@Lulzalex I don't think you can because the multiplayer practice mode uses the map C&C_Under which, after the patches, doesn't get given a flying version while maps like City and Walls do, so nope

i know where your orca is, the orca is death... you landed with a "jump" the orca jumps up and down and land on the ground turned and explode...

The flying vehicles were added in a later update. The latest version is 1.037. You can probably find the update by searching renegade 1.037 patch in google or something.

My guess on what happened to your Orca is that either you landed incorrectly and the Orca flipped over and blew up, or you took too long in the Hand of Nod and the Harvester made two trips and killed your 900 dollar Orca on the way back the first time (and then your 1000 dollar self afterwards).

How do you set the camera to rotate to look at wherever you are aiming when in a vehicle? A good example is at 0:34 - 0:38. Please reply.

You set the camera on the turret, not the vehicle.

Yeah, as far as I'm aware, the best way is to go in the controls and set the (I think it's called) 'Free Aim' button to Shift and just shift down when you want it set to turret. By default, mine was the V key.

@compact105 I know how to set the camera now, and it makes gameplay much easier. Some noobs will probably wonder how I'm driving away from them and still blowing their vehicles to pieces.

What I did, I went to Multiplayer LAN from the Main Menu, clicked Host A Game, set players to 1, disabled dedicated server, set the map rotation, and I could play the maps without any enemy AI opponents. I think that this is what this guy did. If you did something different, compact105, then please let me know. Then again, I play from the First Decade disk, and the Renegade on that disk is already set to a patch (I forgot which one), so it might not work on the older versions.

Do you have flying maps enabled? If you dont then the orca is not compatible with your ren disk and you may have continuing errors with buying flying vehs.

Flying maps where enabled as this was Walls_Flying

Different older versions of renegade sometimes had a error and had to have flying maps enabled manualy by going to the data files and replacing the flying maps.

Dunno what version mine was, it was 1.3 something I think, dunno and don't care anymore since there's an amazing mod called Renegade-X that makes Unreal 3 into Renegade.

The Tiberium harvester obviously pushed it on its side and it blew up because that is why its called renegay.

The Orca bounced up and flipped over. That caused it to blow up.

He's playing single-player(check previous comments), so there's no reason to plant on the ped here.

Yer, I think thats the best conclusion as that tends to happen a lot. And yes, I was playing single player therefore there is no real reason to plant the beacon on the ped. Now please can people stop bombarding this vid with "You should have placed it on the ped" comments. Thank you

Yer, I hate it when that happens, you end up having to get some moderator to kick the guy in your vehicle. I remember once we thought this one guy was particularly strange and he decided to steal a light tank of mine. After that happened I had the whole of me team sending me PMs saying use !qkick, use !qkick. lol Great game.

Once you've setup single player for multiplayer maps you just need to make sure you have (map name)_flying in the map rotation. Then you should have no problem buying flying vehicles.

I dont think its the havrver, if u pay attention, when u were coming in into the nod base, the harv was just leaving. it did take you long for u to place a beacon, and shoot stuff.

WHEN you came out, ORCA gone, BUT harv was just returning, it was nowhere near your orca, how do u explain this?
