I agree with the CAFS attack, my department has been using CAFS since 1995, also placed it on our 2001 pumper tanker. Our non - qualified interior members have on numerous occassions have placed a CAFS line through the window for a quick knocked down, while our qualified interior is donning an air pack, saving the home owner thousands of dollars in fire damage. Wish the insurance companies would notice this fire fighting technolgy.

Just a thought... I have been using CAFS very successfully on this type of fire for nearly fifteen years.
It may be hard to believe, but an transitional attack from the exterior with less than 50 gallons (total CAFS)may have knocked this fire down in less than 10 seconds. Then it is just a matter of extending the same line upstairs and mopping up. In many cases, the first floor has NO water damage. Amazing but true! Stay Safe.

The guys I work with call it VOODOO firefighting, because even after dozens of structure fires, it is still hard to believe how fast CAFS knocks down a fire.
Seriously, it almost takes the fun out of figthing fire.
