Some 47cc engines will put out more power because they have reeds and some 49cc don't use reeds, they use a skirt. Also you can mod a 49cc engine to out out 15hp. At my racing track they have under 50cc open and there's one guy there that has tested his bike and its supposed to put out 14.03hp.

Glad to see helmet, knee pads, elbow pads...but you should get gloves and a leather jacket kid...I used to race go karts and trust me you will not regret them!..and don't let anyone put you down for wearing the safety stuff kid, they think their cool until their in the hospital! My friend used to ride dirtbike with no shirt or gloves-then he crashed on pavement and peeled the skin off his fingers and shoulders!(ouch!)now he wears full safety gear. :)
