  • Vietnam war? This song came after that. It's a 70's song. Late 70's at least. But then again, they may have been 68. I don't know.

  • @DRLashley1 you dork...song was released in 1968. The Paris Peace Accords were signed 1973

  • @douglasduncan100 that movie was surreal to me. I hated the elevator scene with the body parts falling down on the janitor. Yuck. That movie made me have sleepless nights.

  • @rsvy913688 ive found the film on here gonna watch it tonight and yes some parts made me cringe lol i first watched it cause the actress in it is also in a nightmare on elm st 3 dream warriors another great horror of its time :)

  • The Ramones brought me here. They have a certain rendition of this song which I'd heard previously. Somehow I prefer THIS version however .

    :)

  • Is this real life?

  • Wonderful:)

  • one of the greatest songs of 1968. brings back memories of that summer.

  • absolutely love your video!!!!! very well done!!

  • you're right - SUPERNATURAL - yes!

  • Time isn't real....It's an illusion, but so is the rest of man's creation... which is constructed with the use of time, which happens at 18.5 miles a second for humans on earth. And then there's the illusion of gravity as well...

  • Love this classic! 'Glad to have made the TIME to listen to it again. :-)

  • I can remember 4 or 5 of us with our steel pots on and flack jackets on, sitting ontop of a bunker passing a bowel filled with some burning Con Sai and getting very, very Dinky Dow. Man I really don't know how the fuck I survived my 365 over there. It was fun at times. Still remember the faces and some of the names. Never Forget. Vietnam is here until I die.

  • @bamnibaum That must have been freaky with your Buddies out there 'on the wire' wondering when something was going to happening and ripped out. That was a beautiful country and I'm thinking this happened maybe around Dusk and watchin the Sun go down with this pulsing along. Far out!

  • @bamnibaum

    Welcome home, sir.

  • @bamnibaum A BOWEL??? Man, things must have been much worse there than I thought! Thanks for serving!

  • The Ramones did great cover of this.

  • I was brought here by TIME. This is the best song ever written in its TIME about TIME. TIME was important then as it is now and I need to think about the TIME I spend on this earth everyday and be grateful I still have TIME. This song speaks to me as I was psychedelicized at age14, so I live in another TIME, forever. A unique TIME to my generation, which passed on years ago. But you can't fool someone who has been psychedelicized at a young age. :) This song is so meaningfu! Thanks Chamber bros!

  • @Fyneparent22 The key word here is TIME.

  • Easily one of the best tunes from one of the best eras in American music.

  • Im friends with the man himself Lester Chambers an awsome guy :)

  • I love this music :D

  • i remember listening to this on my 8 track..talk about a classic...

  • @MrHoward727 Was it the whole song? Sometimes 8-tracks would split a song between two tracks, which really sucked.

  • This song freakin rocks.....I have quite the diverse collection of music, but in my opinion this is one of the best songs EVER recorded. Peace be with you all.

  • i got a smile form an unexpected trip

  • God this is amazinggggggggg. Found it after watching Girl, Interrupted.

  • SUPERNATURAL!

  • I saw these guys at Filmore East in 69 and they had this bad ass hit and now this bad ass video - who did this? EXCELLENTE!

  • Retaking the golden gate is fun with this playing

  • @TrickIcarus "Retaking the Golden gate"???? HUH??

  • @PawneeBill47 Homefront

  • @TrickIcarus I guess I don't get it.

  • @PawneeBill47 Homefront is a videogame based on a fictional story of a Korean invasion of America in the year 2025. Yes, in it, the U.S. marines launch an assault on the occupied Golden Gate Bridge. It's a rather different and epic story written by the same guy who wrote Red dawn. John Milius I believe his name is?

  • fractals are more fun when they are psychedelicized :)

  • my kids know the words to all these songs, musta done something right lol

  • LSD!!!

  • @70bluestar That is amazing. I am 26, and always wonder what people of your generation feel like hearing these songs. I have a lot of respect for you veterans :)

  • What do I feel like? Like I'm in high school! Like music was passionate and expressive, like feelings were important.

  • This is one of the most meaningful pieces of music ever created.

  • @throbbinnut

It's great to see someone who understands this song. I agree with you, 114%.

  • Totally groovy man - psychodelic...!

  • I still got the album with the collage cover thats trippy..........

  • Supernatural, you brought me here (:

  • Brilliant visuals! Takes me back, way back.

  • Justin Beiber (yeah yeah, another anti-Beiber comment; get over it) disliked this video for the simple purpose to try to show the World autotune teeny-bopper shit is the future...

I think not. True music lies in the past. What is called "music" today is absolute and utter shite.

  • Icarus

  • Oh, yeah baby now! My soul has been psychedelicized!

  • best rock tune of any black group of that era ( yeah jimi was the best overall), this tune is fresh!.and just thnk of the shit tech they had to work with.... tommy

  • Dude, I'm old enough to remember dancing to this song in high school with those kinds of images projected on the wall of the gym! Thanks for the flashback!

  • This song reminds me of the movie Crooklyn and the video game Homefront.

  • Ah, yes . . .

    thank you . . .

    *¬◊

  • Love the long version ♫

  • Many a joint was passed listening to this in Nam in 1969

  • They were at the Aug 1968 New York Rock Festival one year before Woodstock as the 2nd act with Janice Joplin & Big Brother and the Holding Company 3rd act then Jimi Hendrix. Hendrix to party on with Janice. Yeah there was no need to hear more music but Canned Heat and Aurthur Lee's Love helped out there are 60s song on youtube now. The Chambers Brothers had an impressive stage presence being so tall the drummer in the center up on a higher platform to equal the height.

  • AWESOME MAN !!!!

  • ah, the soundtrack to my ill-spent youth....

  • Homefront brought me here

  • Fantastic song, terrific video! Thanks for posting!

  • heavy flashbacks man

  • I finally found the original version instead of the single edit version.

  • @jwjeffrey ... This clip was from the original song.

  • I love the whole song. Why they cut the song into little pieces when radio stations wish to play it is beyond my comprehension. Unless it was meant to be played for 2 to 4 minutes max, then leave it alone!

  • It might be the longest version of the song, but it sucks because the ending was clip off.At least with the other versions on here they clip some time off during the song not at the end of

  • Awesome, can you image finding video of them: PRICELESS

  • nice vid! : )

  • Is this THE longest version of this tune??? Don't tell me, there's a fifteen-minute version!

  • DUDE, THIS IS THE BEST, YOU HIT THE MASTER LOAD WITH THIS VIDEO, YOUR A TALENT TO RECKON WITH MY MAN, LET OTHERS FOLLOW, YOU LEAD...!!!
