I can see magnets producing the power to turn a mag motor over, and perhaps even power something small. Yes you can build a magnetic motor, and it will work, for a while, but the magnets will soon go weak, and you'll need to change them. Why do you have to spin it with your hand when the Motor That Mike Brady shows that it starts by itself when he brings the stator magnets close to the Rotor Magnets? This type where you have to start with your hand will not have much torque, but the type where you dont have to give a boost like What Mike Brady was showing I believe would have more torque in fact he claims it will put out 9 KW. There is no net torque from this or any other magnetic motor. In this video it spins due to inertia, nothing else.

@kren2012 - is it working in this video? No. He spins it up by crank handle then stops it as it only spins by the momentum he gave it. If it worked he would show it driving a load (generator) and producing power.
Notice at about the 3 minute mark it is spinning slowly while the rotor is in the magnetic field. If the magnets produced a force to drive the rotor then it should run at a fixed speed.
This is described in the footnotes as a replication of the Perendev motor aka Mike Brady's motor

Aluminum is more conductive. It will have more eddy currents than the steel parts.
The machine shown can't work in any case because the average torque over one full rotations off all such constructions (not counting losses) will always come out to zero. To prove this to your self, start with just one pole on the rotor and one on the stator. Notice that the very simple case is its own mirror image. This means that the torque vs angle must be too. From there add poles adding curves.

That hum is the sound of the hidden electric motor. I have seen countless examples of conmen making fake magnet motors and then asking for donations for more research. The "motor" uses a geared up crank at the far end to get it spinning. I assume there is a ratchet on the crank and that is what is making the noise.
He spins it up to speed, and if you listen carefully it slows down while he is talking. This device is not driving a load so would stop quickly if connected to anything. The net effect of the magnets is zero, so the stator is actually merely a flywheel. People are distracted by his spiel and aren't aware it is not really working like a motor.

When magnets are used in this manner they lose their magnetism quite rapidly. Yes you can build a magnetic motor, and it will work, for a while, but the magnets will soon go weak, and you'll need to change them. Oh, and one more thing... it requires more power to make the magnets than you will ever get from the motor.

A magnetic engine will work, but not the way they are going about it. A few magnets with some shielding will not do it. Is it Possible for a Magnetic engine to work without any external manmade intervention? The answer is a Resounding YES!. No Fuel, No Batteries, No Electrical Pulse Required! Why do you have to spin it with your hand when the Motor That Mike Brady shows that it starts by itself when he brings the stator magnets close to the Rotor Magnets? This type where you have to start with your hand will not have much torque, but the type where you dont have to give a boost like What Mike Brady was showing I believe would have more torque in fact he claims it will put out 9 KW. @MichaelJilly - the Mike Brady motor (video) is suspected to have a starter motor hidden that is removed when the video camera moves around the machine.
There is no net torque from this or any other magnetic motor. In this video it spins due to inertia, nothing else.
Mike Brady is in jail for defrauding investors over his scam.

@kren2012 - is it working in this video? No. He spins it up by crank handle then stops it as it only spins by the momentum he gave it. If it worked he would show it driving a load (generator) and producing power.
Notice at about the 3 minute mark it is spinning slowly while the rotor is in the magnetic field. If the magnets produced a force to drive the rotor then it should run at a fixed speed.
This is described in the footnotes as a replication of the Perendev motor aka Mike Brady's motor

No it won't begin to accelerate, but it sure will preserve motion very successfully though inertia mass and magnetic field angularity management. No one's yet achieved a 'run away' system that begins to accelerate spontaneously. Wrt the second motor you need sophisticated electronic motion management and leverage to get over unity power.

Aluminum is more conductive. It will have more eddy currents than the steel parts.
The machine shown can't work in any case because the average torque over one full rotations off all such constructions (not counting losses) will always come out to zero. To prove this to your self, start with just one pole on the rotor and one on the stator. Notice that the very simple case is its own mirror image. This means that the torque vs angle must be too. From there add poles adding curves.

Using Magnets in perpetual repulsion to provide torque is proven.
However this is FAR from perpetual motion.
a) you can see him introducing angular momentum into the device,.by twisting the axel.
b) you can see the thing slowing down.
IF is were perpetual, it would start to spin of its own accord due to the magnetic repulsion, & the rpm would stay absolutely constant.
But a permanant magnet is an intruiging source of force... I'm sure there is a way to exploit it for short term overunity.

@edrianquintos No magnet motors do not work. That is why I pointed out the noise in this one. If this machine was for real with its design it would barely make any noise if any. That hum is the sound of the hidden electric motor. I have seen countless examples of conmen making fake magnet motors and then asking for donations for more research. I know of at least 3 people today who are living off of such donations.

@edrianquintos (The magnets are all in the repel mode but must have a binetic shield on one side of both opposing magnets to get past the pulling force before it reaches the pushing force.) It is only as good as the neo magnets if they can keep their magnetism from losing it's strength. It is said that neo magnets can keep up for about 400 years but on this design it would be questionable. I am building one now. I just ordered the shielding for mine tonight.

Every one would want one for thier house obviously and with the world population constantly rising new houses are allways being built. True the profit on that would be more limited than what oil can make but. Smaller versions of the machine would be able to be included in every thing from a flashlight to a lawn mower.

Ofcourse this also means things that normally would use batteries would be a bit more expensive because of the expense of the magnets. The real profit would come from building the small versions that other companies can incorporate into thier small electronics. Perendev motor: Expensive waste of time. Notice that the rotational energy is derived by way of initially turning the rotor by hand or by sliding the stator into place. From there it's all downhill. You can even hear the device slowing down. There is no output torque, as the operator can easily stop the rotor by hand.

Magnets can only convert other forms of energy to electrical energy.
Magnets only produce a force, not power or energy. Power takes motion and energy takes power and time.

You alternator, using electromagnets, with no force of their own, converts motion energy from your engine to electrcial energy, by moving electromagnets past other coils and inducing potential energy into them. You car's system draws the electrical induced energy into the battery and other systems.
Again. Thre is no energy or power in the force of a magnet. Something has to do the work and the magnets can convert the work into electrical energy.
This is grade seven basic physics.

The whole hand pushing thing does not have me convinced. Frankly I would not mind if I see a demo where someone walks in and say..."....well this has been running now for one hour lighting this 25WATT bulb...etc..etc...bla bla" But nothing like this I see.
And the video does not show a closed image anyway.

i cant belive this is the most watched vid when searching under - Bedini. He says at the start - " its an exspecive toy"..... some do work - that one dont and i cant belive the amount of enginering that went into it.

The "motor" uses a geared up crank at the far end to get it spinning. I assume there is a ratchet on the crank and that is what is making the noise.
He spins it up to speed, and if you listen carefully it slows down while he is talking. This device is not driving a load so would stop quickly if connected to anything. The net effect of the magnets is zero, so the stator is actually merely a flywheel. People are distracted by his spiel and aren't aware it is not really working like a motor.
