho. Marlo had more muscle than all these dudes combined. They needed Marlo's muscle to ward off the New York crews who were taking over eastside. Little did they know of Marlo's ambition, especially Joe. Avon wouldn't have had to deal with Marlo, cuz he had plenty of muscle himself, hence them going to war in season 3. Of coruse by then, Avon's empire was slowly falling apart.

  • i love that quote "the thing about the old days is...they the old days"

  • I love Bodie, he was hard headed that's what messed him up. He was too real of a person to pretend what Marlo doing is cool. Bodie just shows he grew up scince season one. Marlo couldn't stand Bodie because he had a mind of his own and he knew Bodie didn't give a crap about him.

  • if the major players had to battle it out lyrically, who would win? Because the whole show is littered with 'proper lyrics ' from d'angelo in season 1 right through to marlo in season 5 and everyone else in between

  • Pandemic! got that pandemic right here yo

  • Yep thats where Bodie messed up... Should've rocked w/ Slim, would still be alive.

  • @odie4life u right that was the death of him either go w/slim or leave the game

  • slim and bodie were the best

  • I wear my black doo rag like bodie

  • Marlo can make an inconvenient nigga dissapear.

  • lol why the hell are they meeting at a holiday inn dont you think that shit be a little suspicious

  • @liljoker123456 Haha at a holiday inn :)

  • Comment removed

  • "Holding my Charles Dickens" lol

  • "Yeah, Marlo can make an inconvenient nigga disappear, can't he?" I always wonder how far in advance the writers planned, or if they just sensed the way storylines would develop. Is this foreshadowing from Prop Joe? The fact that it's a season his death before says no, but the line and the switch to the long shot to make Prop feel small and insignificant say otherwise.

  • I mean 'Slim'

  • That quote should've been the quote they show at the start of the episode. One of my favorite lines from the Wire.

  • I like Slim but "see the thing about the old days, they the old days" that's exactly why the Greek was the man running B-More not anyone from there.

The old days still the same days, just some folks don't realise it.

  • slim charles is a smart dude like a combination of avon and stringer knew when there was a time to get gangster and a time to be business one thing that bothered me is he didn't stand by what was left of his barksdale people like bodie

  • @jrampage4457 if he did, he wouldve died with bodie. he tried to help bodie by telling him not to do anything stupid and reckless, instead of being stupid and restless WITH him.

  • @jrampage4457 String was hired muscle for the barksdales. At that point he was just a soldier, not working any of his own territory. By now, he's running his own crews for Joe. Also, what Barksdale people were there to stand with? Everybody got clipped in the raid at the end of season 3. Is him, Bodie and Brianna go Clint Eastwood and take on the whole stanfield organization? nah...

  • Yeah, now, well, the thing about the old days — they the old days.

hope u got better shit to say then stringer

  • Yeah, now, well, the thing about the old days — they the old days.

  • bodie was never weak he may have been naive about the game at times but none the less bodie was a real nigga the only dude beside omar that stayed true to the game

  • Bodie definetly not weak he is a strong characther he don't put up with no shit he is real he one of the only people who not with being bitched around he want his money

  • @MsiJuStDoNtCare Strong, but not too bright. Sometimes you gotta know when the battle ain't yours to fight.

  • Thumbs up if you want Slim Charles to create your Voicemail Message

  • Fat Face Rick: "Well what ever he doing He Cold & He aint Stupid"(Marlo).....

  • Comment removed

  • @illouie I'm with you on this one. When Marlo took Bodie's corner he even gave him a compliment calling him a "rightful hustler" so i think he respected him on that level. Plus if he killed Bodie who was gonna run the corner? Michael wasn't even in the picture yet.

  • Yeah and he always underestimated himself too. Would have loved to see a season 6 to see how he managed the connect. My theory is that even though he was originally Barksdale, he would have taken a Prop Joe approach.

  • Slim Charles was one of the most intelligent characters on this show......didn't get a quarter of the accolades he should have received.

  • @knight7se7en He could've...... but he said he was'nt cut out to be a c.e.o..

  • Such a step up from Slim vs. when he worked for Avon.

  • The Godfather Commission:.."I too am against drugs. For years I paid my people more so they wouldn't get into the trade...but they can take $25,000.00 and turn it into $50,000.00..so they cant resist. I say we turn it into a business. I don't want it sold near schools were decent people live, thats an infermeria. We'll keep it in the dark neighborhoods, the blacks...they're animals anyway...so let them lose their souls"....

  • @WiseGuy5674 is that Actually in the movie? I know its real as hell though...

  • I bet if Bodie did have the muscle he needed he would have been on top, instead of Marlo.

