Argentina is largely an extension of Spanish culture, which is European, just as the US is largely an extension of European culture. We've created our own "cultures", but the root of our societies is based in Europe for the most part.

The Tango is originated in Argentina and Uruguay, at the Rio de la Plata (The River Plate) The Rio de la Plata is a river between Montevideo (Uruguay) and Buenos Aires (Argentina).
