  • Radiohead is a legend.

  • When I die, I want this to be played at my funeral.

  • beautifully sad

  • @Unnamed0909 Exactly the same here, it's like a whole new part of the song I never noticed before.

  • At first I wondered why Thom was singing "get me out of here" at the end, but then I listened to the song again and noticed that Ed sings that in the background. That really blew my mind. I never noticed that before.

  • get me out of here

  • one word, incredible...

  • Absolutely brilliant!

    nostalgic

  • If I have two sons I'm going to name them Thom and Jonny

  • @myuesrnameisbad Just name him Thomas ._.

  • @myuesrnameisbad

What if they grow up and hate radiohead and resent you for it? Just let your fuckin kids be man.

It's exactly that kind of behavior (fascism, deeming your children your 'property') that this music NEGATES.

  • @gdoddmeta3608 How do u think u got ur name... It just dropped out of the sky.. heh, wake up.. Ur namegiveing has a story too.. like it or not..

  • beyond words....

  • I adore Radiohead emmensely! I especially like listening to them on a long night car ride and sometimes at night before falling asleep with headphones.

Thank you Radiohead! You have given me joy

  • no surprises, please

  • I love radiohead ..

  • Lads k got chills

  • This is the most perfect version of No Surprises. This is how it's supposed to be.

  • .....

  • does he have a problem in his eye????

  • @666BloodJunkie yeh, its a bit Jim Royle

  • @666BloodJunkie

when he was born he had is left eye shut so he underwent 5 eye operations before he was 5 and the last one droped is eyebrow line

  • @666BloodJunkie botched surgery

  • (oh, and about 30,000 of those 'views' are me LOL- seriously!) can't start my day the right way without my anthem, favorite song, favorite version of it, and an all around Masterpiece. the 'high audio' is great- but this is my fave <3

  • The way he sings 'This is my final fit my final bellyache' " 2:16 onwards. Perfection, a flawless vocal from Thom. My favourite version.

  • I watch this video at least 5 times a day. As a classical pianist, hardcore Bach-bitch LOL, I'm still taking in the beauty of this piece! still relishing subtle polyphony in guitar & f-ing awesome brilliance of simple piano accomp. Would be 'surprised' (lol) if this piece wasn't analyzed in grad classes, vocals covered & studied, etc. 300 from now.. Ok- just had to share that w/ u who love No Surprises! (& this amazing acoustic) <3

  • @trinaVIPiano (oh and re: still taking it in, that's since release of OK Computer! best song ever!!! ok- stutting up now!... silence )

  • CLARO QUE PUEDO, YA LO HICE..

  • Tom have many talent

  • 우끼끼

  • 45 people need a surprise foot in there face

  • Sublime. Electrifying.

  • Wow, I have never heard these acoustic versions before.

I love YouTube almost as much as I love Radiohead !

How many artists could strip songs down as much as this and bring fresh beauty out, yet still retain the power of the original ?

  • @danjsy That's how you can tell the difference between a true, talented musician. When they can play acousticly and still sound good if not better. I adore Radiohead's acoustic versions more than the origional ones

  • I WOULD LOVE THIS TO BE PLAYED AT MY 15TH BDAY (MY BIRTHDAY WILL BE SHIT CUS 1ST DAY BACK TO SCHOOL) BUT THIS WOULD MAKE IT THE BEST :')

  • I hope I'm not the only one who just shat their pants. 3,993 likes...guess not.

  • i love the part when he yells get me out of here.

  • @geekyt4 Let me out of hear i had to type it in on google to find out what he was saying but i thought it was get me out of here! :') such a peng song cant wait to learn it

  • Simplemente esta Hermosa sin palabras

  • We listen to radiohead because we know how society works and were sad about it.

  • @tencr4z could be one reason...

  • No alarms and no surprises, please..

    Silent!

    <3

  • 44 personas no tienen corazon ni gustoo por la buena musica.. esta cancion es de las mejoores!

  • One of the best pieces of music of the 20th cen. Even if Thom wasn't the love of my life, I would still be listening to No Surprises over and over as I have been since OK Computer was released. (I used to be glued to the TV when the Karma Police video was on MTV!)

    BEST SONG EVER!!!

  • i thought this was gonna be a video of sombody playing a cover version...I'm glad its not.

