  • Talk of devotional music. The lyrics are so appealing and R&G's music is exalting.

  • Awesome

  • This is DIVINE. Each time I hear them, they seem to have improved by leaps and bounds. In discussing rendition there is point in talking about 'Strength'. As aptly put by one DKP is full of Bhakthi while MS is full of Karuna. Both are TOPS. The sisters seem to blend both. May God bless them with years of contented life.

  • Great music piece from Smt Ranjani and Gayatri duo! This music was smoothing to the ears and mind and I listened to this music regularly. I pray the great Almighty to give Rajnjani and Gayatri and her music crew the best of everything in life and happiness and bring more and more like this to people like us. By the way, where I can buy the CD or DVD of "The Best of Ranjani and Gayatri"? Thank you for posting it!

  • Amazing mRdangam accompaniment from Arun Prakash

  • Very nice. I wish I understood the language. Really enjoyed listening them.

  • it is worth hearing , who so ever sings

  • very nice. superb

  • It is really amazing...

  • When I was 7, I read a story about a sishya named Sarangan and guru's daughter named Brinda. They were in love. Together they sang this song. Guru demanded and received his dakshinai - treat my daughter as your sister. Made me curious. Then heard MSS singing this divine song in a concert and I became an admirer of her and Karnataka sangeetham.

  • The singing and the lyrics (phonology) are outstanding. This coming from a flaming atheist! I guess music has no boundaries. Vrindavana Saranga is one of my favorite ragas.

  • This is a woderful piece by R&G no matter how many time I hear it it is never enough God Bless these sisters

  • this keerthana make me home sick, I used to listen this from my near by temple everyday morning during my school days, really I shead tears when I listen this.

  • hey guys i heard vishaka hari give explanation to this song...it's not abt ranganatha...but rama..there is a rama temple in sri rangam...it seems he is worshipped as a devotee of ranganatha..and lord ranganatha enquires about him and says may all luck be yours kodanda rama...that is how this song has been set! awesome na..our music is so deep...

  • Very soothing and emotionally uplifting!!

  • Good night sweet prince, may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. (Hamlet). Maybe the journey to heaven will sung sweet by divine asparas such as these!

  • actuallly i like mss, mlv and aruna sairam sing this...but vishaka hari has sung it the best...u shud listen to her....it's like actually visiting rama in sri rangam

  • lil slow beat

  • Man, I am spell bound by this perofrmance. I have heard this from MS, MLV, Sudha Raghunathan but this one has kept me mesmerized . Each time I listen to this song, I feel I am standing right in front me Sri Ranga. May god bless them for ever.

  • The song is sung well. But I wish the coordination of Mridangam and Gatam could have been better. It looks like they are playing on their own without synching to the song.

  • wat a singing! really amazing. recently i listened their concert during margazhi festival telecasted in vijay TV. May god Bless them with a long life and health to sing sing sing and make all people enjoy their music.

  • Namaste ~ Hari Om Tat Sat ~ Sub Ek:

Thank You dearest sisters... always bringing us such wonders... Jai Jai Hanuman... Jai Jai Sri Baba Ram Dass!

  • Wonderful singing. I would like to hear them sing "Nambi keettavar evaraiyya"

Does anybody have this for uploading?

  • the best i've ever listened to after amma's masterpiece

  • It brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to these sisters and I do hear very often indeed. God bless the young artistes and the team.

    Mukund

  • I think there are two school of rangapura viharas, both equally regal in their rendition...one is the DKP style and one the MSS style (strictly my opinions after hearing both several times over)...R&G's rendition resembles a lot with DKP style...For me, DKP's style of ranhapura vihara brings out a lot of bhakti...and MSS' style a lot of karuna...ofcourse stellar in their own ways!

  • can u please let me know where can i get to listen to MSS's version..

I have heard it on an audio tape, but i haven't been able to find it online

  • Fully agree. It is one of the most difficult choices to make - which one to listen to if u can listen to only one!

Each is an unparalleled classic in its own right.

  • one of the best renditions of this beautiful krithi.. arun prakash sir has done a wonderful job here too.. just the right amount and kind of accompaniment..

  • just what i needed

    they are singing like

    no one else on this

    planet

  • what a delightful and pleasing performance. Thanks for posting it.

  • Its not just a blind copy of the MS's rendition. The improvisations introduced are fantastic. Hats off! This is superbly talented trio.

    Great music.

  • These sisters are defintely the vocal music stars of the 21st century. The others to keep in mind are Radha Jayaluxmy, and Priya sisters. Does anybody not agree?

  • u stole my words. they r defenetely class apart. i would like to add sirgazhi govindarajan also. I am yet to find one singer who can bring out the bhakti bhavam the way he did.

  • I used to think that no one can sing a song of MS even with a semblence of that divinity. Hats off to Ranjani gayatri. They have excelled Ranga pura vihara. I think this is their way of tribute to the great MS. Subhalaxmi

  • Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. No other words to say.

  • Superbe song,Can listen for hours,it helps the mind to make you relax & forget every thing around you, Thank you for the song & thanks to youtube for making it posible.
