  • hmm smedass! What you call a hammered dulcimer is a "morisca", which comes from the word for morish in Spanish, that is, moro, it is mostly and arabic-morish tradition instrument from Andalucia, I don't see the celtic connection clearly, although, it must be said that for music of the hesperias of 900-1700 all instruments and traditions from the monotheistic beliefs are connected.
