To go to that world you need to unlock de central star in the star road .... in the number 5 ... you need yo kick the yellow box and turn it to the right and then press the P and you must have a cape and fly ... if you activate all the switches palaces you can do it .. in the final it's the key witch the another thing ...

I just checked on the internet that you have to beat all the levels plus all the levels in star world (Both secret/key goal and normal goal) to get the Gold Star 96. So that means you'll have a Blue 96 if you beat it WITHOUT beating all the star world levels the NORMAL ALSO!

i think, Cychreus finished all 96 levels BEFOR beating Browser

thats the reason for the star

if you find the last 3 ones, you also will have a star

The gold star stands for having all the yoshi coin collected in each level, on the GBA version there is this special menu which tells you which levels you have completed so far, so good luck! ;)

i think the way to get a 100 is to get all 5 yoshi coins in all the levels becouse if you enter after geting all the yoshi coins you see that in the up-left part of the screen where the yoshi coins is counted there are all and you dont have to collect them again....but im to lazy-busy to do it so I wish luck to the one who has that much free time XD

There is not a 100. Is just 96*. About the question, idk, but I'm pretty sure is the uk version the blue one. All my life I played the usa version and always got it 96*

You have to beat the ENTIRE game within 6 hours non stop! You must complete all levels and not not get a game over!(Hint: Get 99 lives and complete all stages including the secret ones!) You cannot turn off your SNES while doing this. I HAVE DONE THIS!

Yea on my version it is blue, its most definitely 96 blue on the European Pal version, and star 96 on the NTSC version. I dont know why they did it like that seems really pointless. Maybe that did the star for NTSC to represent the star and strips, and the blue for Pal to represent the European Union!

i got all lvls and ways and all beat bowser through both back and front door reset the game saved and i got 95 help

wait i had to do star lvls normal way done only the secret exit now i got 96 but not blue just gold without a star

you have to beat all the levels...the ones with redspaces have more than one ending you have to do all those..plus both endings on star road to unlock that speacial place thennn you gotta beat bowswer...leave the blue and red switches un pressed untill you beat bowser throught either the front or back dooor and then watch the credits and then reset and then load and do the switches and save and reset and BOOYA! gold96with a star

i finished with about 30 lives and got the star.

i reckon it's just the version of the game that you have.