  • thanks to house m.d. i found this song :)

  • He has the voice of an angel :)

  • Con un piano y una guitarra se puede hacer una cancion que te atraviese como un rayo. Espero que escuchen esto alguna de estas banditas que pululan. Fantastico

  • jea..good song

  • I listened to this song in Art class in high school and I'm 31, almost every day. It was amazing every time.

  • this is my favorite live version of no surprises, it's heartbreaking

  • @binder673 - I think Gallagher's cried if they read your comment... :D

  • @chalo79pm haha man this comment really cracked me up xD

  • @aholden12592 i'm sure karma police fked this doctor up by now.

  • @masterconman31 because when you play a song like this, and especially if you wrote it yourself. I'm sure it almost feels like a drug. you go in to another world. just look at how his eyes are closed most of the time when he plays live.

  • demasiada bellleza....

  • OYAOY ποσο ομορφο??

  • im not an expert of music, iam onlly 18 and all that, but radiohead is different

  • This video deserves every view and more.

  • The fact that 43 people dislike this song is both alarming and surprising.

  • 43 people are fuckin stupid.

  • Amazing :)

  • @binder673 better than mccartney not quite as good as lennon...

  • Get me out of here...

  • Well, Johnny played the piano and Thom sang and played acoustic, no surprises there.

  • I hope Radiohead plays when its my time to go.

  • @AliciaTrecourt me too

  • This is absaloutly amazing! Radiohead are really up there with the greatest musicians ever!

  • no suprises

  • Does he say hamshake at 1:35?

  • Anyone know where i can get the sheet music for this version ?( piano)

  • For a second, I felt like I was Thom Yorke, with my eyes shut, singing this song with this beautiful piano following me. Nice sensation.

  • This song could have been written for my husband. I cannot believe it. De ja vu?

  • this is the only song that can make me ball like a girl lol

  • i just keep coming back to this vid!

  • Hauntingly beautiful. Radiohead's songs can stick with you for life.

  • el piano esta desafinado o me parece a mi?

Igual, excelente tema, y mejor grupo.

  • this song is not about suicide...check out yorkes interviews

  • @peteforce tom may not admit this song is about suicide, but it is undoubtably about offing yourself. the lyrics speak for themselves, "ill take the quiet life, a handshake of carbon monoxide"-suicide "this is my final fit, my final belly-ache"-last thoughts

  • @chuckusseb07 It's not about suicide in my opinion. It's about accepting a mediocre life with "no alarms and no surprises" If there are undertones of suicide they are metaphorical.

  • For the 43 dislikes -- lick my radioactive balls - CAUSE YOU SUCK EM!

  • To the 43 dislikes - like my radioactive balls!

  • great version

  • WTF! justin bieber suggestion video??

  • Fantastic

  • HOW THA FUCK CAN PEOPLE NOT LIKE THIS!!!

    GOD DAMN!!

  • One of my fave Radiohead songs :D

  • My dad commited suicide last year by gassing himself with carbon monoxide whilst this was my favourite song. I still love it, means an awful lot. Long live Radiohead :)

  • @sparkleyxo damn..

  • @sparkleyxo I'm sorry for your loss, this and Street Spirit are my favourite songs by them as well. My friend killed herself when I was a teenager, and I've had several people that are close to me attempt suicide. I'm no stranger to immense pain so I don't judge anyone, there's always a reason why people do things. Whether or not this song is indeed about suicide or not is a mystery that only Thom knows the answer to. The book No Fear, No Death by Thich Nhat Hanh really helped me deal with loss

  • I want to go to their concert! arghh!

  • search in youtube keyword "Singular - Long (Try)"

they copied intro from this song

  • @IThardcore

what?? they don't even use the same chords

  • this song falls form heaven:)

  • bring down the government, they don't speak for us.

  • Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood are the new Lennon and McCartney

  • @binder673

    except they are not

  • @binder673 except that Thom would never put something like "twist and shout" on a record, and Jonny's not going to stretch his face to look like an old lesbian :P

  • @binder673 They are great, but don't even kid yourself. Most people haven't even heard of Mr. Greenwood sadly.

