There are 12 pieces of this music from the hours....all of them so moving...so intense yet smooth and inviting...it's hard to explain to other what the music of p Glass is like...it must be experienced.....there are over 100 hours of composition and more by Philip.......all of it pulls you in and holds you fast until emerge on the otherside....you are forever changed once you live it.
Great music...but please everyone, they are NOT songs! A song is a piece of music that includes singing. You can refer to music like this as a "piece" or else a "cue" or "track" since it is from a film score. Please stop abusing the word "song!"
Initially this one struck me as slightly similar to the dungeon theme for original zelda, maybe a bit o' betelgeuse or nightmare before christmas. I must see this film. Thanks for posting.
Thanks a lot for uploading this. The pics. go very well together with this beautiful music. I love the butterfly on your finger. Wish you all the best.
Excelente músico Philip Glass, ha hecho la banda sonora de varios films también brillantes, como "El ilusionista" y "Notas de un escándolo". Es de lo mejorcito que hay en este momento.
Hi dear, Thanks for making this and publishing it, beautiful images and so the chosen music, congratulations! ...for touching our souls...good luck for life!
Many thanks to the poster. This is beautiful, so melancholic and poignant. Philip Glass is a master in composition and in orchestration. It's music that touches our soul, evokes memories, consoles us, makes us feel more spiritual.
this is the part in the film where the little girl asks virginia woolf what happens when we die. I still get chills thinking about it -- and having read a lot of virginia woolf, it's even spookier and yet somehow beautiful
just noticed that. there's nothing really comedic about the movie. if anything it'd be a tragedy. check this newly published book out: "drinks at the tragedy stand-up club"--now that's a funny title.
...it reminds that passage from the movie..when the little kid ask to virginia.."where will we go when we die?"..and she just said.."w go back to where we came from"....

search nicolas and the iceni narrow road. They write beautiful new classical and folk which has echoes of Glass.

Information: Mendelssohn wrote his piece "Songs Without Words" - in the century before last! Some of you need to try to keep up more.

Philip wouldn't like you referring to this music as a "song." He'd think you were ignorant.

Oh, sorry. I mean it's a great piece of art, a musical master piece. :)

check out if you have a chance his opera Waiting for Barbarians, some parts are exquisite

THEY ARE NOT 'SONGS'. It's only a song if it involves the voice.
But good music.

Why is this in the Comedy catagory?
I think it's beautiful; the pictures and music compliment eachother wonderfully... Nothing funny about it. I rather cry than laugh when watching.