  • @YayaBae

Bodie was doomed anyway you cut it. Slim said it best about the old days being the old days. Bodie may have gotten lucky when it came to Marlo, but there would've been another Marlo after that, and another after that, and another, in the long run.

  • I love the scenes with Bodie and Slim.

  • il avait raison bodie il aurait du descendre marlo

  • @PerceivedPerception1 Yeah, I used to think shows like Oz and sopranos were awesome, till I found the wire.

  • @PerceivedPerception1 Just check the line in this video: "If you want my advice" "I don't man, I don't". If you think that the interaction between those two there feels natural, then I guess we just disagree on what we percieve as good acting.

  • Everyone loves Bodie, but I think he was one of the weaker actors in the show. His timing and actions didn't feel natural. I could always tell he was acting, start to finish.

  • @Lewis1985 he is an excellent character....of all the characters bodie had the most part, the acting was awesome

  • @Lewis1985 ...I agree totally. Bodie always looked like he was confused about everything....I also though it was a bit over the top when he told Chris and Snoop that he told his boy to shoot them both in the head, but his boy left...then he agrees to take Marlo's package. That was a bullshit scene. Snoop would have just up and shot him in the head for saying such a thing...they kill people for less..Bodie was a weak character. You hit it right on the head.

  • @WiseGuy5674 Why would they kill Bodie, an excellent drug dealer, without first giving him a choice?

  • @illouie They gave him a choice..He started moving they package..'Why ain't in your Repetoire no more"

  • @WiseGuy5674 no yall keep sayin bodie was weak bodie wanted to run his own shit not be under someone and at that that someone is the same person that took over his old team bodie was strong and felt as though he was being bitched and in the end he got tired and decided he was goin go out fighting them bitches idk whether all yall are crazy or stupid but a nigga takin your corner forcing u to work for him makes u look weak

  • wish bodie started a strong crew and took out marlo

  • DAMN, BODIE HAD A BIG ASS SPIT.

  • Yeah now well, the thing about the old days.....they the OLD days. ---I love that line.

  • damn slim knew exactly what marlo was doing with the bodies.

  • That nigga at 1:30 is very smart...

I like the scene where he and slim meet the greek. The new Avon/Joe/Marlo. Slim &... what's that nigga name?

  • FAT FACE RICK....HE A BITCH

  • The more i watch this the more i think it was only a matter of time.

He admits he has NO MUSCLE. So who's stopping someone from taking that real estate?

If not Marlo then it would have been another up and comer (the next Marlo or Avon). He should have joined the co-op or gotten some muscle.

Instead he choose to join a guy he doesn't even like. Then Marlo kills one of his boys for snitching he gets pissed & tried to snitch on Marlo with McNulty.

That's what happens when you don't have muscle.

  • Bodie and Poot were west side soldiers Prop Joe was east side

  • @piecekpr82 still shit they shuldve stayed along with slim not like their being traitors, that was slims advice i think he was gonna say

  • @piecekpr82

BODIE WAS EAST SIDE DUMBASS, GET YOUR SHIT STRAIGHT, HE WORKED FOR SLIM CHARLES WHO BECAME THE BOSS

  • He meant Bodie came up west side which he did.

  • I was thinking. why couldnt bodie and poot always hop over to prop joe like slim did?

  • Icle, icles get em while they cold

  • @Dannyb0y24 they was avons personal crew wail he was locked up

  • BECAUSE THEY ARE STUPID NIGGERS

  • bodie was one of the best characters, too bad he died

  • PANDEMIC .. PANDEMIC !!

  • slim's mannerism are interesting to watch "I hope you got better shit to say than Stringer...cuz youngn aint give no one an ear yet"

  • Ironically, Bodie would end up selling "the good dope" even after he stayed with Marlo - they brought him into the coop anyway.

  • I need to learn how to spit like that

  • Start sucking cock, swish the cum around in one spot. Repeat 4 times daily for 1 week and youll be good to go.

  • lol

  • how would you know, how to do that

  • ipracticed many times.. i tell you it works

  • I wish I could walk in there casually while they're grumbling and then say yeah

    "True that players"

    big smile

    room gets quiet

    I gulp

    then get blasted

  • Slim Charles is an underrated, intelligent dude. Always knew the score.

  • yeah he could have probably ran some shit but he didn't want to. he just wanted to put in his 2 cents and do his job.

  • SPOILERS!!!

Although he was a joint leader of the New Day Co-Op in one of the very last scenes of Season 5.

  • @sattfield slim was the smartest, most composed gangster of the crew

  • @sattfield charles was my fav

  • Wish Bodie had listened to Slim.

  • what was slim charles advice to bodie?

  • Bodie would still be live if he only listened to Slim. Being a hard head never last long in this game.

  • @rodneydanielsjr You can only push a man so far before he starts pushing back. And thats what I see the case with Bodie. Marlo pinned him into a corner and decided he didn't like it.