  • @binder673

    Only Better

  • @binder673 if Lennon and McCartney had produced about 100 less great songs. - Just saying. These guys are good. But they're not epic and don't look like they are going to get there. Lennon and McCartney are Epic.

  • @OswaldvonWolkenstein lol actually radiohead has been together far longer than the beatles were

  • @youdbettertube So has Peaches and Herb - that doesn't mean anything here and the point was Lennon and McCartney and musical output and cultural impact. But don't take my word from it - ask York and Greenwood if they don't think comparing them to Lennon and McCartney is a bit asinine.

  • @OswaldvonWolkenstein thank you

  • @binder673 They are thousand times better

  • @binder673 A very tall order! But agreed!

  • @binder673 its funny XD. im pretty sure if thom and jonny read this they would probably say. no were not. were thom and jonny not anything else.

  • @binder673 but better...

  • @binder673 no, no, no, no please dont say stupids words, radiohead is a great band but dont compares with Lenon and Mc Cartney they were the Beatles please think before write

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ruedasso tellement exact!!!!!

  • BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO REASON TO COMPARE WITH BEATLES RADIOHEAD, RADIOHEAD IS MUCH BETTER

  • @pinchestupidez OMG I HAVE A TWIN!

  • @ruedasso That's just your opinion. some people think the beatles are so overrated.

  • Its a fact, most of the dislikes of videos like this are by accident... I love radiohead, an di just disliked the video ): Now i feel dirty D:

  • radiohead is legendary

  • Good...

  • chills down my spine always

  • @greendayprab High and Dry, Talk Show Host.

  • @EpicNinjaGuy123 Thom hates High and Dry :p he was pressured into releasing it as a single by the record company, because it would sell the best.

  • Gosh. What's not to like about this? =.=

  • the name of this concert?

    i want this concert XD

  • @pitatown Live @ Le Reservoir, I guess.

  • not a single song in this world can b more beautiful than this song:)

  • I heard the Regina Spektor version first, and it lead me here. Both are achingly beautiful. :)

  • greatest band of all time

  • this song is so great. its sad when i'm sad, and happy when i'm happy. long live radiohead.

  • @ninjakitty88 well, all i could say this is Radiohead's charm.

  • @ninjakitty88 that is so true, mind=blown

  • @ninjakitty88 It is always peaceful for me and it makes me think about my life.

  • @ninjakitty88 this song is kinda funny. the music itself is fantastic, but the lyrics are depressing(not saying they're bad)

  • @ninjakitty88 fuck yeah dude

  • @qvrnc565 I don't usually argue with wums, so this is the end of it for everyone elses pleasure.

But if I see you in the pub I will knock you from pillar to post like I would with any perv & racist. Bye.

  • my geography teachers wife work friend loves next door to Thom Yorke that is sooo fucking cool i wish i was that dude >:(

  • you know sometimes I wish they had a button for Love this... I mean sure you can put it on your favorites... but where's the Love Button, lol... eh what are you gonna do huh... just gotta be happy with what's there for now...

  • think there listening too tis in egypt

  • @qvrnc565 Iinternet warriors appear every so often, so I'm not going to let you wind me up.

They usually live with their mums, have small appendages & stuff.

  • @arch1003 dont you talk about my gimpy arm, you insensitive prick!

  • No alarms and no surprises, such a wonderful song, lyric, and melody.

Dare i say it i might enjoy this as much as the version on the record.

  • I have the same feelings

  • this chat is a fucking warfare

  • @xmotoFF yeah hey whatsup bitch, you wanna go?

  • does anyone know if there's a way to put this on repeat? i'm not on youtube enough to know. plus this is the most beautiful song ever.

  • @qvrnc

Not only a pervert but a nazi as well?

I hope for the sake of the human race you are one of those chimps tapping wildy at a keyboard trying to prove the theory that a chimp could type the whole volume of Shakespeare by random keyboard use given enough time!

  • @arch1003 you have the subtlety and the conversational repertoire of a 12 year old. kill yourself.

  • @qvrnc565

I hope you don't live within 10 miles of children.

    sicko.

  • @arch1003 youre a nigger

  • awesome band...

if u like Radiohead, u might wanna try : Watermind - "Not Again"

    P.S: Thom Yorke is a freakin´genius!!!

  • 40 people have a heart thats full up like a landfill.
