@TheFunnyMonkeyBoy The RROD is now RDOD, The Slim console will only auto-shutdown when it overheats, and to indicate, it will not show as the 3 Red Rings, instead the power button will glow red.
The whole board seems too small for it to fit in the current case for the 360. There a lot of chances that they might make a slim version of the xbox 360. thats why im waiting this XMAS to get my xbox 360.
your 360 is the jasper chipset, valhaal wont be out till october 2010 also you wont get the rrod with jaspers. they run much cooler and cpu and gpu have been sorted out . my newphew been using a zephyr xbox 360 since june 2007 and not had one problem no rrod nothing. still working fine .
looking at that board, i would say the new xbox could be 1 inch less in height. and about 2 inches less in lengtht and half inch less in depth. so alot slimmer. and not to small.

Problems still with the Slim Console:
1. RROD, RDOD, Overheating
2. Lite-On Disc Drive - Disc-Scratching, Noisy to Few Games.
3. Few Game discs still spins even when the game is started from HDD.
4. Power Brick - Cooler in Power Brick making Grinding and Popping Noise, Supposing it got loosen and grinds on the shell of the Power Brick.
5. DVD-9, still using DVD-9 when they could move to DVD-10, DVD-18

im wondering if i have the valhalla chipset, because they all say late 2009 and my 360 is made the 17th october 2009. maybe i will not get RROD?

@Fjellmannen2008 The Jasper can get RROD but it is much less likely, maybe 20% of them will I'm guessing. If it's noisy than it is not a jasper.

the dvd will be slim like a laptop drive, so would guess the hard drive can sit on top.

the info i have got, is the hard drive will be inside. there be 2 models 120 gig and a 250 gig.not sure where there going to put it though.