  • @rodneydanielsjr

not necessarily, he ended up dead because he started to get too attached to shit and couldn't run with the program. he kept trying to question shit just because it wasn't stringer bell giving the orders. he got emotional about lil kev in being killed and that's what got him down to the police station where mcnulty got him out (being seen with mcnutty is what got him killed)

  • @gauchebag you know what i can actually agreed with that about Bodie questioning shit because if i was in his shoes i would to be doing the same thing as well being seen with mcnutty pretty much did him in. I still believe if he have had took at least a bit of Slim's advice he might be still alive

  • @rodneydanielsjr don't be too hard on bodie man. First of all, he was the best soldier there is on the whole show, and he was just tired of the shit Marlo was pulling. Damn man ppl should have stick with him. In the end you're right though,

  • The Problem with Bodie was conflict ion with his own character. He was too young and stupid when Stringer got him and Poot to kill Wallace. Obviously that put a huge impact on him and haunted him for the rest of his life, he didn't want to bump with Marlo, because he had too much conscience, he saw Marlo as a cold blooded killer that didn't play the game by the rules. him being alone at the end "protecting his corner" was his way of "protecting" what he believed in, what was just and right.

  • i feel you on this. he should have listened to Slim and joined up with the CO-OP. he should have known working for Marlo wouldnt be wise. Marlo already didnt respect him being an ex-Avon employee and being an independent with no backing. bodie was a soldier but just didnt allign himself with the right people when the time was right...which is what i liked about Slim. he knew when to put himself in the right place at the right time. and it payed off every time...

    iLL .

  • I totally agree, you basically summed up Slim's career on the streets, he was work by the text book , no frills, no showing off, he stayed in the shadows did the right thing, at the right time, didn't step on nobody's toes, and he was one of the very few lucky ones to survive and make it. But even though he was quiet, he wasn't passive or indifferent, hence how again he took the right step at the right time to put Cheese in his well deserved place.

  • Slim IS basically that Pawn in D'angelo Barksdale's game description that made it to the end of the opponent's chess board and got the Queen if not the King, (because.."The King always be the King") ;) .. I love this show ! it's modern day Greek Mythology and Shakespeare

  • yea bodie could of worked with slim hun dat was what slim was goin tell him right

  • @Jrockthug he was gonna tell him to go with the flow until avon come home

  • i love the way bodie spits lol

i tried doing it once and spat on myself :(

  • you need to work on it, after a bit youll get it

  • @kamzyp Yea Bodie has been spitting likr that since the show first aired back in 2002 lol

  • Marlo crew in season three was putting the whoop down on Avon's Crew so.

  • stringer was puttin the whoop down on avons crew

  • why is that guy yelling pandemic in the background

  • advertising. that's the name of the latest batch.

  • uhhh swine flu...lol

    Its the package yo

  • so you wanna bump wit marlo over realistate

  • 35?

  • seconds

  • My bad, Davy. I thought keith was referring to Bodie's age. I must've been half drunk that day when I commented.

  • Bodie my man in all but what was he supposed 2 be at :35 a superhero

  • if i were bodie i would have bumped with marlo

  • and died....

  • if bodie would of bumped with marlo what would of happen?

  • the Bodie's crew would of got killed.

  • Bodie's crew would've got smashed and he would have gotten killed earlier

  • THANK YOU FOR SUMMING DAT UP FOR ME

  • this my pops old hood. they filmed this on e. lanvale and barclay, on the east side. that corner look exactly the same to this day!

  • Slim tried to help that boy out

  • Yes slim was a enforcer but he did not have the muscle behind him that he had when avon was in town and marlo had chris and snoop and they had a bunch of little enforcers that why

  • bodie was hella pissed but slim charles knew bodie was on his own now.

  • I also thought the New York organizations would retaliate in season 5 for their dealers getting bumped off by Marlo's crew, that would of been dope if Brother Mouzone got back into the mix

  • I thought the same thing. Season five would have been a lot better if it went down like that.

  • It would have went down like that..NY is way bigger than baltimore

  • I'm sayin though, season five would have been more interesting if they wrote it like that. Season 5 to me was the worst season. I think they really need a season 6

  • nah they pussies

  • Yeah, that's what I didn't understand, he's a soldier so why wasn't he putting in work against the New York dealers, they could of avoided alot of drama if they would of did their own dirt instead of going through Marlo

  • Its simple, by bringing marlo in they kill two birds with one stone. Marlo bumps off the new york boys and he joins the alliance. Boom, one stroke new york competition gone and marlo is now paying for their connect instead of stealing the west sides corners.

  • why couldn't slim handle the new york dealers? isn't he a solider? why did the co-op need chris & snoop to do the job for them?
