The very fact that you need a word like "legit" to be in quotes is a strong indication that there can be no exhaustive, authoritative definition that makes finding the definition and answering under it remotely worthwhile.
My best on the obstacle course is 1:58.332, and I've seen 1:38s which might even have improved by now.
For one, it's _seven hundred fifty_ thousand points, not _seventy-five_ thousand; the former is an extremely tough target to hit any other way. As well, you don't even have to "waste" much time at all: just wrap the cord tightly around the A button, or use any other method of holding it down, and you're free to walk away after the stall is set up.
And to get much better it takes a freak shot like launching up the conveyor belt in track 2, flying across the stage, and landing in stall position. That takes a lot longer to get right, certainly more than I was wanting to take on a one-off novelty video like this.
@SadisticMystic HATERS GONNA HATE. I blew so much time trying to get points the "legit" way- and that was on an emulator so I could make the controls anything I wanted. I understand that this is a good way to get points if you just want to progress.....
On 1 it's tricky. You have to use one of the small blue ramps to launch into the outer perimeter all while keeping your balance and landing in stall position at just the right spot.
On 2 you can either use the curved plateau to the right of start, launching you into a corner, you can can run off the starting ramp and hope for the crapshoot that you hit the far wall in a stall.
3 is full of odd terrain so just explore all possible walls and see what you can hit.
The 10-day run was a separate occurrence from this 20-minute run. After the timer hits 0:00, the game keeps going until you reach a point where all four wheels have landed on the ground. In that case, the car was stuck in midair and that occurrence never happened.
On this track using the narrow slot upstairs you can get into it via a twist and get three stunt types before the jam, twenty minutes later it wiggles its way out and you get 750000 points. As it counts the points after you 'land' it can continue for a while after time-out, jamming it their with a second car it slowly taps out to escape (longer rubber banding the brake) this results in a multi hour air-time and my record so far - 29 million points. I love finding loopholes in this game.
I never considered using a second player to hold off the landing, though finding the right position for the longest possible finite obstruction seems difficult. This video shows the simplest wall stall, not the highest-scoring. I do remember a strange occurrence while attempting to stall on track 3, such that time ran out and my car was floating in the air. I left my N64 on, but the car never landed, and after about 10 days (which would be 43 million points) the AC adapter finally burned out.
I left it on as long as I could, hoping that I would eventually land and cash in on the huge trick score. It really was on for 10 days, and only stopped because the AC adapter burned out.
There are a few slots gaps and curves that are shorter than car length that you can wedge the car in to get hours long air time before it waddles out, using another car extends that to many hours more. My mileage is a little over 219 million but that was due to escaping from Marina backwards into null-pace and getting a total mileage of lots+1 and a final parts award of ' ' which is to say blank or nothing resulting in the last car setup being default standard with no upgrade options left.
Fuck off captainkroo64 I don't care who beat the Gauntlet course faster, I was saying that I just did a Wall Stall today with the same car although it was in a race track (Marina). How I did it? Spun outta control and hit a wall on my front wheels
holy cow I need to try that lol. hey on race track 2 the one with the lava lamps have you gotten all 8 gold coins in that one. I can't find the last two and I've looked really good for them.
I see you've posted this question on GameFAQs as well. I do have all the coins, and if you want them, maybe you should try reading the FAQ (that's why it's called GameFAQs). I don't know which ones you're missing, but the FAQ lists them all.
What's with everyone badmouthing this? Rush 2049's unlocks are way more deserving of grinding than S.F. Rush or Rush 2's mainly key-based unlocks.

dunno about the whole legit thing you said because your vocabulary obviously owns mine lmao
but ftr:
Best Stunt Move: 62098 (off the big center jump in track 1)
Best Obstacle time: 1:37.132 (without cheats)
only two good records of mine, my track times aren't impressive.

you are a douche. just play the damn game..who would rather waste 19 minutes for 75000 points when you can just play normally and score way higher

Thats pretty nifty. I myself, am a fan of that game. Your final score was proposterously high.

its still a lot cooler than your stupid trick!
captainkroo64 5 years ago
Really Not as cool as that kid who beat that obsticle course in the other video in an insane time...
captainkroo64 5 years ago
I wouldn't really call it insane. I've beaten that run by about 8 seconds, and there are claims up to 20 seconds faster than mine.
SadisticMystic 5 years ago
Haha, pretty superb stunt trick! XD
Rapidkirby3k 5 years ago
u think its possible to do that on the other 3 stunts?- btw...have u tried the obstacle course yet???- that fokkers hard

It is possible to do that on all the other tracks, and yes, I've unlocked and completed the obstacle course.

Whats the name of da track? also what car and what system?
MadSk8ter 5 years ago
It's stunt track #4 (Warehouse). I use the Venom car because its shape is most conducive to wall stalling. This video was played on N64.
