  • In my opinion, this was the most wonderful female singer in the world in country.

She always acted so regal, perfect lady, gorgeous, lovely voice.

Too bad she endured such hard times alot of her life and taken from us many many years too soon.

    Love her!!

I agree that those skip ads prior to the songs are very irritating. Can it be stopped forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????????

  • You know, those fucking pre-video ads are ruining this service. I don't want to skip ads - I don't want to see them full-stop.

  • I hate this manic shit

  • THIS IS MY SHIT

  • Tammy is w/out a doubt THE greatest female country Singer!

  • What a fine singer indeed! She was just wonderful and so very lovely!

  • There is something in that voice, no one else has it.

  • what a voice she had

    thanks for sharing

  • Perfection at it's best..I can leave this world a happy man for knowing Tammy, and as far as I am concerned there will Never Be another Tammy... Thank-you livingadream2 for posting such a great video

  • OMG THIS SONG IS SO ANTIFEMINIST IT MAKES ME THROW UP

  • @MrThuglifegangsta69 It can also be sung by a man. You just don't know what it feels like to have to lean on someone after it's all over. It's painful and TW says so beautifully. Lose the tude and get a heart.

  • I'm living this right now. And I opened for her back in 1977. Imagine what a song would do to someone who was there in Nashville and now living every line and lyric. And I can't tell anyone why.

  • @Roscoe I think that was a sarcastic Who is Patsy in the context of Patsy who in comparison to Tammy... I would pray they know who Patsy is lol

  • Absolutely beautiful voice. No other like it!

  • Hr197 are you Kidding? Who is Patsy??? That is a very touching song and oh yeah, what a voice.

  • Hr197 are you Kidding? Who is Patsy???

  • one of the most beautiful songs ever. Miss Wynette"s talent was limitless.

  • She was one of my favorite singers. Her and George.

  • i love her so much.

i wish she were still here with us

  • Man I sure do miss her.

  • Awesome tribute to my name sake! although my nickname is Nette not Nettie! and my Wynnette is with 2 n's! She was a remarkable woman!

  • In the duets with George - 'One' and 'Ilusive Dreams', her expression is unmatched. So is George's. Two of the best ever in any genre of music singing together. 30 years later, they still sound fresh, ever-new, better than the present-day singers. Incredible. A miracle of nature.

  • This is her best solo song. None can sing it better. None has ever had such a singular and appealing voice. Nor so much feeling. This was the Golden Age of American music. The words are simple but unequaled in meaning.

  • Love this bittersweet song. Thanks for putting it up!

  • Aah, this song is very special to me, wow I love the photos, what a beautiful woman she was, xxx

  • As the writer of "Being Gone" thanks so much for your kind words.

    Bobby Keel

  • I'm going through a divorce after 29 years of marriage; no song expresses my feelings better; and thanks to my soon-to-be -ex for letting me lean on him "til I can make it on my own."

  • There is nothing like the classics. Country music today is fine but they can't tell a story like those great singers from the past. Yes Loretta, Kitty, Patsy and the rest are all great as well but when Tammy sings, theres just something about it. It's like you are right there with her, feeling her pain, and her joy. People can relate better to the singers of the past, at least those my age and older (40's)

  • Trying to get over my husband of 24 years. This song hits home for me as I am in so much pain. I wish he would let me keep in touch with him until I can make it on my own...but he is with someone else.

    Thank-you Tammy for your gift.

    Thanks for uploading this video.

  • @devilledangel i am also going through a divorce after 29 years; no song says it better; and I am "still using him" til I can make it on my own.

  • beautiful,just beautiful!

  • Beautiful song........her voice really makes me cry.

  • A Great Song.

This was the first in the ranking of CountrySong in 1976, like many her beautiful songs during other years, before and after '76. [ One among all : "Stand by Your Man " ].

    Grazie

  • my love is never ending. you know what i am saying.

  • WHAT A VOICE SHE HAD FIVE STARS

  • Bobbewho......There will NEVER BE, Another Tammy Wynette, I LOVED HER THEN AND I LOVE HER NOW , she was truly, the '' First Lady In Country Music...

  • Fantastic song by a Fantastic lady. She is missed, but her music lives on.

  • does anyone know where i can find you and me with her singing ALL verses..ADORE HER..

  • ...tammy and patsy were the best in the golden age of country music..!

  • Absolutely beautiful! There will never be another like her. Tammy, Dolly, Loretta--they are all in a league all their own!

Anyone else notice how much Faith Hill resembles Tammy? I never realized how much til this video.

