The Queen Mother was remarkable in that she didnt become frail until well into her nineties. Yes, she had access to the best health care money could buy, but I put that down to good genes and a youthful outlook on life. Look at the Queen now, 85 years old and as erect and robust as ever!

The Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon; HRH The Duchess of York; HM The Queen; HM Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother. She gloriously lived for an entire century, epitomising and embracing the the nation throughout. Would Wallis Simpson ever have entered our hearts so? I think not. I am so glad I lived to remember her.
