Its not that hard guys, trust me I thought it was super difficult too at first. You think the notes are like jumbled all over the place and hard to transition to but if u just keep trying its actually pretty easy once ur hands familiarize. Trust me within like 2-4 days the beginning will be easy

Well I'm no expert guitar player, so I got a question to everybody.

I like this song and this video very much, so I showed it to somebody who's claming to understand a lot about music and guitar playing. And he said, his technique and guitar skills could not be judged by such a "plain" song.

My question is, why not?

It seems to me that Jerry is a very talented player!

I wouldn't call the song plain, but there are plenty of more difficult songs that he could play to prove his skill. Jerry played this song because Neil is his guitar idol, not because it's a difficult song to play.

You gotta give JerryC a lotta credit on this. This is a REALLY hard song to song to play. I looked at a tab for it and there are some really complex fingerings in it. JerryC is the king. I'm greatly surprised that he isn't more widely known. He's extremely talented. I mean, he's up there with Vai and Satch in my opinion. Rock on everyone,

I know alot about writing music, and what he did here is pretty cool, he actually took all the chords in a key, played the 5th string voicings of them, and made these awesome interval-skipping riffs out of the arpeggios. Isn't that awesome? What a guy!

Haha, yeah. You have a point with me exaggerating... But this guy could very well be the next Vai or Satch. If you've heard any of his other songs you'll see that this guy has a LOT of talent. He could very well make insturmental music more popular, like it was during say the Flying In A Blue Dream album. His fan base isn't huge, but it's deffinitely growing.

And I agree wih you that it isn't perfect, but it's still bad to the bone. =D

i just wonder what kind of approach he uses when writing songs. does he just single out lots of different arpeggios? does he play it by key, scale, or chords? ahh the burning questions.....

it can be done in many ways but once you lay down the chords it gives you the whole feel of the song then you may add bass lines to make the changes even more prominent, an easy way is to make an idea of a few bars than build over it or around it then keep expanding as you get more ideas, please check out my uploaded small compositions and comment.
