I've been awaiting a refund for over THREE MONTHS! Just spoke with Vivek (yes, Indian) for 30mins, explaining 5X that I purchased 10-5-11 & sent in every required doc less than 2wks later. Yet, he continued to say, "You must get refund in 60 days." Beyond stupid to be unable to grasp even the basics of the conversation. I read him from copies I'd made of everything, but he was like a robot repeating a mantra.

Their web site is HORRIBLE, and purposefully designed to be convoluted and evasive. Worst fucking customer service ever. Tried getting a refund and was transferred from one agent to another. Each tried to sell me more product. I even had a Norton tech try to help and SHE got frustrated.

So I got the inside story from her. You WILL NOT get a refund without getting a runaround and spending at least several hours on the phone speaking with a 3rd party company in India. HORRID!!!

Indeed. My brother stupidly bought Norton for our first good home computer back in 2000. That thing stored up viruses and spyware on its sweeps, and then when the subscription ran out, it released them all and wouldn't clean them back up again. Like the one random ass day we ran out on our subscription, and the next day 500 popups straight the hell outta nowhere.

He told me I have the trial version installed even though I paid for the whole year which he verified. He continued to tell me that he could have someone log on to my computer and fix it for a fee. I myself had the same problem, I had a virus. I had norton that was supposed to catch it, customer service said they can fix it remotely for $100. Except in my case I told them to go screw themselves. I called a friend that fixes computers for a living. He comes over, loads malware bytes and does a disc cleanup and charges me $30. No problems since then, just have to do a scan every now and then. My own way of giving the stone cold 2 finger salute to norton

Norton is sleazy. They have no accountability and just want to make money off people by forcing themselves onto every new computer. I'm never using them again. Can fool some ppl some of the time, but you can't fool all the ppl all the time. They don't let you get a refund either. exactly. If you get a virus you can't get rid of, just reinstall everything. I keep getting a packed.generic.200 message and it will not go away! Norton couldn't get rid of it, so I've used malwarebytes and superantispyware to catch all viruses. Even these programs couldn't delete the viruses, I downloaded a separate registry editing program to manually delete the reg keys, and yet norton is still giving me this virus message though no virus program detects the virus.

I have had trouble contacting them too, but by the sound of things that still won't make it easy. In my case, my Norton Antivirus won't update, despite the fact I'm paying for it. And like you, the Help pages just don't help...
