I've had this traditional crap before.

You pay 100$ for a 20 minute session with a "doctor"

And he gives you a bag of dirt,weeds and rocks for another 100$ which you boil in water and drink.

If Yao Takes this stuff, he's not going to be back for another season or two.

It's not an inherent disadvantage. It's the Chinese system, which is modeled after the Soviet system. It's great at identifying Big Men, but it's different when you're trying to find quality ball handlers. It's like the US in soccer. All those surburban Soccer leagues are so rigid, they choke the imagination out of you. Brazil doesn't have that kind of structure, and they put out star players. As soon as China loosens it up, their guards will be better. Hopefully it's before Yao retires.
