My friend killed herself when I was a teenager, and I've had several people that are close to me attempt suicide. I'm no stranger to immense pain so I don't judge anyone, there's always a reason why people do things. Whether or not this song is indeed about suicide or not is a mystery that only Thom knows the answer to. The book No Fear, No Death by Thich Nhat Hanh really helped me deal with loss
