  • that bike looks like it's dying . no power,

  • its all about motorized bicycles guys, i got a kit that came with everything for 160 dollars and im getting 150 miles to the gallon and hitting 38 mph flatground. registration and plate for it costs 19 dollars in CA. i spend less then 5 dollars a week to drive over 120 miles.

  • thats a joke. battery will lose 20 percent capacity next full charge

  • @sweetgyy Wrong professor Lipos increase in capacity to reach full capacity after about 4-5 recharges.

  • What is this vehicle? I keep seeing short videos with little information.

  • 4.7 HP ! Wow !

  • they dont have helmet

  • Heard The Engine Sounds Like A lAMBOGINI

  • i wanna buy one

  • crap

  • full charge at bottom of hill; batteries drained at top of hill

    :(

  • lol just blame the Americans, truth is without america Hitler would have probably won, and you wouldn't be as free as you are now, you wouldn't revive relief efforts when a disaster strikes your country, etc........

  • @IvIast3er Good grasp of history pinhead.

Germany was all but beaten by the time the U.S. actually took part in the war (in retaliation against Japan).

We didn't come in and save the day. In fact we held back (ironically) for most of the war until Japan's actions made going into the war politically correct at the time.

  • 27 seconds of my life that will never be seen again.

  • i did find myself willing them up that hill electric motors are fine the batterys suck!

  • So it pulls two tiny Chinese people up a hill at 6mph,

    and it's time for a recharge.. .

  • thenoblequran (Ctrl+Enter)

  • Next we'll see a Biker Gang called " Hell's Treehuggers" !

  • Long live electricity...Harleys always made my feet go to sleep from the vibration...Now I ride Golf Carts. OK I admit it...It's an old '75 Harley Golf cart but the vibration is still there...No No No...The Davidson family didn't invent the vibrator did they? I kept tellin' my ol' lady that she needed to get something good between her legs...(and it ain't a Honda)

  • My 25 year old Honda Rebel gets 85 mpg. I bought it used for $500. Its engine is not particularly technically advanced or fuel efficient, but it gets 85mpg. Its all about power to weight. If you don't have to lug a huge steel box around you don't have to pay for it. Why pay to carry heavy floor mats, spare tires, an AM/FM radio, an air conditionign system, 100 miles and back. We've had the solution to the energy crisis for 100 years now, people just will not use it.

  • HELMETS!!!!

  • At last it's been invented! The invisible cable.

  • I have an electric bike and now I see them all over! lol

  • nice driving lines!

  • looks like fun

  • Nice helmets!

  • do u need a licence to ride them on the road ?

  • not good up hill

  • Hi, who makes a good 3kw hub motor? one of my friends wants to sell scooters in India?

  • how much is it?

  • I would agree and disagree Mr. Nephil. I think it's not so much an American problem but a human problem. Look at the Chinese, they have no oil, the air quality in their cities is like sticking your head over a bucket of burning tar, they have immobile gridlock with only 2 percent of the population driving. And what do a huge amount of them think they're going to be doing in a few years? Driving SUVs. All humans have to have a consumerist peace treaty. I'll conserve if you will. Deal?

  • @nephil1977

First of all, the American ambition is to have the freedom to drive, ride, or pilot what we would like. It's not always about power but the rumble and roar of an engine.

Secondly, I don't blame ANY biker for wanting a loud bike. There are so many idiots on the road these days who don't bother to use a mirror much less their own turn signals while driving. If I were riding a motorcycle, I'd want my presence felt even if it meant that I wasn't "politically correct" or "green".

  • @nephil1977 Agreed.. Nice to hear a legitimate point made once in while... I'm purchasing a 150cc gas scooter for a grand. It gets mileage that would make any Toyota Prius piss oil... With a top speed of 65? It gets me from point A-B in no time at all... Stylish I must add too... Virtually no emissions either. Green certainly is the way to go in my opinion... =)

  • superlativ

  • Comment removed

  • man i agree, blocked green future indeed

now they want to tax cO2 that we exhale and plants inhale

instead of pouring resources into alternative energy, crock, simply a crock

  • @ErinCorlez

I'm not sure if you realize it, but your blind hate for America is bigotry. All that you hope to achieve in advancing the human cause is noble until you point the finger and call the names. It's the biggest reason the world is in turmoil today, because "I'm right and you're wrong," leaves no room for dialogue, compromise, or resolution without war.

  • Comment removed

  • @ErinCorlez I believe you have adopted a very negative persona about the American people. Widen you views mate. Get to know an American citizen for who they really are. Not Republican fascist assholes who we are made out to be.

  • Comment removed

  • @SETHNEEDSAHUG

democrats and republicans are both detrimental to the american population

  • @ErinCorlez cold war my ass, nice joke but really this is done deliberately to keep the usa from ever getting on it's feet... so as to destroy the dollar, one day overnight... just like the "mark" was in pre-ww2 to set up ww2... just like ww3 will be for us.

