I see where people are coming from with the PSP Go but now that the Vita is coming out you can get one for about $100 or cheaper and if you put custom firmware on it you can use it to emulate classic games (GBA, NES, SNES, N64) and get some homebrew. I think the thing is worth it now but back then yes it was an overpriced gimmick done by Sony.
Aesthetically, I like the PSP go a lot more. As a college student, I already have books and shit to lug around, so the smaller, lighter system is definitely attractive. But the higher price point is not. (Although I would definitely be buying it used from ebay or craigslist.)
I had a psp 1001, but it was stolen recently. It was hacked, so I never really had any UMD's. I want a system mostly to play emulators. That's why I bought my original psp.
@NickSparkss Have you made a decision yet? I have a go and I love the portability of it. 32 gb of space with the use of a M2 memory card. Does the 3000 have skype and bluetooth? Just something to consider.

Slapped some CFW on there and loaded it up with all of my old emulators and I couldn't be happier.
I really like the Go's buttons and the analog is actually quite nice. Only thing I'm not crazy about is the shoulder buttons, they're a little awkward in my hands but I figure I'll get used to it.

Then he has a vid showing how to put the CFW on the PSP, and how to make it permenant if your module number allows it.
He's really cool about getting back to people in the comments too if you have questions.

@AslamTau Um... no? When I record videos using my laptop's webcam there's a lag/delay on the audio when I upload them to youtube. That's why I don't use my webcam anymore and just use my ipod to record videos. Strange theory there my friend.

it really depends on u if u want to buy a psp go or a psp 3000 in my opinion..... for psp go u need to buy games online but some parents dont trust the internet (like my parents) and its limited which means u can only buy like 15 games for 16gb or maybe more (depends how many mb\gb the game is)..... or u buy some other memory cards and keep downloading, but thats the problem! your internet is limited with downloads so dont over do it!! also sony said them self that the psp go is not recommended!
I just got a Psp go and it is awsome. I paid 218.50 with tax and I love it looks cool built well and worth it. Has skype and no disks. Only bad thing is if you dont have internet but I do so no problems buy this for sure!
yea i agree the psp go is totally retarded. my main complaint is that all the games are download only. so like if somehow you were to lose your Psp Go then all ur games are lost and u would have to not only get another psp go but u would also have to get ur games back. i dont get these people thinking that downloadable games are better than the actual game disc.

@Splitlickty Well you're right about the you suck part. I work at a game store and no one EVER buys these things. If someone trades one in because they dont want it any more (which happens often) then we only give them $50 store credit for it! And when we turn around and sell it ourselves, we charge $150, which is $100 less than the retail price. And STILL no one buys them. You just keep thinking its the best thing ever made though.

Death lines? That's a little bit of an exaggeration. There's some flickering lines if you try really hard to notice them. They did fix that "problem" on the PSP Go, but there's also the 50 other crappy problems with the Go that I mentioned in the video. So the 3000 is better by far. If you don't like the lines, then get a 1000 or a 2000. Anything's better than the Go.

It was a good game. The only reason I didn't make a video review was because my camera was only $100 and when I try to record stuff on a ds screen it just comes out as a big blur of colors. I don't own a video capture card so I couldn't have any game footage in the video review, so it'd kinda suck. Hopefully someday I'll have better equipment for making stuff.

If you have umds and a psp and ya want to sell em, if nobody wants your umds with the psp, you can just sell them separately. But if you spent hundreds of $ on games for the Go, then try to sell it someday, if no one wants your games you're stuck selling the system for the same amount as someone else who has no games cause the buyer will probably just delete your games if they don't like them. There's no way of selling or returning games. & Go loadtimes aren't much faster. A few sec at most.

GO for it, you can go on skype on it, facebook, its just amazing I wasnt sure but when i ordered it i couldnt wait for it to come, and its coming tomoro! Go to amazon its cheap there, £179! I got pearl white, honestly its a good buy dont listen to the bad reviews cos its just like, "Too small, carmped, ages to download(half an hour? thats not long!) etc. Honestly go for it. You wont regret it, and get back to me on your decision, its nice to know. Ill make a video unboxing it too.

Death lines? That's a little bit of an exaggeration. There's some flickering lines if you try really hard to notice them. They did fix that "problem" on the PSP Go, but there's also the 50 other crappy problems with the Go that I mentioned in the video. So the 3000 is better by far. If you don't like the lines, then get a 1000 or a 2000. Anything's better than the Go.

I returned my go with in a week of having it. The slim is much better i went on the ps store and the store is damn near empty their just starting to put the old games on their honestly i hate to use this word but only a retard would defend the go sony has nothing to say about it's sales it's a bust

It was a good game. The only reason I didn't make a video review was because my camera was only $100 and when I try to record stuff on a ds screen it just comes out as a big blur of colors. I don't own a video capture card so I couldn't have any game footage in the video review, so it'd kinda suck. Hopefully someday I'll have better equipment for making stuff.

all of this and you still brought one lol what a dick head...download your games from media go which came with your psp or a ps3 way faster duh...Most people buying a psp go have a ps3 BUT dont have a psp so thats a market right there stupid lol. If you have a psp 3000 then you shouldnt be buying the the psp go thats dumb. digital is the future just look @ history so far cassettes to cd to itunes/vhs to dvd to things like streaming from netflix..you will be left behind

I bought one because I buy EVERYTHING when it first comes out to try it for you guys. And digital may be the future, but if the Go's sales figures are any indication, then digital is in the distant future. Sony is so embarrassed of the Go's low sales numbers they won't even disclose them. Sounds like you're just trying to make yourself feel better because you bought this garbage.

I DID give all the facts. That's the sad part. There are almost NO good qualities about it. Yes it's smaller. Yes you don't have to carry UMDs around with you anymore. I touched on all these things. But the cons far outweigh the pros. Hey, if you wanna buy a PSP Go, be my guest. All I'm saying is that it is a failed project and never should have been made. It's selling terribly (I work at GS and we haven't sold any) and Sony is too embarrassed to even give sales figures. Buy it if you want, idc.

If you have umds and a psp and ya want to sell em, if nobody wants your umds with the psp, you can just sell them separately. But if you spent hundreds of $ on games for the Go, then try to sell it someday, if no one wants your games you're stuck selling the system for the same amount as someone else who has no games cause the buyer will probably just delete your games if they don't like them. There's no way of selling or returning games. & Go loadtimes aren't much faster. A few sec at most.
