@tbey82 I tried coils on my daughter hair a while ago, but the experience wasn't great. The comb went down smooth on some and on other it got stuck in her hair. How saturated does the hair have to be. That hair was a hot mess, lol, they didn't stay in for long.
@CasmaLi The hair has to be pretty damp to work well and will get stuck in the hair if it isn't wet enough. Try it again. It does take a while to do...it took me 2 1/2 hours to start lil t's

At the moment she has two strand twists on her head and would like to simply let them in. There are 74, I wonder if it's enough. How many locs did you make on your daughter ? @ayakatoudeparis My daughter has 72 honestly if I could do it over I would have done at least 90. I retwist her hair every week because she swims. When she doesn't I do it every other week.
@nkengi21 I washed lil t's hair every week since day one. Because she is so young, and doesn't cover her hair as often as she should, plus she very active. She dances 6 days a week. IMO...I think for their age You shouldn't wait longer than 2 weeks.

@charlisew Well welcome :-) Locs on children isn't for everyone. The parents must have the right mindset for it. Not everyone does. And if the child gets tired of his or her hair when they get older just take it out or cut it. Just like any other style. People put so much into locks like it something different than any other style.

However, choice is important. I want my daughter to be happy 1st & if her hair caused her to be teased or mocked it wouldn't permote the confidence in her I want. I asked these questions more to prove a point that kids with locks are not teased for being different. It's not as taboo and many think.
Her locs are absolutely stunning! I started my girls locs back on April 23, 2011! Their hair is fully locked and growing soo very long and beautiful! I cant wait to show them this video!