  • @ErinCorlez , not so , most bikes in china are gas but electrics are everywhere, gas out numbers electric 5 to 1 just from living in china(an thats my view, , trust me the silent electric scooter riders scare the heck out of me as they blow the horn right before passing you as a warning not to walk in front of them , i have learned the sound of tires rolling so now i expect a horn , i seen many impressive scooters in china , they lead the world in this there must be 1000s of makers there

  • @ErinCorlez hey, thats not cool man, all of us americans arnt the same, just sayin, you didnt have to put that part in there, we arnt the most efficient country, but we do alright, i didnt read the other dudes comment but cmon, theres no need to judge a whole country on a couple of assholes and are stupid leaders

  • power maxi scooter ??????????????????????????

  • Power to da maxxxx BIATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • compra uma moto de verdade ou vai tomar no teu cú filho da puta do caralho!!!

  • Eu gostaria que você comprar uma moto para mim e para você me comer na bunda.

  • I have a Honda gas scooter. It goes 41mph and I can drive around all week on $2.00 worth of gas. I drove it to work today. It doesn't have to be charged, I can drive as far as I want. Parts are cheap, The battery was $19.00. It has 1 spark plug that costs $2.00 the air filter is washable. It is a 1983 scooter and starts up flawlessly after 26 years. Can't see buying the slower electric scooters with expensive batteries that have short distances and must be charged more than they are driven.

  • indeed, small gas engines are way better

  • That's Honda's for you. But the thing is electrics have way less moving parts than internal combustion engines. So I think that in the years ahead reliability will be one of the great strengths of the electric. Also, there are very few emission controls on scooters so they pollute like S.O.B.s That having been said I don't think you'll be parting with your baby any time soon. If it ain't broke don't fix it, or change it.

  • @snwbm , and it's very interesting how you forgot to mention the money you spent on a licence and the registration every year, and the money on insurance, every month. Electric scooters have none of that.

  • @TheTurbinator So it's a nearly 5 horsepower motor vehicle for which you don't need a license or insurance? Are you SURE? Must be very lax regulations round where you live. I'm not sure I could name anywhere off the top of my head where you'd get away with that. Not without it having to be fitted with a pretty draconian power- and speed-limiter anyway.

Some early 4-wheel gas runabouts made less BHP than that, and a whole load of must-have-license & insurance 50/70cc gas scoots don't either.

  • @snwbm Great, but Honda doesn't appear to make anything remotely like that anymore.

  • @snwbm Amen brother, I have a 1985 Honda Rebel, gets 65mpg, and goes 80mph. I load it up with a weeks worth of groceries, its a mule. Buy parts off of ebay. Have taken it completely apart and put it back together. Love it. Still, if you can steal electricity, like at work, an electric scooter can zero out your gas bill. Which is why I look at them, too bad they are absurdly expensive motors and batteries.

  • O.P.E.C. nations and Venezuela are no friends of America, but between them, they supply over half the oil we consume. In fact these countrys either endorse or applaud terrorism against us, yet the majority of Americans go on sucking up oil and, even worse, chide, deride people who try to use electricity or other means to get from point A to point B. Reading O.P.E.C.s website is eye-opening as these nations try to control the world economy with oil.

  • They are at scooternetstorecom

  • I just bought one form the Scooter Net Store on the web. They ship right to your door and they are dirt cheap. I would recomend these scooters to anyone!

  • what is this store website?

  • Ohh that scooter sucks.......barely made it up the hill.......horrible.

  • I think it probably has more to do with the fact that due to peak oil gas will be astronomically expensive and the politicians know this, oil is cheap at the moment because the market demand has collapsed, but in a few years when the present financial crisis is over and India and China are back in the game oil will be in shorter supply than it is now and the price will rocket to many times what it has ever been and it gets worse... oil is used to make fertilizer so food will be high cost too!!

  • He needs to put some silicone grease on the planetary gears

  • Good. I can't stand cars!

  • aww the poor lil thing...

  • poor little bug lol

  • 3500W or 350W???? I saw mani eletric sccoter announces, but was mostly 350W.

  • This model is 3500W or 3.5kW - I bought one. It's great fun and quite powerful. Looking forward to continued improvements but it works perfectly for me. And it's like magic. The quiet turns heads.

  • Looks great! what sort of distance approx on one charge do you think?

  • Oh yeah if you check out falconEV, tell em steve sent ya. They have neat stuff for e-bikes too. I am going to get an e-bike in a month or two as well just for fun.

  • Will check it out.

The people that are negative about these must remember a 110cc petrol bike will struggle a lot with 2 people up a hill and will need a lot more servicing!

The new tech batteries just out pack a huge amount of power! expensive right now, $600us for a motorcycle battery.

    But that will drop soon.

  • Look on youtube at TEKBATTERY

Then have a look at their site tekbattery(dot)com

They look like the answer to the power to weight issue for elec transport.

  • So quiet! I hate petrol mopeds because they make a horrible noise and as a result everyone who drives one looks like a chav, but this is cool!

  • that was not 85 mph but nice try

  • ..? where does it say 85mph? lawl

  • The freedom to enjoy speed and power is just that, a freedom. That's what America is about, freedom baby, we do it because we can !

