  • OOOO MAN WHAT KIND OF CASE ARE YOU USING!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOUR HARDDRIVE SETUP :)

  • @e1l0c0m0c0

This case is a Cooler Master HAF 932

I dont know if its sold anymore, but this case does provide tons of air flow and lots of room for a nice PC.

  • @nissan300ztt hehe thanks for the response back and yeah they dont sell it anymore right now i have a gigabyte motherboard with the phenom x3 maxed out the ram with PC3-17000 16 gigs and the big V8 from cooler master as for the video card i have a 1 gig ddr5 ati readon 5750 and 3 120mm fans in a case but i think im going to go full size this time:) or build me a better one dont know yet what do to :(but love the video dude keep up the good work :)

  • @e1l0c0m0c0

    Thank you.

Right now im unemployed and once I get back to work Im going to build another system. Probably going to be another AMD system if i can find a Motherboard that SLI capable with and AMD CPU. But if not its going to be an Intel system because AMD/Nvidia motherboards are becoming very hard to come by, granted I Havent done my research in quite some time because no money.

  • Question, I have an HP m8200n Pavillion that has an AMD dual core 6000+ @ 3.0 ghz CPU and the motherboard has a AM2 socket while also running Vista 32 bit home premium. Now I heard that it might be possible to put the 940 @ 3.0 ghz (which is AM2+ processor) and it would work. I don't plan on overclocking it either. Is this possible and would I see any improvements? I am doing more gaming now and planning to add an additional internal 1TB hd so I can move my music, games and videos to it. HELP

  • @blueblade455

I honestly dont know. The motherboard would need to be am2+ compatible as well. Sorry for the lateness is response been really busy trying to look for work, being laid off sucks.

  • @nissan300ztt That's ok. I installed the 940 into my factory HP motherboard and only the fans turned on and wouldn't even go into bios. Reinstalled the 6000+ and was back to normal. Shopped around and bought the Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H (rev. 3.3) from Tiger Direct, Xigmatek Cobra D984 CPU cooler, and replaced my factory 500 GB HD with a Western Digital 2 TB - WD2002FAEX HD. Overall I have a much faster computer!

  • I prefer samsung and my 360 Elite. Far Better graphics then the PS3 and a sony bravia. Im considering switching to ATI from Nvidia. Seems like ATI is getting far better.

  • How are your temps with the V8 dude? plz reply.

  • Well if im not OC'ing heavily anywhere from 30c to 36c ambient room temp taken into account. When im overclocked and my room temps are between 68-72f my temps are between 36c and 40c

  • i loved that line.... so for the intel junkies.. watch your ass .. xD! Nice rig

  • im just so sick and tired of hearing all the goddamned intel fanboys talk about how good their intel cpus are. Even thought AMD's run cooler have a higher OC potential and are far cheaper.

  • I think i hear a smoke detector that needs new batteries. XD

  • @acidburn675 iwas thinking about that like whats that beep and you just told me ! XD

  • yeah all the smoke detectors in this house are all linked so if one has a bad battery they all chirp....I hate it.

  • Damn Right! Intel

  • Dont get me wrong Intel makes an incredible product. But I think intel in today's economic position were in all over the world they should really drop some of their prices. I7 920 $279.00 my 940 cost me $179.99 for a a tad less performance. So im building another system its a HTPC its running a intel C2D e8400 EVGA 780i motherboard and 4gb crucial ram and a BFG GTS250 GPU and an LG Blu-Ray Drive. HT Omega Sound Card 192hz.

  • Pretty sweet system ! Are you using the Asus M4N82 Deluxe ?.

I have two Phenom II systems also. One for gaming and the other is my HTPC + high def-gaming. I had a Core i7 920, but some how it just didn't do well with SLi, so I changed to Phenom II X4 955 and all runs fine now.

Hope fully I'll have 2x MSI GTX 275 twin frozr oc cards ready for SLi in my htpc tomorrow (asus m4n72-e + PII X3 720 BE).

  • i also have the phenom 940 not overclocked, coolermaster v8 and a haf 932.. my idle temp is 38-41c and when i play cod4 or gta4,, itll go up to 48c.. am i getting hotter temps than yours?

  • Nah thats about average. I mean Im overclocked so Im going to see a bit higher temps But I think I idle at 34c when doing nothing. Just browsing the web or editing video I see 40-43c. And when gaming I see 48c so yeah thats ok. What sort of thermal paste you're using can also make a huge difference. Im using arctic silver and it seems to work well and is super easy to apply.

  • thanks. your statements helped me alot. I have another question if you dont mind. I am not using the 790chipset for my x4 940. i use the gigabyte ma780g-ud3h.. will it maximize my processor speed and will i be able to overclock in the future?? thanks again..

  • im looking at your MoBo now on the gigabyte website. The only thing thats going to make your CPU faster is when you get the AMD Phenom II 940. Get a Black Edition. It has an unlocked multiplier for easy OC'ing. And second you with your chipset you can only use ATI video cards. Unless you happen to get a GTX 295 I believe they have SLI built in, I think that card can run in anyboard. Dont quote me on it.

  • got your point, thanks for the info!

  • As i said this is the best info I can provide. But with the motherboard I have I run an Nvidia card. Actually I run 2 of them in SLI. So thats the only info I can give you.

  • Hmm, why would you be running benchmarks and browsing the web at the same time... lol. You misplaced some vocab too. It's alright though; your computer vindicates you.

  • Well I was only browsing and running benchmarks to see the multitasking ability of this CPU. And when I'm in a hurry when typing I'm not concerned with proper Vocab. Its only youtube.

And thank you. I was considering this rig build for a while. Since the phenom II's came out. I really wanted one But was seriously torn between the AMD and the Intel I7. But when I saw these guys running the AMD's and just tearin' up the benchmarks I knew I wanted the AMD.

  • nice cable management!

  • Thank you. Hoping to get it a bit better when I get my new 1000w modular power supply.

  • Well since I have the mobo and the HDD I think the whole upgrade was 650. with shipping.
