  • The longer this goes on, the worse it sounds. It starts well, but by 2.30 it's almost falling apart.

  • Rainbow at Butlins in Skegness!! How the mighty have fallen! As Alan Partidge would say " Saaaaaad"!

  • Speaking as a huge Rainbow fan, I guess it could be worse. I'd probably pay to see it, just to hear the songs again.

I totally understand why some fans don't like it, but being a musician myself I have some sympathy for these guys & the project as a whole - you gotta make a living, one way or another... At least they were all (apart from Blackmore - ironically) in the band at some time. And I gotta say, sometimes JR sounds just a little bit like his dad - just a little. Fucking big shoes tho.

  • He sings like David Coverdale! Listen!

  • @OFR Not even close.

  • spinal tap

  • Yes, I agree that Joe is awesome. But I can never forget Ronnie James Dio's original recording. It still gives me chills.

  • I wanna hear Rob Halford sing the damn song now! RIP RJD \m/ \m/ The Stargazer has caught the rainbow and has found eternity!

  • @Legionbass19 Rob Halford is amazing. But he can't do Dio songs, it doesn't sound good at all. Check out Sabbath bootlegs with Halford to hear what I mean.

  • I think this is awesome! JLT sings about 1000 times better now than when he was part of the real Rainbow. This song is very hard to do justice live. Even Dio's live version from 1983 doesn't come anywhere close to the original studio recording. I think they do a great job here!

  • Sorry, but this is stupid... Joe Lynn Turner making money with songs he didn't even write himself and has no credits for. Please Joe, in respect for Ronnie James Dio, stay sticked to the Joe Lynn Turner - Rainbow era. Because this two incarnations are so immense different... This feels so very wrong, sorry.

  • good work gentlemen if l may criticize a little bit ....it is a watered down version .....34 years later anyone who plays this song should enhance it not water it down

  • i would like to see ripper owens singing this song...

  • Dio did this song much better I think.. Then again you have got to give credit to JLT (who is a great vocalist) for doing dio/bonnet songs.. To him it was obvious to do songs from all eras - doogies great era as well.. And JLT does a good job of it, I think.

  • dio is much better!

  • Great!!! what a pity the sound quality is bad:(

  • Jurgen, that's the Mother Of All Wrong Notes at 4.42... Poor bastard doesn't stand a chance really. Ritchie fans are gonna be listening too closely... that said Ritchie himself has played his fair share of clangers but perhaps not as blatantly as that one heh heh...

  • @andrewcx24 I don't know whether it is the same as the original or not, but all the notes fit there quite well. Sorry, but I just can't hear anything cacophonic there. Nevertheless Ritchie is Ritchie (or was)...

  • It isn't Over the Rainbow. They should call Under the Rainbow or Rainbow in the Dark. It's very pity. Ritchie and Ronnie will always be No.1

  • kick ass vocals!!

  • wrong lyrics!!!

  • Bye Linn and others. DIO, look, man, they're trying to copy you...lol

  • Great cover!!! Great vocals by Joe Lynn Turner and awesome guitar work by Ritchie Blackmore' s son, Jurgen. Of course, no one will ever sing this like our Ronnie!! Thank you Alex!!!

  • So true...very good, but of couse, not as great as our Ronnie! \,,/O_O\,,/

  • NO ONE is as great as our Ronnie!!!

  • @ckc1958 You're absolutly right, but you gotta admit Joe is pretty damn good.

  • great performane and good vocal work from joe. Even though not as good as ronnie's version it still rocks /,,//,,/

  • well said :) /,,/ /,,/

  • I hope they come to the UK, I think they missed a trick by not getting Graham Bonnet envolved and splitting vocal duties!

  • JLT&Co, thank you for this great music. So we can t have Ritchie but we have Jurgen. I M huge Rainbow fan from Finland, wellcome to Helsinki.

  • Doin' a Fine job! Cheers

  • you fucking motherfuckers the band is awesome but they shouldnt play songs from Dio's age

  • Comment removed

  • Hey...hat a stupid guy gave us minus? If you don't want to listen this project, please, just stay away! I like this band, many others too. So get lost, you, haters!

  • couple of B-grade musicians and C grade vocalist trying to make another bucks by ruining Rainbow's reputation???

    they suck...

JLT, you'd better to open some bank-account and we'll borrow you some bucks if you're bankrupt, but please, don't ruin Rainbow's reputation and STOP!!!

  • +1

    Totally agree with your words

  • haha, turner is a great singer. Thats why Ritchie chose him to sing in Rainbow, as he chose coverdale, hughes, dio, Bonnet, Doogie white. Besides, he is the voice of AOR. Probably he is more suitable with that genre, but he is doing a great job here. Ritchie Blackmore, for people who dont know is the father of the guy thats playing the guitar and he agrees this project.

Listen Daddy borther little boy from Mr big with turner and malmsteen, he sings in a rocker way there.

  • These guys are great !!!

  • excellent version, LONDON CALLING.!!!!!!!

  • Why are they playing "Since you

ve been gone" and not "Stone Cold"

  • BADD ASS!

  • My lord!.....J.R. has got some style, tone and licks that make me think of classic Richie....Joe Lynn awesome!...great to see and hear.