  • There's no female country singer who can stand in the same spotlight as

    Tammy!

  • How about Emmylou Harris?

  • @reddirtgirl55 She's good too w/out a doubt but, Tammy is my favorite.

  • Yes I love them both as well. I think this song was Tammys best. I have a broken heart and it seems to fit the pain. Happy New Year!!

  • I loved the sweetness..sadness...tenderness of her amazing voice....I have listened to her since childhood...left Virginia many years ago but she brings me back to my country past in a heartbeat....god bless her.

  • She was such a GREAT LADY!!!!!!!!!!! I really miss her alot.

  • I am living this song right now. I met someone perfect for me and now circumstances are keeping us apart. " Let me keep on using you till I can make it on my own" God love you Tammy Wynette for this song

  • Beautiful Song..I've always loved it...THE VIDEO IS ALSO BEAUTIFUL!!!! Thank you for "the Memories"!

  • Tammy Wynette is my all time favorite female vocalist. Her music has gotten me through some tough times. Her music identifies with the trials many women go through in life and love.

  • wow what a lady loved her music i grew up in the mountains of WV country music was all I ever heard

  • Wow she is absolutely beautiful in the 2: 50 picture. It's a shame that God took this lady away when i was was just 6 years old and now that I'm 18 i have no other country singer to listen to because Tammy you are still the Queen of country. This should have been our High School senior song. I love you Tammy. This song is the best, I can't stop hearing it on my Mp3 player. May you rest in peace Tammy.

  • Everyone else stands in her shadow.

    RIP Tammy

    xo Canada

  • Thanks for keeping Tammy's memory alive. It has been 11 years the 6th of April that she was taken from us. I still miss her.May she rest in peace

  • still pertinent today, especially for me...thanks....

  • thanks for posting this - just beautiful x

  • I miss you Tammy.

Like a tear rolling down my face, The dream has fadded away.

  • Why is it, that even today, with so many beautiful, well written, well sung, love songs, you always come back to this song, this lady. you know she understands what this moment is all about.

  • Surely I will wake up some day & see the morning sun.........what more can you want when you are in pain over a breakup & begin to live your life again? Such a hurting song.

  • That it is......thanks for listening!

  • @loye44 she is the very best

  • Loved Tammy, used to love this song when i was 18, she was such a beautiful singer, the voice of an angel.

  • Very nicely put! Thanks for listening!

  • @livingadream2 thank you from my heart as well. Tammy and I go way back, even when I was rocking to Black Sabbath and Alice Cooper, Tammy singing How Great Thou Art, or Stand by Your Man, could always grab my attention. Such power has never been equaled, male or female.

  • there is no doubt Patsy is #1

    but who is #2........

    listen to this.....

    this proves it

  • Who is Patsy???

Sorry, but it's not open for debate; Tammy was, NO, IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE, the First Lady Of Country Music.

"Today I'll come to see you; place a spray of roses where you lay. Your being here gave so much more than your being gone could ever take away"

  • So very well put! Thank you so much for stopping by!

  • ivingdream2,

Thank you for the compliment but, if you mean my comment "Your being here gave so much more than your being gone could ever take away", I cannot take the credit for that. Those are words from Tammy's song "Being Gone" (which makes me cry every time I hear it!).

  • @HR197 If Patsy Cline had lived longer, I they would have made a great duet.

  • Greetings,

    Great choice 5*****

    Marie

  • I'm glad you like it! Thanks for stopping by and the rating!

  • did tammy write all of her songs?

  • Tammy did write plenty of her own songs but she also sang songs written by others. Her first song was Apartment No.9 written by Bobby Austin and Johnny Paycheck. She wrote this one in 1976. The year following her divorce with George Jones.

  • gosh i love this lady, one of the greatest

  • Art is always and individual thing...all the Ladies livingdream2 named are tremendous artists with their own unique style. Tammy has been one of my favorites for years...but so has Patsy, Loretta, Kitty...and several others.

  • Thank you!

  • Saw her in Austin, TX in 1991. What a tremendous performer she was. She brought down the house with this song. She is sorely missed.

  • She surely is! Thanks for listening!

  • Great Lady, Great Song

  • " The best voice to ever sing in Nashville "

  • Kind of hard to agree. I agree to the most part of it but then there was or is Patsy Cline, Kitty Wells, Loretta Lynn. All unique in their own ways.

  • My comment is my opinion and you are entitled to yours!

  • I agree with Bil1228, she is the best.
