While she's pleasent to look at, she's no Harley Feinstein! Do Re Mi was written for spectacular drum playing. Harleys drums sounded like a train was coming!
Sparks were so brutal this period... Disagree? Look at Angst night at the recent Sparks marathon in london. They will never ever ever play these songs like this ever again and with great reason.
Not to defend anything, but if this was shot on the cologne concert we attended, maybe it was in part due to the 1 1/2 hour waiting 'soundtrack' by Edith Piaf chansons before;-)
VERY, lewys93; now I only wish amazon could do what they deny me here for the last 5 weeks (to finally just DELIVER that preordered CD, never figured it could be THAT hard in that kind of business:-/)
Coming to think of it: A prayer ANSWERED?! Wow... a FIRST;-)!
When I first heard this in 1972 (man, am I dating myself) I knew I was in the company of genius. They have not lost it - faltered here and there - but they still have it. The break in the middle is as sharp as ever and still fresh. I would have mixed with "Beat the Clock" rather than "Angst," but who am I?
Great, great performance. I miss the drummer, it´s the first time I see a drummer dance and she´s well dressed for the occation. Read in a comment that her name is Christi Hayden. Wish Sparks could have both Christi and Tammy then I would have my cake and it it too :-) . Oh and the Maels are lovely, lovely, lovely.
Actually, her name is Christie Haydon. I'm a big fan of Star Trek: The next generation and I was astonished when I found out that she had been an extra on that show several times!
I absolutely adore this performance. Russel sings "Angst in my pants" in such a cute way, Ron is WORKING that synthesizer and Christie makes me smile with her jumping around. I could loop this all day.
GENIALLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
