@flodderr Yes you can use these with any kind of laptop. Just might not be surround sound. see comments below for more info.

they dont do a annoying background sound when you aren't listen music ? i just bought a tritton 510 hda and it makes a buzzing sound :s any help ?

@migasYT See if there is an update for your audio driver. Also check your port connections, there may be lint or something that's screwing up. Mine never make any kind of buzzing noise. The only noise they make, is that quiet hissing noise if I turn them to the maximum and dont have anything to listen to. You'll know what I'm talking about if you turn up your car stereo all the way without listening to music. Also see if your cell phone is there, some give off wierd noises in speakers.

@justRANKit it depends what kind of computer you have: a laptop or a tower as well as who the provider of the computer is: hp, dell, etc. They sometimes dont have colors but every single audio card has icons on it for every one of the channels. Look the them to figure out what goes where.

@TryAgainEasyWin This is only for the PC; it doesnt have any connections for audio for the TV. If you could find an audio > composite converter then maybe, but I've never seen one.

@idimart This will work for any computer product BUT it will not have surround sound if you do not have a computer with 5 audio ports. So technically YES you can use this with your mac BUT you will only get stereo sound out of it.

If you don't have a 5.1 soundcard, you can buy an extern soundcard for like 20-100 bucks on Ebay.

@RageAgainstLP if your laptop only has 2, then you can use just those 2 (most likely for the green and red cables - sound & mic cables) but it wont get surround sound. I would bring in your laptop to a local pc shop, like bestbuy and ask them if you can get a 3rd party sound card adapter for your laptop. They should know what you are talking about.

You can use this headset for xbox.

How? Put the mic in a 2.5mm to 3.5mm converter. Put all the surround cables in the computer, put your xbox sound [RCA/Toslink] in computer, select recording devicers at sound and choose this to this device, then youll hear your xbox + u can talk with the PC510 HDA on xbox :)

@PrOdiGyViisto Thats right. This is TRUE surround sound. So in order to get 5 channels of sound, you need 5 plugs :)

@Odyxi THese will not be available in stores, Apparently Mad Catz has made it common practice to sell all their top notch devices / products only through their own internet store. So the only place you can get these along with other nice headsets from tritton is their store

I have a Zalman Theater. It doesn't have a subwoofer, but i learned that the quality of this headpones always depends on the soundcard. If someone experiences bad quality with headphones like the Tritton's, surely is because a Realteck or Via soundchip, the worst of the market.

Does anyone know if this model works for the xbox 360? Ive been very disappointed in Turtles Beach and I wanted to try Tritton. This is the only attractive looking one in my eyes. But I need a headset for my xbox.

@kebbun1 to be honest with you I think it's about 2x better. I absolutely KNOW the bass is about 5x better because these thump a lot harder than the AX Pro headset I had. Also everything is crisp and clear audio wise, nothing bad to report on that front :)

This can still be used on a PC without a 5.1 sound card; you don't have to use the orange and black plugins.

@WoWBoy789 This is true, The only port you absolutely need in order for this headset to work is just a general speaker output and a USB for power.

But the main reason to get this is because of surround sound :)

@boo6r Depends on your mobo manufacturer, If I were you I'd crack back open your motherboard manual and see what the colors signify (IE Center, Subwoofer, front speakers, back speakers, ETC) jThis particular headset has channels for front, middle, rear speakers, & subwoofer. Thats the reason for the 4 ports.