  • harika bişey ama trde yok bunlardan??

  • As a 59 year old north American I have easily noticed that we are a somewhat jaded country in many many a ways. The need for speed, power n supersize everything is evident all over your country. The comments on this video are proof poz as I read it.

Sad to say will change one day in the not to distant future, like it or not.

Any way, I wish this n all EV manufactures much success. However it just may take some time in this corner of the world to get down off there cloud n back to reality.

  • I notice you say "North American" and not "American, so I'm assuming you live in Canada? You state: "...your country" which indeed, my country is the USA, and I know for fact most Canadians are just like many (not all) Americans in their ideals that somehow we have some special right to the world's crude oil. These types are the last adopters of new technology, yet every organism on our planet that has not adapted has gone extinct. Americans will get the clue when prices for gas soar again.

  • Seen China lately?

    Seen their technical ability NOW?

    Seen their troops?

Who is bankrolling / supplying US?

America is already extinct, just nobody is fit enough to bury it yet.

  • People going to China Mart, um...er...Wal Mart sure don't help the situation. But to say America is "extinct" is absolutely an assinine, mega-pessimistic assertion. No country has our freedoms, our strengths and our resiliency.

Once we get past the Obama era, we can begin to again be the world power we truly were meant to be.

  • I guess you have an interest in hoping or believing it is asinine. No other country has your debt - - but they DO have the natural resources that you will need to fight for to fulfil "your world destiny" (crazy)

And now, they aren't the third world walk overs that you are used to. They have technology, resources, fit populations of fighters, their own "destiny" - and you are mutually exclusive. You are pampered by the Pacific, Atlantic, Canada and Mexico, which is also why you are clueless.

  • @lolsmileyface the time of america as a world power is over. The biggest problem with amercia is that it cant accept this. There is mainly no production left in your Country. the financial-politics are completely unrealistic to the financial-problems in america. Also China is the biggest creditor of the USA. And the government doesnt learned anything from the last few years. Even the people seems to change their view of money and credits a little bit. Amercias time being a world power is over.

  • @ElcurionExodus This coming from another person in another country who seems to think the fall of America will somehow benefit themselves or their country. Guess what, pal? You're gonna be the next slave like we've been since birth. Do you honestly believe that manufacturing jobs coming to your country will magically make life's pains go away? You'd better check yourself for wishing form more production jobs and the like. You will not benefit from the collapse of America. It will be worse on you

  • @chop98 i dont think that anybody really has a benefit from the collapse of america. But it shows the problems of the western countries(im from germany so i count my country to these.) The problem is that for the government the industry is far more important than the people. And also that those ho have influence in politics dont care about the people as long as they get more and more money and as long as the industry get what it wants.

  • @chop98 and in America this mentality is recently stronger. But because the government hide his actions under the cloak of freedom and democracy for years the peoples of America often doestn see the reality and are blinded by patriotism etc.

I dont say that all of them are that way but a lot. In the european countries it isnt that different. I posted the answer to lolsmileyface because he seems to be like one of those, blind of patriotism.

  • @ElcurionExodus This is correct. I agree 100%. Industry is ok. Just as long as it's benefiting the people doing and providing service and product that makes life better, but not at the cost of the world. Freedom is an illusion here. The only problem for the elite is the fact that they let us think it for too long. I don't know how anybody who would study the sordid history of America would ever think the same of it. When we fall apart, payment will need to be made for the treachery in the US.

  • @ElcurionExodus , usa debt china 2.5 trillion , japan 2 triilion, central banks of europe 9 triilion , , the europeans are the largest creditor to the usa

  • @ElcurionExodus - Matter of fact, the USA is still the world's largest economy, by quite a bit.

    Here's the 2011 numbers:

    01 : United States

    GDP : $14,580,000,000,000

    02 : China GDP : $7,800,000,000,000

I don't see this changing anytime soon. As much as you spew non-facts, you also don't give any examples.

Since China owns so much U.S. debt, they need America. If America were unable to pay back such debt, it would put China into a tailspin.

  • @wallooga dude the trouble is when you have to replace the batteries they are VERY EXPENSIVE. Its almost a throw away bike.

  • Nice scooter but what was the point of this video?

  • it is only 70A on climbing current

  • nice...gravity not as bad as it seems eh?

  • Looks like you barely made it. And it probably ate of all your battery.

  • buddchiefer,

Right on. Hopefully for these riders, home is DOWN hill from there.

  • 4.666hp

  • These scooters are marketed in the USA under such names as RMartin and others if you Google alot.3000Watts is what the one's available here are rated. So far (May 2008), there is no warranty available here in the West for lithium batteries-and lithium is key for success for us Americans used to power and less fuss in battery maintenance.

  • There are lithium batteries with warranties available -- they're just really expensive! See the 3-year warranty on the battieries for the Optibike (made in Colorado like the Opti) for an example.

  • Haha, don't go to far from home.

  • yup, looks awefully steepy...
