They're very much inspired by 80s metal, yes, but for the most part they maintain a pretty solid hard rock harmony/verse combo. There aren't that many songs that spring to mind that associate Lordi with metal, at least to me.

Back then there was hard rock (most of what "hair/glam" metal was), heavy metal, thrash metal, doom metal--hell, even death metal in the mid to late 80s. It's a big pet peeve of mine when someone says 80s metal. It's vague and doesn't even accurately describe what was going on then.

Amen's new style is awesome! Best one to date. For some reason I don't care for OX's new costume that much. The others are cool.

The new cover for the album is pretty bleh. Not really what you'd expect from Lordi. I was kinda disappointed.
