Andy and Maggie's confrontation is a great example of 'less is more' regarding profanity. I think Andy's F word may be the only one in the series? It becomes a much more powerful word when the only time you hear it is during a fight between two good friends.

I think some of us men who have a platonic relationship with a special woman in their lives can relate to this series, i have this, no I'm not gay... The role was originally intended for Leonardo De Caprio, but he was unavailable. So the part was re-written for Orlando Bloom, who agreed to step in. Gervais has said he hoped people wouldn't notice the poster of Bloom on Maggie's wall in this episode as she wasn't supposed to like him.
