Holy Crap It has been 20 years wow, love the song and one of my favorite movies and ya it came out in 1992, I remember my sister was born that year. Thank you =)
@hacksign000 UGH. omg. Ever since Walt died, they've been making shit they dare call Disney.. It used to be about animated movies giving us hope and faith and love in the world, and now all its about is "Disney Channel"
and what's with Ponyo? :/
Disney never made movies with people starring in them, either.
haha..i used to drive my mom crazy because i watched BEAUTY AND THE BEAST almost everyday when i was little...=D..it was my fave. movie and all time princess..and still is<33
love this beautiful song.
Celine and the man(sorry..don't know his name..forgive me)..have very beautiful and talented voices.
luv da song! luv da movie! Beauty and the Beast is like the ONLY Disney movie I can think of where the two main characters took the time to know each other before falling in love. It wasn't the "love at first sight" and "white night in shining armor" kinda thing like most Disney princess themes, you know.
This movie brings back great memories. The Songs had great meaning to it the word LOVE had some value to it. This nonsense that they play on the can never match up to movies like this.
I don't know of many artists who can probably hold their own in a duet with Celine but Peabo Bryson absolutely brought it on this song. Amazing song and an equally special performance by both artists.
I think so to and im in this currant generation of young people. I grew up with tom and jerry, cat dog, rugrats, doug. I cryed when i saw rugrats because it brought back memorys. Walt Disney rocked and it sucks he had to go. We miss ya W.D!!!
all of the best disney movies from back then are hard to find. i can only watch these videos with youtube of if i order them off the internet. those of yall that have put these videos on youtube, i really appreciate yall.
sometimes people forget. and this movie reminds people that love is a strong word and it doesnt happen all too fast. im just woah that beauty and the beast didnt love each other too fast but at the very end. i just watched it
me too! They used to be beautiful, with beautiful stories and music. I love how love is so powerful in their movies. I miss watching these as a kid, I miss classical Disney, I miss AWESOME disney, because disney used to be awesome.
I know! The movies today have no meaning to them. I don't even buy Disney movies anymore, unless they're one of the originals. And I hate the Disney Channel stuff.
ya the kids today missed out, now they have the talentless hannah montana. The classic Disney songs bring tears to my eyes (the opening of the lion king still makes me cry). Thank god I was born in the 90s to experience the last moments of disney greatness... i miss the hand drawn animation, it made it seem more personal, and they'd always be beautiful
Yeah! The characters were so beautiful! I'm so glad that I have these videos to remember the awesome past. I agree, Hannah Montana sucks. She's mean to everyone and that's the present Disney's opinion of a nice person. Sheesh!
Lol!!! You're right!! They should make someone read the comments on YouTube and see the true feelings of today's movies. Why can't they take other Fairy Tales like The Frog Prince (I think that's what it's called), the Princess and the Pea, and there are so many Greek mythology and other amazing stories to transform into an amazing Disney movie. If only someone knew...
Disney needs to look at youtube comments of these videos and see that they are strewn all over with comments like "I love the old disney" and "I miss these movies so much" and "I hate the Hanna Montana crap" and maybe they'll get it - that Hanna Montana and H S Musical are garbage and they need to return to movies like these.
lol, yeah, but that new crap is making them money. I love old Disney, and hate new Disney, but you can't blame them. Disney is all about money now, it's not the classic family fun it used to be. And I love Walt Disney, I think he was one of the top 10 greatest Americans ever born.
Who is gonna say "Oh I miss Hanna Montana" "Oh I miss H S Musical" VIRTUALLY NOBOBY as far as I'm concerned. I don't see or hear anyone missing Britney Spears for example. Let us protest! Let us buy the old movies show them to our kids and have them protest for the old kind of movies too! LET US AND OUR KIDS BOYCOTT THE NEW DISNEY AND BRING BACK THE OLD!
I'm on your side, but come on. Classic Disney movie lovers are going to start being seen as crazy Christians. I'm a conservative and I hate the fact that people relate me too crazy, and I mean crazy, Christian types. Protesting is for Liberals.
Yeah but that's only in our hearts and on discs. They will only live on when people like us are still around. I want to see more of the old kinds on the big screen and TV and I want them to continue to captivate people's hearts with good messages. Remember our society is becoming more "rational" and evil, rejecting fairy tales and even God and angels and demons, and glorifying selfishness and hedonism. Eventually these kinds of movies would be ridiculed and rejected as morality pushing nonsense.
I'm 23 years old, and I get it. We have to not talk about religion when we talk about these classic movies. Let people get the message on their own. They will. We should just be saying, "watch this movie, it's good." They'll get it.
Fairy tale stories have FAR more christian themes than you realize! Fairy tales were probably invented by christians in order to teach the basic themes of christianity to children. Athiests don't believe in magic and the supernatural, and fairy tales came mainly from the then heavily christianized Europe centuries ago.
Fairy tales weren't "invented" by Christians. Much of Christianity is actually "borrowed" from other religions. I'm not an atheist by the way.
I'm sure some Disney movies probably contain Christian themes or whatever, but if they do, I don't see them. I was pointing out the fact that not everyone who loves Classic Disney is Christian. Where on earth in Beauty and the Beast is there a Christian theme?

Jesus saves people and in BATB, Belle saved the Beast. She judges by character, not by looks. She helps the Beast change his character form bad to good, like Jesus and christians. She rejects Gaston because he was too egoistic and selfish and unwilling to change. She willingly refused to run away and instead went back to the castle to care for and love the beast just as jesus left heaven to care for us and save us on earth. I can go on if you like or maybe you've had enough "Jesus" already.
That's all a matter of interpretation though...honestly...those basic morals and principles have nothing to do with Christianity (at least as far as I'm concerned). But I see your point. Thank you.
